The Space:
An entrance area leads to a large kitchen/dining space with polished floorboards and eclectic artworks throughout. The kitchen features stunning orange tiling and comes equipped with a 900 mm Smeg oven, 6-burner gas cooktop, microwave, Fisher & Paykel double-drawer dishwasher, family-sized fridge, soda stream and a Nespresso coffee maker. A dining table seats 4 people (or more if needed). Thereâs also a Samsung front-loader washing machine and separate clothes dryer for your laundry needs. The apartmentâs two bedrooms have polished concrete floors and rugs for winter comfort, with the master bedroom offering a queen-sized bed, ceiling fan and electric heater, and the second bedroom coming with a double bed and portable fan. The bathroom has a roomy shower recess with a frameless glass screen and a separate floating bath. A flight of stairs takes you up to the lounge area which has a 2.5 seater sofa, occasional chair, smart TV and radiator heater. Thereâs also an office space/study area.
The Neighborhood:
Situated just 5 kilometres from Melbourneâs CBD (Downtown), Footscray is characterised by its diverse multiculturalism and cool vibe - Time Out magazine placed it 13th in its list of â50 Coolest Neighbourhoods in the Worldâ of 2019, and since the eclectic suburb has only improved with further gentrification. The warehouse apartment itself is well positioned, walking distance to eateries and the Footscray Community Arts Centre which is host to theatre performances, a bar, cafe and gallery spaces. Itâs a 5 minute drive to a Coles supermarket, while Footscray Market, offering a wide variety of fresh foods and other stalls, is a 7 minute drive (or 18 minutes on foot). Footscray Park is heritage listed as one of the most intact examples of an Edwardian designed park and only an 8 minute drive from the apartment. The Western Health Footscray Hospital and Western Private Hospital are both a 12 minute drive, as is Flemington Racecourse.
Getting Around:
The apartment comes with a dedicated parking spot. If you prefer public transport, nearby buses service the area, and Footscray train station is a 17 minute walk from the apartment.

* **Guest Verification:** For the security of our guests and property, you will be asked to complete a simple ID verification through our partner, Truvi, before we are able to provide you with your check in information. This helps us comply with local regulations and ensures a smooth check-in for you.
* **Noise and Smoking:** Please remember, due to strata and government regulations, we have a strict No Party and No Smoking policy for all our properties.
* **Check-in Process:** Our concierge will meet you upon arrival. As they do not live on-site, please let us know your arrival time well in advance. The concierge's details will be sent to you 2 to 3 days before your check in day provided your Truvi ID verification has been successfully completed. Note: a $40 fee applies for check-ins after 8 pm.
* **Long-Term Stays:** For bookings longer than one month, a mandatory full cleaning and linen change is scheduled every 4 weeks to keep the apartment fresh for your extended stay. This will be added to your total booking amount.
* This apartment is accessed via stairs and is therefore not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Whilst it is only one level up, being a warehouse conversion, the ceilings are high so there are three flights of stairs to apartment level. Definitely worth the climb:)
* Extra $40/night will be charged for guests after 4 or if the sofa bed needs to be prepared.
