Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay and for your nice comments. We take all reviews seriously, and try and address any things that guests feel need attention. Both mattresses were replaced 2 years ago, but they might not always be a good feel for everyone which is difficult, so I am sorry if you did not find it comfortable for you personally. The pillows are also replaced regularly, but like the mattress, they do not always be good for everyone. If a guest has a problem with pillows, I would like them to let me know, and I would be happy to address the problem and change them to suit if possible. You were excellent guests and I hope to see you another time in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of your stay, and I am sorry to read of your complaints which I take very seriously. The problem with the WiFi was not brought to my attention until a few days after your arrival, at which time I said I would contact the Company immediately, but you said that you would do this yourself, and it was not a problem. I heard nothing more until I called you again 2 days later, when you then informed me that it was still causing problems, so I then called the Company myself, and an engineer came the same day. I did apologise for the lack of service, and again you assured me it was not a problem. With regard to the break-in which you reported to me, I wanted to come to the villa immediately and asked if you had reported it to the Police. You rejected my offer to come down as there was no damage or anything disturbed in the house, and you were going to the beach. You only discovered someone had entered the property because money was missing. You said that the burglers had managed to open a locked door, removed the keys for the security doors to enter the premises. They found the money without disturbing anything, leaving the property and closing and locking the security gates again, and returning the keys back to where they were. This is very unusual to say the least. You did not go to file a report at the Police Station until you were on your way back to the airport for your journey home. This was obviously very disturbing, as we have never had this happen before as we take security of our guests very seriously. We also try if possible, to accommodate guests when a late or early check-in is requested, but at the present time, extra cleaning is required because of the Covd virus, so we have to be quite strict with check out times to prepare for the next guests. This was explained to you at least twice before when you asked for a late check out, but I did then agree that a 11am departure was fine. At the moment, we do ask guests to pay a small charge for a late check out, and this was emailed to you before arrival, and a note is left in the villa to this effect for guests. This is a temporary measure to ensure guests keep to the agreed times at the moment. I am sorry that you feel I was not a good host, and obviously your stay did not go well. Fortunately by our other reviews, the majority of our guests are very Happy with us and the service they receive, but of course realise that on this occasion you felt otherwise.

I am sorry that your experience in staying in our home was not satisfactory with regard to the cleanliness of the property. I met with your wife as soon as I was made aware of her issues and agreed that certain aspects were unacceptable. I immediately asked if she wished to leave, but she assured me that she really liked the property and wished to stay. Due to illness, we had to use an agency cleaner for the clean prior to your wife's arrival, who clearly let us down. Your wife and I agreed that we would undertake another thorough deep clean and I would refund the money for those days until then. Our own cleaner returned and after inspection, your wife said she was very happy with everything and again said she wished to stay. Unfortunately after staying for 10 days, she said she wanted to leave. You had previously asked to stay for a further 5 days which I had not charged you for, and had waived the pet charge plus I have refunded the 10 days rental for the time you had stayed in the property. I did my best to rectify the situation so you could continue to enjoy your stay in our home, and I am sorry your wife felt otherwise. We have now completely redecorated and refurbished the property so future guests can be sure that they have a good experience when staying in our home. Hopefully previous and future reviews will reflect that. Thank you again for your feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay and we appreciate your comments. I am sorry that you felt that the property was not as described and not to a good standard. After a few days I always contact our guests to make sure they are happy with everything, and you assured me that it was so I did not have the opportunity to discuss this with you. I did mention to you on your arrival about the falling leaves etc, but unfortunately the bougainvillea does loose its flowers and leaves regularly, as do the pine trees but which we do not have any control over in the garden. The property is now being refurbished, including the bathrooms, and new photographs will be put on the web page to reflect this.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay, and I sincerely apologise for the problem you encountered with 1 of the security shutters, Unfortunately this was not discovered until the cleaner came on the day of your arrival. It was just 2 days before the Easter holiday, so it was not possible to get the part needed during your stay as you were just there for a short break. This has now been fixed and operating ok. Again I am sorry that it was a security issue for you. However I am pleased you liked the villa and its position and enjoyed your stay.

Condensation can be an issue if the windows are not open after usage sometimes. I will leave a note to that effect for future guests.
