It is well care for, it really translates the love the owners have for their place. Looking forward to many more visits to these property. So much peace coming in, every one I run into (Staff) pleasant and friendly
Very fun place - a studio in a barn. Cozy, comfortable, well-equipped, lovely landscaping, quiet, with an adorable small pony. And, dog-friendly too. Perfect for my short stay on Vashon.
The property is tranquil, beautifully tamed wilderness. I saw deer, a bald eagle, a piliated woodpecker, and a squirl. The beach was so privat and tranquil. I will deffinately be back
Comfortable studio nicely arranged, feels spacious not cramped. Technically it's on Maury Is, but you're not far from anywhere on Vashon. I'd gladly stay here again and will recommend the studio to friends.
This was meant to be a relaxing weekend getaway from Seattle. All I've been dealing with since our trip for the past week is mismanagement by the property owner Lisa. It started with a message from VRBO as soon as I got home on Sep 1st charging us 500 for "dog clawed fridge, chewed 2 chairs, rug, pee floor". We didn't even bring our dog. She just assumed since I'd check "yes" on the pet option that I'd brought mine. And, then she assumed that we'd caused the damage. Which we didn't
Lovely property! Check-in couldnât be easier. You have a great kitchen to work with if youâre on a budget and need to cook. Wi-Fi is occasionally spotty but otherwise fine (youâre on an island after all!). Riding the ferry to and from the island is also really fun, especially for children. When you arrive her directions are very clear on what entrance to take and how to get to your stay. In my opinion the bed is comfortable and I slept great. If you have a third guest with you like a child, youâll want to set up a comfortable place to sleep, this place is meant for 2 people. Lastly, you may see a spider or two coming out to say hi!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The studio is cozy and it's fun having horses for neigh-bors.
We loved walking through the woods to a very private beach and enjoyed the many birds, including a huge bald eagle and herons.
Surrounding acreage was beautiful as was the entire island. Hosts were accommodating if somewhat Iâll-prepared (unit was not cleaned, bed not made, lock code wouldnât work).
It was such a delightful spot - All I needed for a weekend away in nature. It offered access to a private trail to the beach, which my pup and I took a couple times each day. The studio was clean, very comfortable, and relaxing, with birds, a horse, and a pony right outside the window. Thank you! I hope to be back.
This cozy studio is on gorgeous property. Two feeders outside the windows attracted more kinds of birds than we ever spot in the city. Our dog saw her first horses and seemed to be impressed. The beach was a short walk away, and the views across the water to Mt. Rainier were exceptional. We loved the quiet at the studio and the easy access to interesting parks and wonderful views.
We specifically chose this property to spend a special weekend with our dog of nearly 14 years. The description was spot on! We relaxed, visited the beach, hung out with the horses! Who could ask for more. Very charming, easy to access and meeting Lisa was perfect. Would highly recommend. Btw, her communication was spot on.
My husband and I had a delightful surprise when we rounded the corner and encountered a large two-story barn with a beautiful white horse and mini pony waiting for us. Our one-night stay was enhanced by the wonderful old west antiques inside and pot belly stove with wood waiting to be lit. The bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped, and shower nice and warm. We highly recommend the Wildwood studio for its charm and comfort. Jan and Bill
The southern exposure with 1000' of waterfront, large pond, and 40 acres of land was purchased by our family in the the mid-1980s. The property is home to deer, eagles, otter, numerous species of birds and waterfowl. We have carefully preserved the native landscape and love sharing this gorgeous place with the visitors we host. Our horses graze in the pasture, and we ride through the trails and on the beach. Horses graze in the pasture right outside the studio. Free range chickens and ducks roam about.
There are walking trails, a gorgeous private beach, and a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier from the bluff, a short walk from the studio. The property is very private and quiet, and the beach is fabulous. It is a 7 minute walk to the lighthouse at Pt. Robinson. The Maury Island Marine Park is about 20 minutes to the west along the pristine, relatively deserted beach. You can walk the trails on the property, walk a few minutes to the beach, and enjoy a peaceful, quiet setting that is only a 20 minute ferry ride away from Seattle, Tacoma, or the Olympic Peninsula.
