historic Hamelin Bay this 3 bedroom cottage offers fabulous 180 degree views across the Cape Leeuwin – Naturaliste
National Park, adjacent picturesque farmland, Hamelin Bay and the Indian Ocean beyond.
It is a sensational base to hideaway from the frantic pace of everyday life or venture forth to enjoy some of the region’s best fishing, surfing, snorkelling and boating activities. Why not taste some of Australia’s finest wines in the Margaret River wine region or be inspired by the grandeur of the ancient Boranup Forest and its Karri tree giants. Wonder at the exquisite crystals and colours of local limestone caves, enjoy watching the local sting rays of Hamelin Bay or enjoy one of the many fine galleries across the region. If you can pull yourself away from lazy days on the cottage deck being delighted by local birdlife, searching for whale spouts with the cottage telescope, or taking advantage of the zero light pollution to gaze at the incredible night’s sky, you will find many of the Southwest’s wonderful attractions only a short drive away.
The Space -
The cottage offers 9 acres of seclusion and stunning views along with 3 guest bedrooms (sleeping arrangements for a maximum of 6 guests in multiple configurations) and a single bathroom with separate toilet.
Those fortunate to occupy the master bedroom will enjoy French doors directly to the cottage deck and wonderful views across the National Park and to the Indian ocean from the king-sized bed. A fully equipped and delightful character kitchen and dining room is complemented by a wood-fired heater for cozy winter days and nights spending quality time with your family and friends.
The lounge room features high quality furnishings and plenty of space to take in the views, along with the sunroom that has recently been furnished with a queen bed to allow extra sleeping configurations and ensure both adults and children have their own space. At the rear of the cottage is located a covered outdoor BBQ area overlooking north facing gardens to ensure an outdoor option when weather conditions are not favourable.
There is Satellite NBN internet at the house, however the package is not unlimited due to the services offered in the 'remote location' of the cottage. We do not list the house as having internet as a feature as there may be limitations on data availability and slow internet speeds during your stay.
We hope that you enjoy the privacy and seclusion that the location of our cottage affords and perhaps take an opportunity to “disconnect” from the day to day.
Equipped with all of the modern conveniences of reverse cycle A/C, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fridge and freezer, appliances and lockable safe, the “Hamelin Bay Vista” cottage will make your stay comfortable whether it is a quick weekend away or a longer retreat to enjoy time together over the school holidays.
