Our extended stay

Nice new clean unit. Perhaps a little tight in the bedroom if you are of larger stature and staying for an extended period of time.Great host with very prompt responses.Host Bought a couple more kitchen supplies when I inquired if they were there.

LoriJean's Sanctuary

Our host LoriJean was absolutely awesome & we appreciated the sanctuary she provided us during our stay. My daughter & I had a home base there & it felt like a small piece of heaven for us. It was the first time I had stayed at a Vrbo so was uncertain what to expect, LoriJean put us at ease immediately. I would gladly stay there again!

Sooke pet friendly suite

We have stayed here before. Lori is a wonderful host. For pet lovers this is a great place to stay as this suite is pet friendly. Little walks close at hand. Thanks Sue

Great place to stay in Sooke

The suite was perfect for my wife and I and our small dog. Newer building with a well stocked kitchen. Tv and internet setup was good. I would recommend Lori’s place!

Great location! Great host!

The area was perfect. The host had a book of local attractions, Whiffin Spit and Ayland Farm were two we went to. So glad we did. Never heard nor saw anyone else at the property, but the host was very open to calls or texts. A wonderful time by both myself and my partner and our puppies.

Super suite!

Lori was very helpful and accommodating! She helped me find great places for take out as well as giving me a ride into town. The suite was well stocked and perfect for a couples getaway or just a solo retreat.

Good for short stay

The facilities were very good and well situated for exploring the Sooke region However, there were three things one should be aware, of from our point of view. Firstly, there is only a window in the bedroom. For the living area, where you spend most of your time, you have the lights on all the time. It was a strange feeling to know it was still daylight outside, but not being aware of it. Secondly, the outdoor seating is just two chairs and a little table by our host's front door, looking at the street of the residential area with a little view of the Olympic Peninsula. Not a place to sit for long. Thirdly, the parking spot is on a steep slope, so very awkward to get in and out of the car. We ended up parking on the street where it was somewhat level. That said, the suite was excellent and our hostess was very welcoming and helpful.

Mini vacay in sooke

A very clean property and super easy check-in and check-out. Would definitely return to this place again. Sooke is such a beautiful town and close to lots of hiking and beaches.

Modern and comfortable suite

Overall, nice place to stay. The property has all necessary amenities. It was clean, and we like it design wise. Check-in and check-out time are convenient. Good advice on places to visit. A little bit tight around the bed in the bedroom. The switch for one of the lamps was not working in the bedroom. Steep driveway. Note that owners have a dog which could be a problem with people with allergies.

Lori was great!

My parents came for Christmas and stayed in Lori's suite. The location was perfect as it was close to my place in Sooke. The suite had everything my parents needed during the stay. Lori was great to communicate with, fast on responses and accommodating. My dad has mobility issues and due to the steep incline of the driveway we had some difficulities getting him in and out of the vehicles. All in all, it was perfect!

Hi! I am a semi -retired nature loving woman who loves the daily magic that living in Sooke and being on the Island offers! I was a h.s. teacher for 25 years while raising my kids and for the last decade have enjoyed being a multipreneur which offers time freedom. My 2 elderly rescue Shelties and l love going for endless hikes, walks and beach time. My home is in such a safe, friendly neighbourhood! To me, health, joy and family are my core values and living in Sooke really offers me the priceless gift of all three. I love to share this relaxed, healthy pace of life with my Suite offerring. Whether it is to escape the long cold winter (I lived in Ottawa until a few years ago!), to visit this Island paradise (the tree buds are already out at the end of January), to remote work having nature right outside your door, my Suite offers it all to you! Honour your best self and come enjoy The Sanctuary Suite that is pet friendly and accessibility friendly (the driveway is on an angle, but the walkway and Suite are totally accessible. )
