Relaxing stay!

After prison tour stay

We came to do the Mansfield Prison Tour and this was the perfect place to stay! Quiet and peaceful. Just a great place to kick back and relax after the tour.

Perfect getaway

I booked this stay for Valentine’s Day, and it exceeded expectations. Hosts were easy to communicate with, the room included recommendations on nearby activities/food and location was great-not too far from anything. The vibe of the room was my favorite. Small details played a huge part of our comfort and relaxation. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay.!

Absolutely Gorgeous

Me and my husband stayed for our 10 year anniversary and loved it! Bed was comfortable, coffee bar was amazing, and the "photo booth" is the cutest. Thanks for having us! It was beautiful and cozy.

What a gem of a place - extraordinary fun !

Thoroughly enjoyable stay from start to finish. That room is exactly as gorgeous and cozy/romantic as it look on the photos. Everything is in tiptop shape, and it is very clear that the owners pay a lot of attention to each little detail. Communication before and after the stay was impeccable - all of our needs were thoroughly taken care of. Next up for us will be the adjacent Old Schoolhouse !

Nice getaway retreat

We stayed for one night while we attended the Blood Prison Haunted House. It was as cute as described. I highly recommend it if you are visiting the Reformatory. It was decorated for Shawshank prison movie.

Great location and vibe

We stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary. We loved the fun decor and vibe of the place! It was a great location that wasn’t too far away from things to do, and we took some of the recommendations out of the binder on the table 😁 thanks!

Home away from home

I took my husband for an extended weekend and this was exactly what we needed. The space is perfect and has all the accommodations you could need. The owners are onsite but you don't see or hear them. The view is amazing as well. Thank you Traci & Bob for giving us a relaxing weekend full of fun and new adventures!!

Very sweet and quiet place. Felt like a home away from home! Perfectly accommodating, thankfully for all the amenities. More than 5 stars!

We had an amazing time here! It was the perfect touch to add to our Shawshank Redemption/Ohio State Reformatory activities! Super clean, quiet country setting yet so close to town, activities and restaurants! We will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring another couple to stay in the “school house” located on same grounds. The owners definitely take good care of the place and take pride in making it a wonderful couples getaway! Also purchased homemade candles made by them, they smell like you could eat them!

Shawshank Weekend

What a great property! Both the room and the property are immaculate, and I highly recommend both Inn Carceration and the schoolhouse next door. It's a very serene setting perfect for relaxing and still only a short drive into titan.

Hidden Gem Close to OSR

My wife and I stayed here during a music festival and it was close to everything but far enough away to enjoy some fresh air. The bed was very comfortable and the space was exactly as described. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

I have already encouraged other family members to book a stay here! We came to the area to see Indy cars race at the Mid-Ohio track, and it took only 17 minutes (on pretty, uncrowded roads) to arrive at the gate. Our suite was clean and comfortable with a roomy bathroom, a lovely bed, and a well-supplied kitchen. We enjoyed the fun colors of the "fireplace" and all the Shawshank decor and props. The Ohio State Reformatory is a 15-20 minute drive away, and absolutely do not miss it! We learned so much. Oh, and don't forget to explore the charming backyard, too.

Relax and unwind

Great place, in a country setting. We slept well and enjoyed the theme of Shawshank. The bed was comfy and the kitchenette and bathroom were all we needed for a short stay. We would recommend this listing as a quiet and peaceful place to relax.

Anniversary getaway

Shawshank theme went perfectly with our weekend plans of doing OSR tour. Room was well done, comfortable and cozy. The property grounds and landscaping are beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend staying here. Location is close to alot of restaurants etc. 15 minutes in either direction. Even took home a beautiful smelling candle made by property owners.

Hello, we are Bob and Traci Zacharias and we have lived on and loved this property for going on 15 years now. We like to travel, ride bikes, visit with friends and family and are kind of addicted to auctions! We have spent many years collecting, buying and selling and many of these things can be found in the two properties that we rent as well as in our own. When we aren't traveling, we are very happy here in the country but we can hop in our cars and be to town in less than 10 min.! It really is the best of both worlds!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

While we are just a short 10-20 min. drive to many attractions that bring travelers to town (Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course race track, Ohio State Reformatory, Clearfork Reservoir & Marina, Kingwood Center Gardens, Apple Hill Orchard, etc.), we are also able to get away from the traffic and noise and enjoy the peace and serenity of being "away from it all".

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Bob and I have really enjoyed creating this space for couples to relax, refresh and just have some fun! So many of our guests visit this area to tour the Ohio State Reformatory so we thought it would be fun to design something that coordinated with that experience! For you racers, we have ample parking for towed vehicles and/or trailors. We are only 15-20 min. drive to most area attractions and we are also conveniently located amid four adjoining cities which gives our guests many choices of places to eat, visit, play!
