Walking Distance to the town of Vashon, fireplace, patio, bbq...

This beautiful, recently renovated second story studio apartment is fully furnished with everything you need for a relaxing stay: a large outdoor deck with propane barbecue, a propane fireplace, full kitchen, bathroom with shower, and lots of windows overlooking the field and its visiting deer. It is walking/biking distance to Island Center Forest, the town of Vashon, O-Space, Vashon Center for the Arts, and is 10 minutes from several beaches. Your dog is welcome with an additional deep cleaning fee. (We don't host cats due to allergies.) there is a queen bed and a small 3 cushion sofa (see photos) that works for a child.

Vashon Island is accessed by a 20 minute ferry ride from the Fauntleroy ferry terminal in West Seattle (Not the ferry from downtown Seattle! ), Tacoma and Southworth. Schedule and fare information is available at Washington State Ferries on line. Weekday mornings and evenings there is King County Water Taxi service directly to downtown Seattle. This cute studio is on the main Metro Transit 118/119 bus line. It is a 7 mile or so bike ride from the ferry terminal, or you can put your bikes on the Metro bus. Vashon Shuttle Service will pick people up and deliver them to Sea-Tac Airport. The ferry terminal is about 20 minutes from Sea-Tac airport. It is 10 minutes drive to the apartment from the Vashon ferry dock. Uber and Lyft and taxis DO NOT OPERATE on the island. Vashon Rides or Vashon Shuttle Service are sometimes available by reservation.

We enjoyed the ability to walk to town, the central location, and the amenities like the deck umbrella for shade on a hot evening. We appreciated the air conditioning unit as well. It was fun to watch the deer in the meadow!

Fantastic stay in cozy studio

We came to the property for my baby moon- it was a lovely overnight trip to Vashon Island and it was such a blessing to stay in this studio! We brought my pup so I am glad we found such a cute space that allowed him. Loved the natural lighting, the bed was super comfy, and the hosts of the property allowed me to take the lilacs in the space home which really made me so happy! We would stay here again

The exterior is shoddy, there is an active construction office downstairs, and an industrial lot out back. There are better places to stay on Vashon.

Cozy and Comfortable

The property was very clean and had a comfortable bed. The kitchen is well-stocked and has everything needed for preparing meals. The location was quiet yet convenient to the downtown area and close to restaurants and shopping. Guests need to be aware that the Google map instructions are not accurate, as they instruct you to enter a drive south of the property, but our host quickly answered our message and directed us to the right location.

Cute and clean with all you could need

This is a cute upstairs bnb. Its kitchen was well equipped. Bed was comfortable. The property manager is super nice and friendly. Bring an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light in the morning. It has curtains but they let most of the light through. Super convenient location to get to the downtown. Definitely a great stay!

Clean and well supplied. Close to shopping and eateries. Comfy bed and couch. Delightful bird feeder outside the window! Only negative (for me, a light sleeper) is that there is one other rental on the property so I could hear a going by at night since it is a gravel driveway. Otherwise it would be five star all around!

Center of It All!

This studio is SO conveniently located in the center of all there is to do on Vashon. We hiked with forest with the dogs, cooked dinner in the studio, then enjoyed the arts! Lisa was quick to respond and solve a minor issue with the propane fireplace. We had a great one night getaway and hope to do it again soon!

One night stay

Location is great. Perfect for downtown and strawberry festival access. Stairwell to the unit not easy if older or any physical issues. Some traffic noise so if sensitive to that just be aware. Lisa was great to work with and accommodated an early arrival time.

clean but no real hot tub

The place is clean and cozy but very small and there is not a real hot tub.The couch isn't a couch you can sleep on. We slept 3 sideways on the queen bed, not ideal. But they let us in early and it was very clean and very close to everything so we enjoyed our stay.

Please read the listing carefully before booking. The couch is only for a small child. It does not work for an adult. There is a queen bed only. I also don't know where they're getting the idea that there's a hot tub? It is not advertised that way, and I cannot tell anywhere in the listing where it says that. I will investigate… There is no hot tub.

Good location, fully equipped clean unit and excellent warm bedding. Kitchen, living and sleeping areas were great. But, blinds to cover double glass sliding door to balcony were stuck in fully raised position (no privacy). Called 24/7 contact numbers; no answer, left message and my call back number - no return call. Tiny 1 person bathroom with tiny corner shower was smaller than expected but functional. Would rate 4 stars if not for privacy issue.

The interior has some nice details and is tastefully remodeled. Unfortunately the exterior of property is not very inviting, junky, unkept. My code did not work to open the door. Had to call for help. Unfortunately, There was a significant bad odor in the unit and we were forced to call a maintenance person at 11 pm to be sure it was safe . It turned out to be a a sewer issue in the storage area below the unit. We had to sleep with doors and windows open due to the smell. The owner was very responsive to our calls and we appreciated that, however, I would never stay here again.

This was the second time of renting from Lisa and just keeps getting better! This time, there was a communications glitch…not Lisa’s fault…and the place I originally rented was not ready for us, so I contacted Lisa and she PROMPTLY took care of us and we ended up in another lovely rental that was even sweeter than the one we had paid for!! She really took care of us and even dropped by a sweet little gift for us during our stay. Any time I reach out to her, she responds quickly and with such sweet energy❤️❤️ I would not hesitate to rent from her again…..and can’t recommend her highly enough!!

The property was a strawberry farm until the late 1970's and the studio is in what used to be a farm building. The main house was built around 1890. I bought the property in 1995.
