Hidden Pond Gong Suite - Luxury , Pet Friendly, with Hot Tub and Private Beach

Located in Metchosin, just 30 minutes to Victoria or Sooke. Hidden Pond's luxury Gong Suite is the perfect romantic or family getaway for anyone looking for peace and tranquility. Spacious, two rooms with private entrance, basic kitchen facilities, luxury king bed, sofa bed, tastefully furnished with two sitting areas overlooking an amazing forest view makes this perfect for a couple or family. The suite includes the use of a hot tub, firepit, and just a short walk to our private beach, spring-fed swimming pond, orchard, and forest trails. The suite has a full-size bathroom with tub and shower, Air conditioning, Internet, TV, and basic kitchen (BQ with side-burner, kettle, coffee maker, breakfast grill, toaster oven, microwave, full-size fridge, sink and basic and spices and kitchen supplies. ) Pet-friendly and short and long stay rates are available.

Please note this suite has stairs and it is a walk down to the pond , so this might not be a great option for anyone who has mobility issues.

We loved everything at the Hidden Pond! Perfect for our family of 4 with our pups! So dog friendly, we loved hiking through the 10 acres! Can’t wait to come back this summer to swim in the pond. Host was extremely responsive and what a wonderful clean beautiful spot both inside and out.

Amazing and restful stay

Suite was even better than described. The grounds were so beautiful - lots of space to spread out and congregate outdoors. There is another suite onsite in addition to the owners’ house but you can be in separate areas if you want privacy. The flowers were beautiful down by the pond and we saw lots of wildlife. The pond and grounds were so relaxing, I wish we could have stayed longer. We would absolutely love to come back and stay longer next time.

What else to say that other reviews haven’t already. The location is fantastic and serene. We stayed in the gong suite and the decor is just perfect. The hot tub and pool are so welcoming and as is Jo-Ann! We will certainly come back!

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay

Our suite was very large, with all the amenities we could need. There were nice little touches such as cookies and muffins left for us. The location was great for what we were looking for- lots of trails and beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

Own private beach and swimming area

It was a wonderful place to be. It was quiet and peaceful.we made use of everything we could while we were there. Fires, hot tub and the pond were all out favourite.the host is very friendly and rob will not hesitate to help you find some things to do while you are there! We had numerous great recommendations that ended up replacing our original plans and we did not end up disappointed!

Located in a very quiet and peaceful part of Metchosin. Close to beaches and shopping. Place was well equipped with extra treats to enjoy. Bed comfortable. Hosts extremely helpful. Hot tub was a nice treat. Highly recommend.

Hidden Pond is a Hidden Gem. Warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. Exquisite, well maintained ,beautiful property. Ferns, flowers and lily pads adorn the private pond. We spent many days enjoying the private grounds. A little piece of tranquil paradise, just 10 minutes from anything you may need. White glove clean suite has a lovely eclectic feel, right down to the "gong". We are planning our next stay already.. Thanks JoAnn and Rob for a fabulous holiday.

Absolutely magical property - I would give it more than 5* if I could for the environment! The hidden pond really is beautiful and our golden retriever loved to swim in it. If we had been there for rest and relaxation, I would have enjoyed just sitting by the pond with a book. The Gong Suite was just fine - comfortable bed and couches. Jo-Ann was a great host and she left delicious muffins, cookies in the kitchen, and soda in the fridge. But - I had to mark it down a star for the kitchen amenities. It would be just fine if you expect to eat out (or bring in take out) each night but even though the promotion says "basic kitchen" I had expected that there would be room for food preparation and sufficient dishes (a pot, large bowl, etc) to use the BBQ side-burner, breakfast grill or even the toaster oven). BUT - for those who don't need/want to cook much - it really is a magnificent location and very comfortable.

This is one of the best places we've ever stayed. The forest walk, the view of the forest from the comfortable and elegant living/bedroom, the many thoughtful amenities, the art, and the kindness of the hosts are unsurpassed.

Hi, we are Rob and Jo-Ann Kevala. We are both semi-retired now and enjoy life on this amazing 10 acre property. Never a shortage of gardening! We love dogs and have two of our own on the property. We welcome visitors with their own pets. Our goal in opening Hidden Pond was to share this amazing property with other amazing people and provide a luxury option for people who want to travel with their own pets.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Hidden Pond became a reality in 2020. As we began to develop our property and build trails through the forest we found an amazing spring-fed pond hidden in the woods. Alot of landscaping and a year of work we spent reclaiming this pond from the wild. Today it is the home of a private beach, pergola and where we spend our summer and winter months

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Hidden Pond is a unique retreat. Often people come planning to visit Victoria and Metchosin, then find the pond and don't leave the property for their stay. Whether you choose to relax in the hot tub, sit on the beach, wander the forest trails on the property, play with your pet in the orchard or warm your toes at the firepit in the evenings you won't find a more relaxing getaway.
