An ideal vacation for 6 people or less over 25 years old to “unplug” and get away from fast-paced living.

A beautiful, private retreat blended nicely into the natural surroundings. The photos do not do justice to the location and the view from this property. The house is perched on the hillside with sweeping views of the surrounding area. The large windows fill the house with natural light. Convenient to both the North and West entrances to Joshua Tree NP. Hard to imagine a better lodging experience in this area.

My family are blown away with the structural design of this home built upon the mountain slopes. We will cherish this weekend for years to come. My wife adored the massive California bath and shower. The Fourty Nine trails hike is a must to appreciate the artistry reflected in the natural lodging architecture achievements.

Had a lovely stay with my wife. The home has a great view and is very private on a hillside. A large great room and bedrooms. The outdoor area very nice to lounge in by the pool. The weather was not very hot and the pool was pretty cold because it is unheated. We would happily come stay here again.

One of the best vacations we’ve had. The place is quiet, peaceful, and the ideal spot for relaxing. It has everything you might need. The amenities are amazing. The pool was perfect during the hot days (and the AC worked well too). The hot tub was ideal at sunset and beyond. The floor to ceiling windows showing the city lights at night and beautiful desert views during the day were amazing. The bedrooms were big and bathrooms had everything you need. All around it was ideal.

Wonderful Place to Stay

We had a wonderful time relaxing by the pull and enjoying the wonderful view. It was very nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The house was beautiful and the location was quiet and secluded. It was a perfect vacation spot for a small family looking to get away!

This location was perfect for our visit to Joshua Tree NP - the best view in Twentynine Palms and so close to the 49 Palms Trailhead. We were here over Thanksgiving and so the hot tub and wood burning fire were appreciated.

Holiday Vacation to Joshua Tree

Jenny was a wonderful host! We had flight issues and were concerned about arriving really late on Christmas Eve and not having the opportunity to get to the store before they were closed for the Holiday. She kindly grabbed a few things for us which was so wonderful. The check in process was so easy, house was just as the pictures depicted and we had the best time. Such easy access to Joshua Tree NP and yet feels very secluded. Excellent experience and kids already want to come back! Thank you!!

Perfect Desert Oasis

We were going on a mini vacation in the desert and were looking for a great home that would have a beautiful view, big windows and a pool. This house had it all! We really enjoyed our stay and were so sad to leave. Jenny is wonderful and very communicative. If we come back to the area, we would love to stay in this home again! It was so much fun.

Amazing Anniversary Weekend

If you're looking for remote and private, this is the place. The morning sunrise lights up the house with amazing views of the desert. The host was very responsive and getting in and out was a breeze. Everything was clean, functional, and in good working order. We will book with Jenny again. Bring your pool floaties, cocktails, and relax in the sun for a quiet remote getaway!

Desert hideaway

Our stay was all we hoped it would be, and more. The house itself is beautiful, but the reason to rent this property is the location: embedded into the hills separating 29 Palms from the national park. The view is spectacular, and the house is isolated from its neighbors, giving guests the feeling of complete privacy. I chose this property so my family could celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. I wanted to splurge a little, and provide her with something unique. Mission accomplished! One thing to note (and to be honest it's something I should have anticipated): if you bring a pet to the location, keep in mind that this property is likely to have coyotes wandering nearby. My daughter's little dog got a bit freaked out when we tried to walk her near the house at night. We were able to work around this easily enough by trying to do our walks during the day, and venturing closer to town for evening walks. This is not a complaint, it's simply something that goes with the property's wild and beautiful location. Last but not least: the property's host is terrific. She's available when you need her, and her rules are minimal. She also decorated the place with lovely Happy Birthday banners and balloons! This place is highly recommended if you're looking for something special.

Surprised to find out the property is pet-friendly. I wouldn’t have known, which is fantastic. It’s a great place with a lot of personality. Definitely one of my favorite houses I’ve ever stayed. Awesome location if you’re hiking in Joshua Tree - about 10-15 minutes from the west entrance and 5-10 from the north entrance. It has a super nice fireplace, which we didn’t use (we were in the hot tub) but appreciated nevertheless.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our home is made out of lava rocks, with the border of Joshua Tree National Park as your backyard, and panoramic views of the city from the front yard. The house has a large open entertainment-friendly layout downstairs with expansive windows to take in the views from all directions and two large bedrooms upstairs with ensuite bathrooms. The house sits high on a mountain side with plenty of privacy, peace, and quiet. The neighborhood is quiet and sparse to take in the raw desert views. It isn't uncommon to hear coyotes howling and see quail and roadrunners scurrying about. The houses in the area are mostly one house per 5 acres.

The uniqueness of this property is its location! It is surrounded by Joshua Tree National Park on 3 sides and it overlooks the city. It is high on a mountainside and it would be hard to replicate a property in 29 Palms or Joshua Tree that sits this high on a mountainside. It is also surrounded by lava rock and pink marble throughout the main level downstairs with floor to ceiling windows to showcase the view.
