This cabin was one of the best if not the best one we have stayed in Hocking Hills! The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the sitting room with couch and ottoman over the bridge was perfect for my 11 year old son. The lower area was nice with pool table and separate fridge for drinks. The kitchen was very nice and the open floor plan kept everyone engaged whether sitting on the couch watching football, doing crafts at the dining room table, or preparing a meal in the kitchen. Having a bathroom on all levels was a great touch and the fire pit was awesome and easily accessible through the lower level. The one minor complaint was the lack of lighting on the lower level and the upper bedroom.

We recently spent three nights at the Fire Fox cabin in Hocking Hills. Overall, we had a good experience—it was quiet, relaxing, and exactly the kind of getaway my wife and I were looking for.That said, there are a few issues that are hard to overlook. The TV in the main living area really needs to be replaced. The bedroom TV and the one on the deck were perfectly fine, which makes the poor quality of the main TV stand out even more—especially considering how affordable TVs are now.The hot tub also needs attention. About half of the jets don’t work, the control panel faceplate is damaged, and the headrests have been torn off and aren’t usable. I understand these get heavy use and maintenance isn’t simple, but it feels like these are things that should be addressed or replaced as part of regular upkeep.Another downside was the pool table setup. It likely needs to be rebalanced, which isn’t a huge deal, but all of the pool cues were in rough shape. Out of the six available, only one had a somewhat usable tip. This was disappointing since playing pool is one of the main things we enjoy on trips like this.In the end, we still had a nice time—we’re the type of people who can make the most of any situation. However, for the price, we’ve had better experiences at other cabins in the area, and we’ll likely explore other options next time.

We understand your comments regarding value and overall condition expectations, and we certainly never want guests to feel disappointed in any aspect of their stay. While some amenities do experience heavy guest usage over time, we agree these items needed attention and appreciate you pointing them out so they could be corrected promptly. It was very clean and a nice place for a weekend stay. Loved the location and saw many deer running around. Couple issues we had though.1. Downstairs had absolutely no heat and it was freezing. We had a space heater which worked in the bedroom down there but the rest of the basement stayed freezing. 2. Main bathroom had a horrible odor, got worse if you opened the cabinet under the sink which is where the towels were. We kept spraying febreeze over and over again to try to help but it would only last a couple mins.3. Not enough lighting in kitchen/dining room area.

Hot tub couldn’t be used, as it had too much chlorine and eyes were burning. Campfire was nice, but there were so many tiny bugs all over the chairs that you couldn’t sit down. Internet wasn’t strong and signal strength was sketchy. My granddaughter loved the cat walk above living area. The location was ideal and close to just about everything. Loved the big wraparound porch and hammock. Poor lighting in bathroom and shower areas. Did not use basement beds as it seemed pretty chilly there. Overall, it met our needs and the stay was comfortable.

The upstairs bedroom had no controller for the TVThe pool table does not return the ballsAlso, the lower level bedroom has 5 Great beds for kids however, there are not dressers or closets to store your stuff. Fox fire cabin

We all enjoyed staying at Fox Fire. Was nice and enjoyable to just sit outside around the campfire and enjoyed the hot tub as well. Would recommend to anyone one looking to get away from everything and just enjoy being with the family. Cabin was spacious and very nice.

The cabin is wonderful with quality throughout from the bathrooms, bedding, indoor and outdoor furniture, appliances to even the smallest detail like the hand soap. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and activities. The bar has been set high…now to see if it’s just as great the next stay!

Relaxing getaway

This property is very centrally located. Hiking trails were about 20 minutes away and we were also close to other activities and local shopping. The property was exactly what we were expecting and the amenities were really great to enjoy. We were able to have multiple campfires and enjoyed the hot tub. We would absolutely come back to this property again.

Awesome stay at Fox Fire!

The cabin was so nice, everyone loved it! It was clean and updated. The beds were comfortable and the location is perfect, 7-10 min to Old Man's cave and the local winery which is exactly what we wanted. I had a few questions before our stay and the folks at Edwards Realty were very responsive and helpful. Would absolutely recommend and book this cabin for myself again in the future!

A Gem in the Woods

Lovely home. Plenty of space for 5-6 adults. Was lacking in a few basic kitchen utensils. Management staff very attentive to requests.

Not bad

Overall good besides the TV on the deck is broken, the hot tub cover lift is installed wrong so it doesn't work, and the remote was dead in the main living area. Very nice and large space overall. Would stay again!

beautiful place to stay!

we really enjoyed this cabin. Everything was clean, and comfortable. I had read previous reviews that the couch was rundown. but they must have just gotten a brand new one, which was nice to see. very cozy on the comfortable leather couch by the fireplace. Also the location could not be better. five mins away from grocery stores, very close to awesome trails, and still feels secluded enough. thanks for the hospitality

Cabin is big and clean and in a nice secluded location!! Had the nicest weekend!!

We really enjoyed our long weekend at Foxfire. Three families, six adults and seven kids, and we all fit perfectly and never felt crowded. Cabin had everything we needed, plus a tv outside at the hot tub which is totally fun! We were in a great location for getting to the surrounding parks to go for hikes. The property has a nice fire pit area for the kids to run around and to build a fire, there's even a hammock, we lucked out with really delightful weather (in February??!!) so we were able to enjoy that as well. Overall a really swell cabin. Hope to return again next year!!

Molly and Guests, We are so happy to hear about the great weekend you had at Foxfire!!! The hammock, fire pit, hot tub, outdoor tv, seasoal shower, wrap around patio, porch swing and propane grill provide a variety of outdoor offerings for guests to use during their stay. We are right in the middle of area activities including Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave~ plus, we even offer on-site hiking trails for guests to explore during their stay. Great house for a hiking weekend!

This place was good. A couple of things would make it great. We loved the huge hot tub and the firepit. But didn’t like drinking wine out of Ball jar glasses. Good grill but no steak knives. Upstairs bedroom has a king bed and great bathroom but no closet or dresser to put clothes in. One bedroom on the main floor appeared to have mouse droppings in the corner of the closet.

Diana and Guests! Thank you for the feedback and your suggestions on the cabin. The hot tub and fire pits are perfect spots for guests to unwind. We do have wine glasses and steak knives in the cabin for guests and apologize you were not able to locate them during your stay. We have asked housekeeping to add a few more of each to ensure guests find them easily in the future. The master bedroom and en suite bath are amazing and cozy! Although the unique shape of the room does not allow for a closet space or a dresser, we do provide luggage racks, an ottoman and chaise for guests to use in the room. We do have our cabins treated regularly and are sorry to hear you noted possible mouse droppings in the closet. Housekeeping didn't have any calls noted from your group's stay. We strongly encourage guests to contact housekeeping/maintenance for any concerns at the cabin upon check in or during your stay as we want our guests to have positive experiences at our cabins. HHCR

Great location and on site property

The place was nice and the location is really good for what we wanted to do! Lots of room and accessible to a lot of different options. The downer was the jacuzzi and the pool table, 2 things we wanted to take advantage of while there. The jacuzzi is old and the jets only worked 1 of the 4 seats. The pool sticks were all old and had no tips so you couldn’t even hit the balls. Bummer!

We loved the Fox Fire cabin!

My husband and I stayed here with our three kids and had a blast! The cabin was clean and exactly as described. There was a rainstorm one day and power went out. I notified the property manger and they promptly called the electric company and called me back with an update! It’s close to Hocking Hills and town (in case you forget to pack something like I did!) The only small issue we had was the first night we picked up take and bake pizza for dinner, but there weren’t any sheet pans or pizza pans to cook it on. We made it work though! Definitely plan to stay again sometime!
