La maison a deux chambres Ă coucher. La chambre principale est trĂšs grande avec deux lits queen et un lit simple. Le deuxiĂšme est un loft qui a un lit king et un lit simple. Cette chambre donne sur la grande piĂšce.
Liked the cabin and the area wasnât expecting the rough roads to get to the house. The house was clean except for the dirty sock on the couch when we walked in. During winter definitely would need 4x4 and chains to get to the house from the main road. Was a little disappointed that the post says sleeps up to 10 but didnât say that meant two people sleeping on the same couch. There are 4 twins 2 fulls and the couch. We had ten people but luckily there were 6 kids so we made it work. The fire pit was nice the picnic table needs to go due to how rotted it is , and There was broken pieces glass from bottles around the fire pit from previous guest that we picked up. Would not recommend kids under four due to the rougher terrain. Will rent this again but more for a retreat for me and the wife next time. Overall had a good experience here and would recommend to people with older kids.
Fantastic rental in the Seven Springs resort area. Check in could not have been easier, and communication with the host was quick, accommodating and respectful. Shuffleboard table was the dark horse of the vacation and helped provide some great entertainment on rainy nights. Locals in the houses were great, and the bar across the street (within walking distance) was a blast. All in all, very pleased on the location, accommodations, price and interaction with the host.
Rustic cabin my daughter and I loved staying here for a few days. She loved the loft area. Great communication with the owner and location was great to travel to see Falling Waters and Flight 93.
We rented Stone Cliff to treat our grandsons to a few days in the woods. It fit the bill nicely. Although it was a bit more rustic than expected it was quite comfortable and offered a good adventure for the boys. The fire pit was the best! We enjoyed a fire each night which included roasted marshmallows and hot dogs over the fire. Close proximity to Kooser State Park which is a short drive away. Short hikes and fishing available. If sidewalks existed it would be a doable walk. Unfortunately we tried it once but speeding vehicles along hwy 31 made it dangerous. We enjoyed a summer adventure day at Seven Springs which was a lot of fun. Overall a great stay. Would return again for sure!
We are so grateful for this getaway!!! Talked to the host prior to stay and he was gracious and kind and flexible and answered all our questions so we hit book less than 24 hours before heading out there for a couple of days. The place was as described ... quaint and cozy. Lots of room to stretch out and relax and watch a couple movies, play games, and have family meals, plenty of room to sleep and so much more. Just enough yard to take out our furry friend and let him enjoy the outdoors and all the sticks and cool of the wooded property. We had no agenda but to getaway and relax and it was just right to do this here and this area. Got to venture to the lake near by for a stroll, took a ride through the park and resorts and stopped at a few local places that were great. Even enjoyed stopping at the Flight 93 Memorial on our way home today as an extra added bonus.
We really had a great time. This cabin was very very nice very clean very well kept and comfortable. It was a bit sketchy, navigating the terrain to and from the cabin as we were there during an ice storm. We did manage that by parking in a lot off the main road at the bottom of the hill with permission. other than that no complaints.
Small parking area and road into place where very icy. Several of us fell. Large chucks of ice fell off roof. Luckily no injuries. Floors very iffy, spongy, tilted and sagging. Water was highly sulfur smelling.
The cabin was super cute and cozy. We had a few issues with the water and frozen pipes but nothing that wasnât easily resolved. The owner was very responsive and offered to have someone come help if needed. The cabin is only 10min from Hidden Valley Ski Resort and we had a great weekend skiing.
I grew up nearby in Johnstown but my step kids and wife have on experienced winter 2-3 times the last few years â it was everything I was looking for them to have a relaxing night in the woods! Great weekend, awesome location between 2 ski resorts and was fairly easy to find with the directions that were provided!
We enjoyed this dog-friendly cabin for two nights. Would recommend if you have good mobility and can climb up the challenging stairs. Loved the big living room with lots of comfy seatingâŠwould be great for a large family who likes to bunk together.
Like a country cabin with a rough drive but a high price. The water appeared to be unfiltered well water with a brown tint. The half bath was only a toilet. The whole cabin was a little on the run down side. It was very quiet and pleasant and felt secluded even though there were close neighbors.
The cabin was cozy, and extremely convenient location to Hidden Valley, which was the main purpose of our weekend.
Plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 3 young kids. The large family room accommodated everyone very well, and the shuffleboard table was a big hit.
Sleeping arrangements were not as expected based on the listing and pictures, but it worked out fine. Would have been nice to have a bedroom with a closed door since kids went to bed earlier than the adults. Open loft is the second bedroom, and main bedroom at top of open staircase. Not much privacy but worked fine for our family group.
Overall we had a great weekend, comfortable place to hang out and relax after a day of skiing. The check in process and accessing the cabin both extremely easy. Clear instructions provided by host.
The cabin is rustic and overall a nice place to stay. Plates, dishes and cups were a little insufficient for a large group, but we improvised with paper and plastic. The gravel road in is rough and would be challenging with a decent snow, but wasn't too bad with just a few inches. We enjoyed our stay with a bunch of teens hitting the nearby ski slopes. It was a 15 min. drive to Seven Springs Ski Resort.
Overall we had a good experience. Required more effort to heat cabin than expected - had to dig out firewood from slab pile, had to split firewood (it was subzero weather!). The fireplace was essential due to limited alternate heat sources that functioned and leaky door seal allowing cold air to come in. Had minor inconveniences due to some nonfunctioning or missing items but able to improvise. Considering the overall condition of cabin/contents the price is a bit high compared to other places we've stayed. Still had a great time being together and laughing in this cabin getaway.
