Notre chalet Fox Tail Chalet près de Seven Springs et Hidden Valley Resorts peut accueillir jusqu'à 9 personnes et dispose de 2 salles de bain complètes. Ce chalet rustique en bois rond comprend une chambre principale avec lit queen-size, deux lofts et un canapé-lit dans le salon. Un loft a 3 lits jumeaux et le deuxième loft a un lit double. Le deuxième loft peut également accueillir un matelas pneumatique complet ou queen si nécessaire. Le Fox Tail Chalet dispose d'une cuisine complète garnie de casseroles, poêles, assiettes, couverts et ustensiles de cuisine. Apportez simplement votre épicerie ou demandez-nous d'en ramasser pour vous avant votre séjour!

Ce chalet est situé à seulement 9,6 km des domaines skiables de Seven Springs Mountain Resort et de Hidden Valley. Cheminées! Nous avons une vraie cheminée à bois entièrement approvisionnée en bois de chauffage pour votre séjour. Jack Claycomb était un maître maçon et a construit notre cheminée massive pour être le point central du chalet de montagne Fox Tail.

Chalet de montagne authentique - Fox Tail est un chalet de montagne authentique, pas un condo habillé pour ressembler à une cabane. Le chalet Fox Tail a été entièrement construit à partir de bois d'origine locale qui présente des poutres en bois massif et un intérieur brut. Vous ne trouverez pas une once de cloison sèche dans cette maison en bois rond. Les journaux ont encore l'écorce sur eux!

Animaux acceptés - Nous aimons les animaux! Nous accueillons la plupart des races de chiens, une rareté ici dans les Laurel Highlands. Nous avons cependant quelques restrictions de race car il y a plusieurs cabines situées sur notre propriété.

Observation de la faune et des oiseaux - Fox Tail Chalet a une grande mangeoire pour oiseaux sur le pont arrière en bois qui attire toutes sortes d'oiseaux de Blue-Jays, Cardinals, Woodpeckers et une variété de pinsons. Des parcelles de cerfs sont installées près de la cabane qui attirent le cerf de Virginie ainsi que des écureuils et un ou deux renards gris occasionnels.

This was a great little stay while our son got married, not far away. The host were super accommodating and the old school loft style cabins were perfect for us.

Very great communication with hosts prior to stay, cute and quaint little cabin chalet just as described. Fully supplied kitchen made for meal prep pretty easy. Bring groceries bc the area has limited options nearby. We knew this ahead of time and probably saved us time and money.

Nice rustic comfortable cabin

This cabin was nicer than pics show on site . Downstairs bedroom was very comfortable and has own bathroom . Additionally there are two lofts one with a double bed and the other loft with three singles . Additional bathroom and shower makes it easy to have five people in one space .. We were impressed by the generous amount of split wood and made a fire each night . This property feels rustic and removed but has the safety of other cabins on property .. we all enjoyed our time here .

Relaxing Getaway

What a beautiful property! We’ve stayed in many cabins, and this Foxtail Chalet was great! Very clean, cozy and comfortable! We’d like to return in the winter as it was a bit warm. I’m sure it is especially cozy in the winter months.

The property is located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands. This is a great location for exploring the area. The property was clean and quiet. Our Japanese Spitz loved being able to walk out the back door to do her business.

Great house. Super clean and cozy.

We had a great time staying at this home. Very clean and great location between Hidden Valley and 7 springs. Huge lot, great fireplace and a ton of dry wood.. We had a couple small issues when we got there with the connection to internet but the owner Dave was all over it and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. A big thank you to him for being so responsive and making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely go back..

Relaxing Weekend

Clean, Rustic and Romantic , we really enjoyed a few days here. The authentic wood burning fireplace was awesome and the owners provided more than enough firewood. We definitely will return someday.

Made the best of it

We arrived only to have the property manager tell us he did not have our reservation! We had a confirmation number and confirmed booking. He said there was a mix up with the booking. He offered us an apartment under the cabin we were supposed to have because someone had booked our cabin after we did. It was okay. The yard had alot of worn out things and trashy. The inside was okay but all the furniture was worn out and old. When you sat on the couch you would sink to the floor! The fireplace was in the driveway and the road was only a few hundred yards away so the car noise was disturbing. the bedroom decorations were axes, awes, knives and other weird stuff. We appreciated him accommodating us however not sure what happened. We even communicated before the arrival and he still did not pick up that he did not have our reservation. He did refund part of the rental fees.

Susan, We did apologize for the double booking and accommodated you and your sister in our apartment that was on stand by. We also refunded you 100% of your stay minus the cleaning fee from our end and did not charge you a pet fee for the three dogs you brought with you. Our furniture is NOT worn out and old, the decorations are the same in all of our cabins, and the yard is not trashy. You seemed to enjoy your free stay, used plenty of firewood, and let your dogs run free through the property even though we have rules and regulations against doing so. You have also left this public review for a cabin you didn't actually stay in. While we understand that this was not the best situation for you we did everything possible to turn an unexpected double booking into a positive. Obviously, you missed that point based on your negative review of our property. Hopefully, future guests can look past this review and understand we did our best to accommodate you in an unfortunate situation.

Fun family ski vacation

Plenty of room for seven of us and our two dogs. So happy to have nice place that we could bring dogs along. Fire place and firewood supply fantastic. Rustic and charming. Kids enjoyed the loft experience. Only complaint is family room was drafty when outside temp very cold (teens and below).

Absolutely, loved it!

Julie/Dave are awesome people! This property worked out great for a guys night on friday, and a night with my special lady on Saturday! Linens, towels, paper towels, tp, and garbage bags all provided. The charcoal grill worked out too. This is a well decorated legit cabin on the inside. The backyard has some serious space for yard games. This was great for a summer weekend, and imagine it's awesome for a ski weekend. Sarnelli's market is super close if ya need something in a pinch. Also, keg brewery is 0.5 miles up the road.

Very happy with stay.

The photos on-line do not do these properties justice. I was met by the owner upon arrival. Very nice and helpful people. The kitchen was well equipped with everything anyone would need, and both bathrooms were nicely sized full baths. Not only was the cabin clean and well kept, the property overall was well maintained. If you are looking for a rustic feel well all the amenities, this is a great property for your stay.

We loved the property, off the road, easy to get to Seven Springs. All the amenities you could ask for. Just some helpful notes to the owner would be to repair the vertical blinds. We did not have complete privacy near the sliding glass door. Update the leather ottoman (ripped and torn), clean and dust the wall and floor heaters (dust visible). One of the lights in the high beam ceiling was out, dim at nght. We appreciated all the wood available to burn. Overall cozy and charming.

An incredible weekend

Dear prospective visitors, Recently, I hosted a party at this cabin in Seven Springs for my brother's Bachelor Party. Upon our arrival, Dave (the owner) treated us with kindness and welcomed us in. He provided a tour, kept the cabin stocked with plenty of wood, and ensured that everything we needed was accounted for. We were extremely pleased when we walked through the door. The layout was rustic, yet had a modern touch. Our party consisted of 8 big fellas and we were able to sleep all of us comfortably. Our weekend was full of laughter, great food, plenty of drinks, and unforgettable memories. My brother couldn't have been happier and nor could I. Owners Jack and Julie inherited the property known as Claycomb Chalets from their late father whom built the Chalet cabins in the early 1980's. Jack Sr., their father was an avid skier and outdoors-man who loved the Laurel Highlands and decided to retire here and build his mountain chalets for everyone to enjoy while visiting the Laurel Highlands.

Today Jack and Julie maintain residence at the property and Julie manages the day-to-day operations of the mountain retreat. They feel being on-site offers their guests a sense of trust knowing someone is there to check them in and show them around the property and area. They are quick to respond for anything from additional linens to helping getting the fire started if necessary.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

In 2014 Jack and Julie had the idea of continuing their father’s legacy in the Laurel Highlands by opening up Claycomb Chalets to the public by offering short-term vacation rentals in their father’s one-of-a-kind Chalets. They both quickly found out why their father loved the mountain and the people that came to visit year-round. Following in their father's traditions, they enjoy getting to know their guests and host annual open houses, pig roasts and holiday parties for all to enjoy.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Hands down it has to be the stone fireplaces. Who doesn't enjoy sitting by the fireplace sipping a good glass of wine while watching wildlife frolic among the woods surrounding the cabin. Snow covered trees in the winter and dark green forest and plant life in spring and summer months. The fall produces some of the most amazing changing colors that visitors from hundreds of miles come to experience. Finally, the people. We have amazing guests that come back year-after-year to enjoy our cabin.
