**** MISE À JOUR: Nouvelle laveuse / sécheuse pleine grandeur et nous avons maintenant la climatisation!******

Spacieux cottage complètement rénové, 300 m², idéalement situé à la campagne pour explorer la région de Portland et la vallée de Willamette. 1/2 mile de la rivière Molalla avec accès au trou de natation. Notre région est remplie de charme de petite ville, d’antre antique Aurora, de la ville historique d’Oregon, de Silver Lake Falls, de randonnées renommées et de chutes d’eau. Fermer l'accès aux vignobles, fermes, golf, kayak, vélo et magasins d'usine. Vous vous sentirez comme si vous étiez en train de vous échapper, mais les commodités modernes telles que Safeway, essence, bureau de poste, etc. sont à 7 minutes.

Le chalet a été achevé au printemps 2016. Il dispose d'un plan d'étage ouvert avec 2 chambres et 1 salle de bain sur une parcelle privée de 3 hectares avec la maison principale des propriétaires. Le chalet offre une sensation de pays, avec des équipements modernes et a la vie privée de la maison principale. Sur le côté sud du chalet, vous pouvez profiter d'un cadre boisé avec un bosquet de sapins, du côté nord, profiter du soleil de l'après-midi et des couchers de soleil fabuleux depuis le perron.

La propriété est clôturée et fermée. Nous accueillons les enfants et considérons les animaux domestiques bien dressés.

Politique relative aux animaux domestiques:
Nous avons deux chiens et un chat d'extérieur, un poulet en liberté qui se prend pour un chat et deux lapins d'extérieur. Tous nos animaux sont sympathiques et aiment se faire de nouveaux amis. Fetch, n'importe qui? Les clients peuvent avoir un maximum de deux animaux de compagnie. Afin que nous puissions maintenir notre hébergement à un niveau élevé pour tous les invités, les animaux domestiques ne sont pas autorisés sur les meubles, y compris les lits et doivent être surveillés à tout moment quand dans la cour. Nous demandons un dépôt supplémentaire remboursable de 200 USD pour les animaux domestiques et les frais de nettoyage sont de 100 USD pour ceux qui voyagent avec des animaux domestiques.

Not a peaceful retreat

The property to find it looked nothing like the photos. The photos on VRBO same result. The owner met me and told me that I needed to park in the very specific place and that my dog is not to be anywhere on the property is everything at all times. The gate to the property was broken, the trampoline was broken, and the garden voiceover trail normal holes everywhere. I had to lead entry to the property personal reasons and when I arrived one week late I found that the property was dirty, there were ants everywhere, and the furniture was in poor condition. I am sorry to read this review and wish Sunshine the best. We tried everything to make this reservation work and believe our previous reviews are a consistent indication of our hospitality and commitment to cleanliness and safety. We are also cross listed with other sites with only 5 star reviews. For clarification: 1. The photos are accurate 2. Guests have 2 dedicated parking spots 3. The automatic gate opener was broken and we were waiting for a part that was delayed due to supply chain issues during the pandemic. However, the gate was fully functional manually. 4. Our trampoline was and is not broken, it was in a grove of trees close to the cottage and we noticed some larger branches higher up in the tree that were damaged during the ice storm last year. I asked for 24 hrs so we could move it to a safer location. That was completed on time. 5. As stated the guest arrived a week late, and some ants were noticed in the kitchen and bathroom only. We had a pest service come the same day and resolved the ants. 6. This guests showed up with all their own bedding, sofa covers, towels, rugs etc. After several trips back and forth moving everything in, we were notified that the floors were dirty. We re-mopped all floors. 7. We do ask the pets be supervised in the yard, our property is fenced but not escape proof and 3 acres is a lot of room to roam!

Perfect, relaxing cottage, surrounded by nature

This special cottage is clean, comfortable, and well set up with everything you need...including special extras. The lovely beds, bedding, and sofa are very comfortable. You see nature out of every window. We loved sitting on the front porch, surrounded by beautiful flowers, next to a grove of trees, watching our dog enjoy the large expanse of green lawn. We also felt very safe here. This is an amazingly cared for property, by the best hosts you will ever meet. Truly. (And I travel often.) They went above and beyond, many times; leaving the light on AND a flashlight for our late night arrival, giving us much needed resource information...several times, making our stay genuinely wonderful. We are better people for knowing them. Do not hesitate to book this property.

Beautiful little cottage on spacious grounds

I stayed here for a month while waiting for escrow to close on my house in West Linn. The owners, Danielle & Garrett, and son Cameron, could not have been nicer, more-responsive hosts. They provided everything - including a bottle of wine and homemade cookies at check in! Even though they had designed this cottage as a rental they spared no expense to include high end cookware, fixtures, bedding, cabinetry. It was lovely sitting out on the front porch watching the sun go down every night. A wonderful respite from an otherwise chaotic month (moving).

Amazing and relaxing stay!

We needed a place to land while our house had some construction going on. The owners answered all of our questions, made check in a breeze and gave us our privacy during our stay. The cottage was so comfortable, and we felt right at home! My kids loved the trampoline and rode their bikes in the driveway, and really enjoyed the big clawfoot tub. Should we ever need a place to stay in the area we will definitely return! The perfect place to call home for a week.

Great rental!

We rented this cottage for one of our company superintendents on a project in the area and this has provided him a comfortable, more "like home" accommodation. Danielle has been very responsive with any requests and providing information on the area to make this stay very easy! I highly recommend.

Perfect Cottage in a great location!!

We really enjoyed our time here in the Canby Cottage. The cottage itself is so beautiful, it’s has such history as the original home on a tree farm, it’s obviously been completely renovated and thoughtfully decorated, but still has the charm from the original structure. Perfect for this historic area. The property is welcoming and amazing but the hosts are another reason we would want to come back. They are such a great family, always in reach if we had questions, and full of local information to make our stay even better. We can’t recommend The Canby Cottage enough!!!

Charming,Peaceful, Clean, Quiet Canby Cottage

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Canby Cottage. There were 4 of us and my 13 month old grandson visiting the area for the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest. Plenty of room and we all slept very well. Canby Cottage had everything we would need. My grandson loved stepping outside to see the bunnies. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. In between our visits to Oktoberfest, we were able to visit The Red Door Antique Shop in Canby and find some nice antiques at great prices. Danielle had suggested the Markham Inn restaurant and it has great food and service. Thank you Danielle and Garrett for sharing your Cottage.

Just what we needed!

We stayed in this cute little cottage during our time in the area for our nephew's wedding. It was a busy weekend and we were grateful to have a peaceful place to stay each night. The cottage is beautifully decorated with Pottery Barn type bedding and linens. I was able to enjoy a nice soak one evening in the cute clawfoot tub. The hosts communicated very well throughout our stay and even left a bottle of wine and some snacks for our arrival. Such a nice touch after a day of traveling to get there! The cottage is located close to a busy road, so there is road noise during the day, but it is peaceful and quiet as the evening progresses. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.

Quiet and relaxing time

Lovely clean and inviting cottage that had everything we needed . Host, Danielle was very inviting and welcomed us with a bottle of wine and beer. We checked in late and she was still there to greet us , Knowing we didn’t have time to shop for food or coffee for the next morning she graciously provided ground coffee, creamer and eggs. We highly recommend this stay if you are looking for a restive, quiet place but still close enough to other small cities , you will enjoy the stay.

Create rental with full kitchen.

This is a cute little place to stay and is very well decorated and maintained. The full kitchen was much appreciated. Danielle is very quick to respond with text or phone calls and to offer suggestions. I stayed here while waiting to get into my new house and it was perfect, There are cute bunnies and a pretty wooded area just outside the windows and a covered porch for sitting. It borders on a golf course.

Loved the cottage!

I spent 4 lovely nights at the cottage and I thoroughly enjoyed the time. The beds were great, super comfortable and the couch was the type you can just sink into in the very best way. I did a lot of food prep for a big event and found the kitchen so easy to use with lots of options for bowls and kitchen utensils. The kitchen set up was really nice for the all work I needed to do. The only downside was the road noise but it dies way down at night so sleeping was easy for me. Thank you!

Cozy cottage, close to activites

My boyfriend and I had a great time staying at this cozy cabin for a week. Danielle sent me helpful suggestions of things to do/see in the area, leading up to our trip, and then was there to greet us and show us around the cottage when we arrived; however, while she was available if we needed anything, we felt like we had privacy throughout the week. The cottage was conveniently located, and it was easy to get to vineyards, the beach, hiking trails, and downtown Portland. I would highly recommend this cottage, and hope to be back to visit someday!

Home away from home.

We were very comfortable and pleased. The setting was convenient to our many relatives and the places we needed to go. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and overall wonderful. We relocated back to Oregon in 2015 and were enchanted with this property. It feels like country, fresh air, gorgeous sunsets, but not out in the boonies! We are thrilled to share this unique area. We have all the necessary modern amenities and easy access to Portland,, but without the hustle and bustle of urban living.

Ideal location for those looking to explore, outdoor enthusiasts or for those that simply would like to relax, or have an extended stay for life's transitions. We have had several couples and families stay for extended periods while relocating to Portland, remodeling their own home or wanting a different pace of life for a while.

We have worked in hospitality for years and have renovated this cottage from top to bottom to the standards of a "home away from home." New beds, soft linens, fluffy towels, a deep clawfoot tub and shower, and a well stocked kitchen await you. We enjoy meeting people and are happy to offer recommendations, help with directions etc.
