Chateau Condominiums is an intimate complex of only 16 units and offers a sparkling pool with a tiki picnic area, lounge chairs, and direct access to the shimmering sands of Belleair Beach. The town of Belleair Beach is a little piece of paradise full of old-fashioned neighborhood charm. It is mostly known for its relaxed atmosphere on two waterfronts: The Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway. Take the trolley to Clearwater for endless dining and shopping options or indulge in one of the local favorites. Be sure to make time to experience the famous Clearwater Aquarium, just 15 minutes away, and Busch Gardens less than one hour's drive.

This is a great rental. The only issue I ad was the small tv in the Livingroom sitting on top of the refrigerator. Very dangerous. Also not having a tv in the bedroom was a big issue for me. Also, you need to invest in so air-freshener plugins. Even though the place was clean when we checked in. The room had a foul smell to it due to being closed up for several days. But it is a great location. Great size for two people. Right on the beach. Would absolutely rent this place again. Great place for price.

Peaceful

Everything about this condo is absolutely what I look for in a place when I stay at the beach. This is a one bedroom condo that is small, clean, and equipped with everything one would need whether staying a night or a month. The view of the pool and the beach is spectacular. The units are in an extremely safe and quiet area on the beach. I look forward to staying again.

Nice location but dated

The beach and pool at this location are amazing! The unit is very dated. It has window air conditioning units which makes it difficult to keep a cool comfortable inside temperature. The unit does not have a dishwasher. Security is a concern as the condo door does not have a peephole to see if some knocks on the units door. Also, there is in chained deadbolt to use as a secondary lock. You are given a 4 door digit code to access the unit but one doesn’t know how often that code is changed. Ants were a problem during the stay and crawled all over the unit. The electrical plugin in the bedroom needs to be repaired. The faceplate is broken and one outlet is caved in and other is hanging out. The unit’s door is not sealed tightly. Smoke drifted into the unit the entire stay from neighbors smoking outside their doors. There are designated parking spots for this unit and the one for 8W is not marked clearly. The 8 needs to be made more clear. I received a loud knock on my door within hours of arrival of an upset neighbor to tell me to move my car. I do not recommend this condo complex for solo travelers. The neighbor was quiet nosy when I just wanted a relaxing stay.

Not a great experience

Pool was closed down by Department of Health five of the six days I stayed there. Reported this to management company but received no response. Door lock was not working on my arrival so I could not get into condo. Had to wait outside in hot sun while I tried to get issue resolved over the phone. Maintenance was required to come and fix the lock but it took several hours and Management company could not tell me a definite time so had to wait around that evening and also next morning when they were supposed to send someone to replace the lock element entirely. I was vacationing there from Canada for 6 days only and first two days were Inconvenienced by lock issue with front door and then after that no useable pool. I specifically booked this condo because it had a pool. Ended up leaving condo day earlier than planned (forfeiting a night stay) and checked into another place that had working facilities. I expected better seeing there are high fees added to nightly rate to pay for management fees and insurance fees to protect owners. I am really questioning the value of these fees and as I renter I feel like I should be protected and/or compensated for my issues.

Quiet footsteps from sand

Location was perfect for us. Quiet and private. Not congested, public access to beach next door can be a little noisy on weekends. Although No restaurants or shopping within walking distance. Tram on either side to Clearwater/ Madeira Beach/ John’s Pass area within 20 minute drive and 5 minute drive to Clearwater. Beach is beautiful residential area so not busy Beach isn’t clear of sea grass so some days there was heavy sea grass along beach Condo had everything we needed, kitchen well equipped, we left a few basics ,smaller than pictured /anticipated from online photos. Condo littler dated in comparison to other condos in the building. Pool smaller but nice and well maintained., as well as adequate for number people in building. Literally minute walk onto beach where the sunset is simply amazing. Bed comfy, reasonably clean, lots of towels, couple beach towels , I left an extra A noodle and I left a floaty bed . Overall we had an amazing time and would recommend to anyone. Two people maximum as it is small .

Fabulous

Fabulous trip and couldn't has asked for anything more. The owners followed up to see if we needed anything to make our stay. Location is wonderful and quiet which is what we were looking for. The beach was more then I expected and in my opinion the best strip of beach on Gulf Blvd. Pool was excellent and the property was well taken care of. Thank you for an unforgettable trip. I would definitely rebook.

Right on the beach

Super cute condo. The pool area was nice(we didn’t get to enjoy as much as we thought due to weather). Enjoyed the small walk to be right on the ocean beach combing at night and in the morning. Everything you need to cook any meal as far as utensils is available. Short drive to Clearwater and All the small beach towns along the island. The bed was mine and my nieces favorite…we both melted each night and fell right to sleep. In the kitchen/living room area are very comfortable recliners to watch tv or read a book next to the big window where you have a full view of the ocean! Quaint little Condos for a getaway!!

Well.....

Well....I would like to give this place a 5 but I just can't. If I rated it soley on location and beach I could but there is more to the story. Pool was beautiful but closed! Maintenance personnel said the property didn't have insurance. You have to be joking. Would not have stayed had I know that!! The accommodations we barely OK. So small there isn't any place to put your suitcase or cooler after you unpack. Had to rearrange the closer just to hang clothes. Hot water heater is so big it pushes the closet door out into the hall a bit. Very, very dated. Needs paint and furniture appears to have straight from Goodwill. Floor was not very clean and tile could use a good steaming. I really hate to be negative but it is so small you can hardly pass by each other without having to suckit in and my wife is probably 110 lbs. Loved the beach, loved the area but wouldn't stay here again.

Caveat Emptor

This property was not as it says on the internet. My husband and I were at the property for enough time to unload and then re-load our luggage. We chose not to stay due to the following reasons. There were jumbled electrical cords hanging off the walls in the kitchen leading to electrical plugs, (can't imaging OSHA approving this as it is unsafe) Floors were sandy, we were given only 2 towels for a 4 day stay at the beach. The internet shows it as modern and spacious when it's the exact opposite. It's very small and extremely smelly. We left and called to ask for a refund and thus far nothing has been done to refund or replace with another unit. Not sure I would want to try another property from these owners as they have been impolite by NOT phoning us, returning emails or text messages, no refund etc.. I was in tears and have suffered emotionally due to the stress of this unfortunate situation. It has been 6 days as of today with NO COMMUNICATION from the owners of this rental or from VRBO. Shame on you for not handling this professionally or with any care in the world to our pocket book. We will never use this company again. We have lost our much needed vacation days along with our $900 we spent. Very sad. This place was very used looking, smelly, old, dirty. Shame on all of you for how you handled this.

Always A Good Time

We come to vacation with a group who always stay at The Chateau. Great quiet location and close to everything in Clearwater. Walk out to the pool and right out to the beach!! The units are stocked well. One or two more bath towels would be nice. The units only have two.

Great Cozy Place

My girlfriend and I had a week without the kids and this was a perfect place for us. All we really needed was a bed, a shower, and the beach and this place had that and more. It’s basically a hotel room with a kitchenette but that’s not a knock on the place. It was clean, in a quiet and non crowded area, and everyone there was friendly. As long as you don’t expect some fancy super-condo (who wants that anyway?) and you aren’t bringing the whole family to cram into this one spot - it’s pretty awesome.

Quick getaway

It is an “Old Florida” hotel room. Kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. Right on the beach, a very quiet beach right next to exclusive Bellaire Beach.

Beautiful view!

This was what we wanted-right on the beach. The unit is just as advertised, so don't be surprised that it is "old Florida. " Bed was comfortable and the unit was clean and well stocked.
