• Old San Juan

• El Yunque Rain Forest (there are also some fun activities if you’re up to it - zip lining, Las Pailas rock sliding)
• Hacienda Carabali (has mild horseback riding trails, ATV, and go-karts) it is located on the outskirts of El Yunque Rain Forest.
• Take a day trip on a Catamaran from Fajardo
• Kayak at night the Bio Bay in Fajardo
• Visit the Caverns and Caves in Camuy
• Arecibo Observatory
• Ponce is a nice city and has a few interesting things to see (art museum, Taino Indian burial, fire house etc.)
• Somewhat near Ponce - Gilligan's Island (beautiful crystal blue waters)
• If you eat pork, visit Guavate (right next to Cayey)- La Ruta del Puerco. Delicious!

Need more cleaning products

With 2 small children we can get messy and sticky. We had to call for cleaning supplies. There were no kitchen towels. We like to keep the home we are staying in very clean. We also cook a lot.

Not worth price

Although the landscape is very nicely kept it's not worth staying in palmas. In the pictures it living room looks huge t's not . There were few items that for the amount paid i expected everything to be great. The TV set up was so complicated never got to see tv in the one tv in the place. No bulbs in the lights master bedroom. The closet no night and the wooden door broken on side closet. Microwave wast working well. Toilet got backed up 3 times in 5 days dont flush toilet paper. There no beach there to swim so you have to drive 49 min. They dont have anything for guest like other rentals have towels chairs umbrellas. They really need to step their game up. Kristian does respond but i shouldnt have to reach out everyday or so because there is something wrong. Ac worked great. The security guards sre ama4helps us a lot. I expected more than i got which sucks. Your better off staying in isla verde.

Beautiful but filthy

When we initially walked into the home we were happy with the decor. As we walked through the apartment the issues began to pile up. First one of the guest bedrooms light/fan controller was broken. Then we walked into the master bathroom where the musty smell of mold was thick. The floor of the shower was covered in black mold. And worse, under the sink in the master bathroom cabinet was completely covered in black mold. The drain stopper for the sink was leaking so many guests must have used the bathroom sink which caused water to pool inside the sink cabinet. A crew came in to clean the bathroom shower and some of the surfaces but the musty smell was still there during our stay. (There’s likely mold behind the cabinet and all along the flooring the cabinet sits upon) Every surface in the apartment was dirty. The sink handles in the bathroom and kitchen were covered in residue. Most glass and chrome finishing has fingerprints. Not cleaning the home thoroughly between each guest during a pandemic is incredibly irresponsible. The Android TV box didn’t work and was missing a remote. So we could not watch anything other than a few live channels. Only reason we’re leaving 2 stars instead of 1 is because they were quick to respond. The guard was friendly and helpful but they won’t do repairs unless you are presently in the unit. We had activities planned with our family so they weren’t able to address all of the issues with the apartment during our stay. I could have overlooked the other issues but the mold + dirty surfaces is unacceptable especially during the current global climate.
