Skull Rock is an iconic formation resembling a skull, easily accessible for exploration. Pioneertown, a charming Old West-style town, offers a glimpse into the past with its wooden storefronts and saloons.
Please contact us if you have any questions about the home or the area in general. We hope to welcome you soon!
Guest Access:
You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Only registered guests are allowed, unless specifically agreed upon during the booking process. 2 extra day guests may be approved, but the county restricts occupancy to 4 after 8pm. Any unannounced guests will be asked to leave and the reservation may be canceled at will. We do have a security camera fixed on the driveway of the property to monitor the number of people arriving.
While we encourage taking walks on this property and in the National Park, please do not wander into our neighbor's backyards in the surrounding area as you will be trespassing on private property.
Also note, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO USE OF OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLES (OHV) IN THIS AREA.
The Neighborhood:
Monument Manor is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Joshua Tree area given its immediate proximity to the park and breathtaking vistas of the areaâs signature Craggy Mountains and desert plants.
When youâre ready for some outdoor adventure, Joshua Tree National Parkâs West Entrance is just 2 minutes away by car.
Searching for great eats, drinks, shops, and things to do? Here are a few recommendations in Joshua Tree Village, a 5-minute drive away:
âą Start your day at Joshua Tree Coffee Co., known for their famed coffee made from locally roasted beans
âą Marvel at the handiwork at the World Famous Crochet Museum
âą Pick up some lunch or a souvenir from the Joshua Tree Certified Farmers' Market, open Saturdays
âą Perhaps close your day with the food, drinks and music offered at the rustic Joshua Tree Saloon
Up for a day trip? Donât miss these area highlights - theyâre worth the drive.
âą Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (15-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art.
âą Pioneertown (20-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harrietâs, a notable restaurant and venue.
âą The Integratron (25-minute drive) - New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.
âą Palm Springs (45-minute drive) - Artsy town known for vintage shopping, art galleries, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
