Embrace outdoor dining in comfort with an integrated heater for cozy evenings, a ready-to-use BBQ, or unwind by the indoor fireplace while enjoying classic board games and puzzles.
With a total of four bedrooms and two bathrooms, the main house comprises two bedrooms and one bathroom, offering communal living space. Additionally, a separate sleep-out unit provides two bedrooms and one bathroom, featuring large windows and doors for a serene ambiance. The layout of the property provides flexibility so all areas can be used for the extended family or just book the main house for smaller groups.
Located just a short 10-minute drive from the Matiatia passenger ferry and Kennedy Point car ferry, accessing this accommodation is a breeze. For those relying on local transportation, a nearby bus stop at the end of the street allows easy connectivity to the ferry terminal or island exploration, with a brief 10-minute walk to the accommodation.

Youâll have full, private use of the property during your stay, including the main house, separate sleep-out, and the spacious outdoor areas surrounded by native bush. The home is set up for easy arrivals and relaxed living, with everything you need close at hand.
Check-in is from 2:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available for an additional fee; weâll confirm closer to your stay. Please note that if thereâs a same-day guest changeover, these canât be offered.

Genuine Kiwi Bach is tucked among native bush and just a 15-minute walk (or 1-minute drive) from Little Oneroa Beach â a quiet, sheltered bay where you can grab a coffee, wander along the water, or enjoy fish and chips on the sand.
Within about a 10-minute walk or a 1-minute drive, youâre in Oneroa Village, the islandâs main hub for cafĂ©s, food, and local flavour. A great lunch tip â Two Fat Buns, where youâll find their award-winning Beef Bun Burger. Grab your burger, stroll down to the beachfront, and eat it while watching the waves roll in.
For a beautiful evening splurge, head to The Oyster Inn in Oneroa â a beloved island institution led by owner Josh Emett, offering fresh oysters, local fish, and a seaside dining experience with a view.
Back at the bach, youâll return to the trees, the native birds calling, and the calm that comes with being somewhere just right.
Other Things to Note:
Like most Waiheke homes, Genuine Kiwi Bach runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully during their stay.
The property is pet-friendly, though please note itâs only partially fenced, so supervision is needed for dogs. With steps and sloping garden areas, the home may not suit guests with limited mobility.
Minimum stay requirements apply, seven nights from mid-December to mid-January, three nights on holiday weekends, and two nights at all other times.

Our Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with after-hours support for anything urgent. Once youâve checked in, the bach is yours to enjoy, private, comfortable, and set up for an easy, relaxed stay.
