The condo was quite nice and clean, with a beautiful, large patio with an amazing view of the beach, ocean and sunset. The condo is on the north side of the beach, which is very nice and quiet, but a bit of a lengthy walk to most of the restaurants in town, about 25 minutes. The bedding in the condo could use an update, as the beds and linens seemed a little outdated. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this condo.
Cannot dispute the view from this unit is incredible. If you want beachfront, this is your unit - just be sure to bring your own beach umbrella and chairs - find it bizarre that a beachfront unit does not have this at their disposal.
Unit is high enough they you will likely not hear people in the pool.
The unit was spacious and clean:- I suggest the owner consider speak to the host about leaving a âwelcome folderâ with basic information in restaurants in the area, grocery stores and HOW TO DIAL A LOCAL NUMBER. A notebook would also be a welcome addition, seek g there is such an abundance of bird life in the area.
If you plan to rent a car, there are only 5 parking bays - your will need to find your own parking at street level.
Unit is walking distance to the âtownâ but not in the middle of the day (too hot and humid: Dec-Jan time). Taxis are very cheap though.
Pros:
Unit is clean and spacious with awesome ocean, beach, and town views. Located in the quiet North end of Jaco beach. Security were awesome (esp Henri). Nice having pool privileges at Crocs Casino although the buildings pool is very nice also.
Cons:
Literally only 6 parking spaces inside the compound. Be mindful of arriving with rental. Elevator floor buttons are annoying and worn out, as well as some floor tile in the common area need replacing. The 604 unit spare bedroom ac unit would not work, however, the unit has additional units that were sufficient. One elevator was out of commission the entire time. One person said he was caught inside of the broken one for about 2 hours prior to us arriving. The unit has a safe but they choose not to have it in useable because people donât operate it properly. Their are ways around this but itâs not my property.
If you have trouble with WiFi, open the WiFi cabinet and leave the doors open so the signal is stronger.
Overall, itâs was a great stay. Every place has its âthingsâ. We would def stay again. Felt very safe and the unit is very nice. Oh, could use a toaster! Lol.

This condo was perfect for a direct ocean view. Very modern building and elevator with efficient staff and ownership. We had a problem with the AC and the owner had someone out there right away. I loved the location for driving to outdoor activities and for many restaurants nearby. I would recommend this condo to all my friends and family.
We loved our stay here at The Palms in Jaco. Great view of the beach.......we loved hearing the sound of the ocean. We enjoyed swimming at Crocs. The location was perfect for all we had planned in the area. We loved the restaurants and shops close by, walking and swimming at the beach and the easy access to travel to Tortuga Island tour boat and Manuel Antonio National Park. Hosts were quick to respond smd very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Though not listed when I booked, the apartment has a washer and dryer. This is a big plus when traveling light. We had a wonderful time.
As of writing, Costa Rica's COVID restrictions change frequently. Yojaira is a great resource for planning and navigating current regulations.
My husband and I enjoyed our time in Jaco together very much, and would recommend this condo to anyone looking for relaxation, sunshine, and being by the ocean! We walked the beach every morning and spent part of the day by the pool at Crocâs resort next door. That is a plus if you stay at The Palms, they always, except for sometimes on Saturday, have plenty of chairs by the pool, and usually with an umbrella. We stayed at a place last year down the beach a ways and could not get a chair the whole time we were there! It is a 10 to 15 minute walk into town, we always wait until later in the afternoon because itâs pretty hot to walk into town in the middle of the day. A wonderful bakery in town is Panche Panâs, we love their sweet crescent rolls! Also taxis are between 2 to 3 dollars but it helps to get local colones at the bank when you get there. The people in Costa Rica are very friendly, it helps to know a little Spanish, I think they appreciate us trying to use their language.
I chose this neighborhood because itâs so close from downtown Only one hour and a half away and you can find everything from casino restaurants golf course Rhina
