Great hosts and location. Boating access to Grand River, Spring Lake and Lake Michigan. Lots of activities close by for anyone looking to explore the area.
Our host was super communicative and gave a us a ton of amazing recommendations. The location is close to everything and was relaxing and clean. Would highly recommend!
Nice quiet neighborhood across the street from lake. We biked into Grand Haven and around the area. Owners live across the street and were super nice and easygoing, great communication.
This Spring Lake cottage was the perfect location for two life-long friends to enjoy several day trips around the area. We enjoyed being minutes from Grand Haven, a quick drive to Lake Michigan Beach at Muskegon State Park, and great hiking trails at the North Ottawa Dunes. The cottage was cozy, clean, and comfortable! I'd recommend it to friends and would certainly book this retreat again myself!
This adorable house was a great find. Less than a block from Spring Lake & not more than 12 min from everything you can do in Grand Haven& Spring Lake. The cottage was exceptionally clean, cute design, comfortable beds and nice living area. Lora & Craig were great hosts. Even letting my mom & I sit at their dock by the lake. Highly recommend this cute cottage for your next getaway!
Every year for my sons bday we to go on a mini vacation to a different town in Michigan, and this year it was grand haven. The house was very charming, clean and welcoming.
We had a fantastic experience! The place was clean and tidy. Communication with the host was easy and they were super helpful. Loved the location- we will definitely be back!
Great communication from Lara and we felt very welcome, the cottage is well maintained and the flowers around the house were beautiful! The kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed. The house is quiet and the neighborhood is safe and the room-darkening blinds are a plus.
The house was super cute and right on the marina. Lora greeted me when I arrived. It was so cute that I wasn't sure it was the right place!! I was there for work but the location was perfect. I like to run and it was a nice area to get my morning run in before I went to work. I would defintely recommend this place to anyone interested in staying in the area.
Had a lovely stay in the cottage. The photos don't do it justice! It's a lovely space with everything provided for a visit to the area. The town of Grand Haven is just down the road, a quick 5 minute drive.
Grateful to have found an opening at the last minute for three days of biking, beaching, and thrifting -- great trails, PJ Hoffmaster and Grand Haven perfect for sunsets; great food in Spring Lake (Village Baker) and Ferrysburg (Pine St Cafe), easy access to Whitehall/Muskegon to the north and Holland to the south as well as the Musketawa Trail to the east. The property was wonderful - beautifully quiet neighborhood and a public access bench to sip morning coffee down at Spring Lake. Host communication was so kind and helpful! Hope to be back again sometime!
We love this house. The location is awesome. The neighborhood is great with a party store and a great park within walking distance. House was perfectly clean. We can't wait to go back.
This was our first trip up to Michigan for a summer vacation. Our boys had a wonderful time in large part to this great cottage with a family friendly back yard and great location! Could not recommend the area or this place more. Hosts were responsive and provided a great experience!
The cottage was perfect for a girls weekend with 2 adults and 2 kids. Great neighborhood for walking, close to kayaking, beaches, restaurants, lighthouses and great downtown shopping in Grand Haven and Muskegon. It was great to meet Lora and very appreciative for the Michigan wine!
Property is exactly how the pictures show it. Very clean. We had everything we needed for our stay. Short drive into Grand Haven. We would definitely go back! Thanks for a great weekend!
First off, I love the location and amenities of the property. We have been coming to grand haven for years but this was our first time staying in spring lake, and we will again. Very quiet neighborhood. The house was as advertised. Our only complaint was that the house had a really strong musty/ammonia smell when we first arrived. We opened the windows and let it air out but it never fully went away. We ended up leaving earlier than expected due to this. Otherwise we had a great stay.
Loved the wine, missed her cookies...just kidding. Hostess stopped by to check up on my "crock pot" question/situation...
which I thought was very thoughtful. Beds are very comfortable.Very pretty place & quiet area. Pleasant walking in the neighborhood- along the water & public bench is a plus... we always take a seat here to enjoy the water. Lora puts much love & care into this place. Though I do get concerned for all these wonderful hostsess- like Lora - & a "not so upto par"... hired cleaning services out there. I took few pictures, but picts dont show the true reality of findings. I kinda feel protective of Lora because she is so kind, thoughtful, prompt & really has a wonderful home here. But an undesirable cleaning service... is a negative. I know bc I rely on them to do a good job on properties my boss ownes & I help with cleaning. Can't assume the contracted cleaning service is performing sufficiently. The service
must periodically be checked on. And yes, we would stay again. May want to re think the guest policy- cleaning/putting away of dishes etc policy at end of stay. This visit.. we found several food soiled utensils & other dirty kitchenware prior to using. We are known to be pretty laid back -down to earth - work hard for our earned dollar kinda ppl.
