Our wonderful hosts made us feel welcome the moment we walked through the door. Recently renovated with views of downtown from the deck that sports a new gas grill made for a nice dining-in experience. Only minutes from the 101 and a short walk up and then down the steps to Sunset Junction, our location provided a multitude of options for dining out and activities.
I can't say enough good things about Steve's and Patrick's place. And maybe I shouldn't, because this wonderful urban paradise should be kept a secret. But then again it would be unfair not to give other people a chance to live there, as, unfortunately, we can't be there all year round.
The house is in the cutest little neighborhood, sporting a surprising variety of all kinds of beautiful exotic plants attracting hummingbirds and finches with the skyscrapers of DTLA in the background. The apartment is equipped with everything you can wish for; it features a fantastic deck with a killer view, kitchen appliances are modern and squeaky clean, the bed is very comfy, so is the sofa. Steve and Patrick were extremely welcoming and friendly (as were their cute dogs), and they even let us use their washing machine. Really, and I'm not saying this lightly, fewer places I've lived at during my life so far have felt as much as a real home.
I was born & raised in Connecticut. Moved to LA 30 years ago. My partner Patrick and I moved to Silverlake 15 years ago. We have 2 Border Collies and a very large backyard. I'm very passionate about music volunteer at KCRW and attend many concerts. We are 15-20 minutes from most music & theatre venues
I moved into Silverlake in 2001 Its a great neighborhood and love the bohemian feel that Silverlake has to offer. There are many artists & musicians that live in the area.
