Great cottage which was fully furnished. Quiet location behind 2 houses.
Gisele was very responsive to our questions. I recommend this property to anyone staying in Silver Lake Echo Park area. Walking distance to some great restaurants too. We would stay here again
Great cottage in Silver Lake--just down the street from the best coffee in the nation!
The cottage was perfect for our few days in LA--though it would also be a great place to stay for longer times. It was very clean and the space was lovely and very comfortable. When we were there, the weather was not great, so not too much time out on the back patio. But in the usual LA beautiful weather, the patio would be beautiful on a sunlit day or in the evening with the string lights on. The cottage has all the comforts needed--a great shower, nice kitchen, large living room and lovely bedroom. The location is perfect for walking the streets of SilverLake, which we love to do. Also, tons of cafes and restaurants easily within walking distance. Lamill Coffee is just down the street and it is, in our opinion, the best coffee around!! Grab a cup and walk the beautiful Silver Lake reservoir!! Thank you to Gisele--this is a great place to stay in LA!!
We loved it here and would definitely stay here again. We walked everyday around the reservoir and stopped by our favorite coffee place, Lamill. Wonderful restaurants all in walking distance.
Stayed here on a trip to generally explore LA. The driveway was So nice to have so we didn't have to go hunting for street parking when all we wanted to do was sleep.
The cottage had everything we needed, including pots and pans for cooking! The bed was super comfortable and the entire place just exuded the best chill out vibe. We were happy to have a nice, quiet spot to get away from the hubbub from time to time. The nice part is the location really is centrally located, with a majority of our destinations never being further than 15-20 minutes away by car. (the concert venue was only 5!)
Gisele was super communicative and helped answer any of my questions. Would definitely stay here again if I return!
The little cottage was as described and comfortable. The parking space was useless, don't count on using it. Previous guest's Toyota Prius didn't fit nor did our rental Ford Fusion. It's a popular, happening neighborhood and finding street parking was difficult, especially on a weekend night. (I was happy to see my car still there in the morning, not towed or ticketed.) I am also a little annoyed by the unwillingness of the owner to allow early/late access on a case by case basis. The cleaner was not there from 11:01 am - 2:59 pm as intimated. Making up the sofa bed would have been a nice touch, since that was specified on our rental notes. Instead I got to do that after inching my way up the driveway only to inch my way back down when the car didn't fit in the garage. The parking situation really negatively impacted my stay, but the cottage was cute.
Stayed here before staying in the adjacent property - in town to visit our new granddaughter and needed a comfortable convenient place. It was both those things and more.
Perfect for our visit! Comfortable, good location! Our SUV didnât fit in the garage but there was parking on the street nearby. Dog park, jogging trail, coffee shops, cafes all within walking distance.
Very cozy cottage oasis in the beautiful little town of silver lake. Bed was comfortable, nice vibe. We couldn't get in the garage but were able to find street parking. We'll be back!
We enjoyed our stay at this cute and cozy cottage. It was well equipped, and centrally located in a pleasant neighborhood that worked very well for the venue we were attending. We readily found great places to eat nearby. The bed was quite comfortable and we awakened well rested each day. We very much enjoyed the pretty and private back patio area which was a quiet oasis after a busy time in the city. We would definitely return here for future LA visits.
I loved how quiet it was. It's difficult to find rentals this peaceful. Parking in the garage was a challenge, but we managed to get in and out without incident. Just took some time and patience. Thank you for letting us visit your bungalow.
My husband and I decided to go to Los Angeles for a short vacation. I am so glad that we found this property to stay at. It is centrally located in a nice neighborhood. We were able to get $5 lyft rides to many destinations and walking distance to many great eating establishments. Gisele is accommodating and the coffee was a great surprise. We will definitely stay here again when in Los Angeles.
Spent two nights in the cottage very nice unit love the outdoor porch bed extremely comfortable kitchen nicely equipped good location close to restaurants in dodger Stadium The driveway is narrow and tight we decided not to try it and use the unrestricted street parking we found a place and just Uber around town all in all I would return
This is just as described on VRBO. Very cute and great, safe location. We loved walking to all of the local restaurants and shops. Great for dogs and small families!!
We loved this little cottage! It was perfect for the two of us--so cute! The outdoor patio space was delightful and we enjoyed morning coffee, afternoon wine, and meals there throughout our stay! We were five minutes away from our daughter and were able to enjoy so much of the neighborhood and Los Angeles. Thank you ,Gisele, for being a fantastic host and making our first VRBO stay so lovely!
It was just as advertised. We loved everything about it and if we are ever back in LA it will be the first place we look up and try and book it. The parking was described as tight and narrow so we drove our Honda civic instead of our Lia Sedona minivan. That was a good choice the van would not fit. The civic was about as big of a car that would fit. They did a great job describing that.
The property was as listed and then some. The furnishings were fun and functional. The bed was large and comfortable. We spent lots of time outside on the patio. Great neighborhood and perfect location for our purpose. We will e back.

Sweet hidden gem
We enjoyed our stay in the Ivy Covered Cottage. It had everything we needed and more. The king bed is super comfortable, and the outdoor seating area was an added plus.
We enjoyed walking around the reservoir, which is just up the street a bit. The owner is very thoughtful (thanks for the coffee!) and communicative. The only reason for 4 stars is that the parking is a bit challenging. The garage was too small for the Ford Fusion we rented, so we parked on the busy street. Not a big deal at all, but worth mentioning.
Secluded, quiet, cozy, great location......decor is eclectic, vintage, and charming...bed is very comfortable, kitchen is complete, felt like we were at home....patio, table and chairs, umbrella....flowers everywhere, including fresh flowers in every room...thank you....We LOVED it....
Check in was smooth. Kitchen well stocked. Clean, funky, quiet, and very private. The driveway is not for the faint of heart although on street parking is an option. We drive a Nissan Altima, probably the biggest size car that could utilize the garage and driveway. A concern that could be easily remedied is that the gate latch needs fixing, a potential issue for escape artist dogs. Lots of great places to go for dog walks, especially around Silver Lake. We really enjoyed our stay.
This cottage is literally 2 doors down from our daughter and son-in-law's apartment. Our 22-year old stayed with his sister in their 2-bedroom apartment while my husband and I stayed at this cottage. It was PERFECT for us. The location couldn't have been more convenient. Comfy bed and furniture. Cottage was clean and well kept. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely private patio out back with lots of greenery. The kids came over one afternoon and we enjoyed cocktails outside. Daughter was SO happy to find this place as they have family/friends who often visit. Their apt is small and only has 1 bathroom - 5 of us in there would've been too cramped. We would definitely stay at this cottage on a return trip to LA. We visited just before Christmas and there were cute holiday decorations around the house - nice touch!! Highly recommend this rental!
Hi Everyone! I am proud to say I was born and raised in this lovely city of Los Angeles. One of the few Natives you will meet. My husband and I love hosting and take pride in what we do. As a local real estate agent, this is right up my alley!
This is a great property because of its location as well as how cool it is! You can walk into the "village" area of Silver Lake on your way around the lake or to dog park. The other direction is Sunset Blvd. with all of its offerings. This is a great private house, with cafe lit courtyards. It is like a home away from home. Completely quiet and secluded.
