Nice location. Amazingly hot water. Close to Highlands Golf Course. Donegal and Somerset are both easily accessible. Very pet friendly.

We enjoyed the cabin, fire pit, gas fire place and air hockey table. I was glad I packed an extra blanket and pillow for the bed. I found extra blankets, but although mothballs are useful, I am very sensitive to the smell. The only downside was the sheets on 1 bed didn’t appear clean. I am wondering if a previous visitor made the made instead of stripping it at the end of their stay. Either way, it was fine. I just threw them in the washer while enjoying a campfire. The host was very responsive to our questions and comments. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay. Worked out great with our 2 small dogs, close to parks for walks in the morning. Only thing I would change is brighter lighting inside especially in the kitchen. Rather dark trying to cook. Overall great place for the week. Thank you.

The house was so cute and full of charm. It had enough bed space for our party and dog! We loved how close it was to seven springs and it made our weekend relaxing and enjoyable! We hope to be back!

Nice getaway

We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Close to great hikes in the area. Super cozy cabin with everything you could need to enjoy your time.

The property was a “mixed bag”. The cabin was as advertised, rustic and cozy. While we found all of the taxidermy interesting, I’m not sure this would appeal to everyone.When we entered the cabin the musty, mildew odor was overwhelming. Use of the furnace made the situation worse. The unhealthy air quality of mold/mildew odor was a real concern for us as my husband has a respiratory issue.We had a reservation for 2 nights but left after the first night.Regarding cleanliness. I stripped the bed as requested and found a stained mattress pad. I could not locate garbage can liners after emptying the cans as requested. The bottom of the kitchen garbage can was soiled.In closing, a refund of the unused night would, in our opinion, demonstrate sound business practice.

We wish these items were brought to our attention during your stay rather than afterwards so that we could properly address them and improve your experience. It was a rainy weekend which sometimes can lead to a "musty" smell in the cabin, but there is no mold or mildew. We would have been happy to provide air purifiers or humidifiers for the rooms, but were not provided the chance to do so since you did not ask for assistance during your stay. The cleanliness items have been addressed with our housekeeping team. In the future, please reach out during your stay if you have any issues as we provide a local contact for assistance!

The cabin was infested with mice and hornets/wasps. Over 50 wasp/hornets flying into the walls on the outside and over twenty five killed inside.

We did not hear from you at all during your stay, despite the numerous means of communication provided (Vrbo messenger, owner/local contact phone numbers and emails). The property was checked prior to your arrival with no issues reported, so saying the cabin was "infested" is exaggerated. When our team arrived after your stay they did find a few mice and wasps coming in and out of the wood frame. The property has since been treated to prevent these issues from happening again, but it is not uncommon for there to be occasional wildlife in/around the cabin given the location. We encourage future guests to please reach out to the several provided contacts if there are any issues upon arrival - we cannot fix what we don't know about.

Great location

This property is a perfect distance from both Hidden Valley and Seven Springs. Home is clean and perfect for both small families and large groups. Yard was great for outdoor play.

Great location, house with a cabin feel

Great location, address was accurate. Very nice fully functional home with a cabin feel. Huge porch and pet friendly. A nice firepit and sitting area as well. Very quiet and butts up to the state park.

Nice property

Very cool lodge and nice stay. Only negative is not a lot around the area by way of restaurants or anything to do. That said, quiet place and pet friendly. Good time!

Sounds like a nice weekend at our property! Somerset does offer many local winter activities including hiking and snowboard/skiing nearby, but it is true that restaurant options are limited. We are glad you enjoyed your stay!
