Great spot

The beach was not crowded. We liked that the area wasn’t over crowded, and we was in between St John’s Passing and Clearwater for shopping and eating even though we had to drive. There is public transportation also available if wanting to uses it.

Perfect Getaway

This was such a cute and perfect condo for our family. We were able to walk to a few restaurants and you are right on the beach. While there is no pool it didn’t stop us from having a great time on the beach and in the ocean. I would absolutely go back to this condo again and again

Awesome Spot

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. You can walk right out to the beach every day and it's a nice location from everywhere you'd want to go (Tampa, Clearwater, St Pete Beach, etc.) - the only confusion we had was upon arrival as we didn't receive the door code. I was able to call and get it quickly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was fine to stay in unit 29. The overhead light in the kitchen was burned out or not working. It was impossible for us to launder our linens as we only read this in the new binder just hours before we were to check out very early Friday am. This room needs to be updated furniture worn. Bed was comfortable and sofas also Overall it was satisfactory for us for six days

Thank you for your comments. We were not aware of the light being out and will get that taken care of. We do not ask the tenant to launder the linens only if there is owner linen (beach towels) used additional to the regular sheets & towels. We will get the other items checked. The owner has been notified concerning the furniture and updates.

I think the pics and description are dated. It looks a little tired.

We experienced some problems, door code wouldn’t work, called and they finally used an emergency over ride code to get us in. Then no water pressure in shower or hot water. This was on a Saturday check in. Called maintenance 3xs, it was not resolved until Monday. And one of the other renters and an owner of a unit himself actually helped. The sofa has had a lot of use and is broken down in the middle, hard to sit on, can’t imagine sleeping on it. It states there’s a W/D, what they didn’t tell was it’s in a locked room to share with everyone, requiring $2 of quarters per load and you need a door code. There are no directions to anything in the unit we could find. We stayed 1 week and never saw anyone in the “Office” or maintenance. They give you a code for an ice machine, There is no ice machine. If hot/cold faucet is reversed, leave instructions, if there’s a trick to turning on the shower, leave instructions! There’s plenty of dishes & cookware, however, there is no place to put any food other than in the refrigerator and on the counter(?). No I would not recommend staying here. It’s a shame because the beach is beautiful and the other renters are very friendly. Unit def needs some maintenance, written directions and someone to help on the weekends, which I would guess most check in as it was available for rent Sat-Sat

This was truly not our intent to cause you such stress as you and your husband were trying to enjoy your getaway. Understanding your frustration regarding our efforts to assist you as quickly as we could, unfortunately, we had to wait for the HOA as any issue regarding the hot water is handled by them. This however does not excuse the lack of communication on our end. We will review each of your complaints and see what can be implemented to ensure that this does happen again in the future. We also have reiterated that coin laundry is accessible if needed. For the troubles, we can't apologize enough and we were more than happy to provide you with some compensation for the issues. We hope to have the opportunity to host you once more and if you have any further comments that you would like to share regarding your experience, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are always looking for ways to improve the vacationing rental experience for our guests.

AVOID! Unethical Owner/Property Management!

While our stay here was ok, we received damage charges a week after our stay claiming that we had stained the carpets and sofa (if you look at all the pictures, the carpets are clearly worn and stained already). These claims are completely false. Pictures have been requested to support their claim, but thus far have not been provided (in violation of VRBO policies). The local property mgmt company has become completely unavailable and VTrips (parent company) has been unwilling to do anything to address this matter. Avoid this property and anything that comes through these property managers (VTrips or Waterfront Vacation Rentals). Complaints have been filed. We had numerous issues with our stay and it took multiple calls to property mgmt to get any issues addressed (most were not). One of the toilets was charging (loudly - sounded like banging on the walls) at random, short intervals (eventually repaired). The fan in the freezer kept squealing in the middle of the night. The AC in the bedroom started to stink after a few days and underperformed (even at just 80 degrees outside). The bathroom fan in the master bath became very loud over our stay, partly the housing vibrating, but more importantly metallic scraping noises suggesting the fan was wearing out. Overall, the property was ok, but not great. The carpets were heavily worn and stained. The sofa sleeper was very old and incredibly uncomfortable. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. The fridge seemed to handle being loaded with food. The bedroom was very tight and the bed was clearly reaching end of life. The bathrooms were all showing considerable wear and tear. The room is located on the front of the hotel, facing the street, so it was subject to considerable street noise, especially during the day. Balconies have been added directly overhead and there was no sound insulation whatsoever. One guest arrived partway into our stay and was constantly stomping around and dragging furniture everywhere at all hours of the day and night, which affected our sleep. While I would have originally recommended the place, given the fraudulent damage charges from the property mgmt, I strongly urge people to STAY AWAY.

Tremendous

We have traveled to FLA for the past 4 years since our grand kids were born and this is the first time we have had a place on the beach. I wouldn't have it any other way and hope in the future I'll be able to stay here again. It's perfect for 2 but room enough for guests. I recommend an air bed because the sofa bed isn't comfortable to sit on never mind sleeping. The people we met have been staying here for over 20 years and were very friendly. Even though we were strangers to them they invited us to a Fat Tuesday sunset food spread. The beach was awesome and never crowded with it's soft white sand. Sunsets were unbelievable and not to be missed. We even had a few dolphin sightings.

That was awful and sooo frustrating. They didn't come by and were unwilling to check/program computer at their office. The check-in and check-out were fine, but the property is by the highway (noisy); the condo is attractive inside (nice paintings), but too much "stuff" (like cooking and serving utensils)! There is no room for food. No hair dryer,no mop and the telephone is a total disaster: no place to sit and take notes, and retrieving and leaving messages is little short of impossible. I would never use Waterfront Vacation rentals again and certainly would not recommend it to anyone else!

We are incredibly sorry you feel this way. We have never had these types of complaints at this unit and we are sorry that the technology issues took away from your stay directly on the beach. Wifi and phone operation have not been an issue previously. Sea Rocket is not located on a highway but is situated directly beach front in between the Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Blvd which is the main road along the Gulf that runs the length of the coast with a speed limit of 35 mph. The kitchen has all the amenities you would need to make meals in your condo with no previous complaints about food storage as this is one of the largest units at the Rocket. We hope that you will find joy on your next vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I just love this unit. Its perfect if you have a disability. Easy parking, first floor, just steps from beach. This was my second stay and plan on returning soon.

Fun in the Sun

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was another great stay at the Sea Rocket. Most of the recommendations from last year were addressed. The staff and maintenance personnel were very friendly and cooperative. The only issue was the inconsistency of the Wi-Fi.
