We all had a great time in this beautiful house . It has plenty of room for our family of three generations. It is spotless and near to several attractions. Our little grandchildren especially enjoyed the pool which kept them amused on a couple of rainy afternoons.
The house was fantastic, plenty big enough for us all. The pool was an extra bonus of which we all really enjoyed.
Overall....a wonderful holiday in a wonderful house.
We are a 3-generation family and had a wonderful holiday at Western Waters. The house was spotless and spacious with lovely gardens and an excellent indoor pool. The grandchildren were in the pool everyday. We all slept very well as the area is so quiet. We highly recommend the house and we are planning our return visit
We had a lovely stay at this amazing house. It was perfectly set out giving 4 generations their own space. The kitchen was well equipped and the fridge space was brilliant. The pool was excellent and enjoyed by everyone.
The host was lovely and always available by email if you needed anything.
Lovely property with ample space for 10 people with a large lounge, dining room, sun room and large room upstairs with table tennis. Plenty of space to all hang out together or have our own space.
The grounds were beautiful with lots of space to walk around. The pool was a great hit with the kids. Close to local town and supermarkets.
Fantastic holiday at this lovely house! The house was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Lots of outside space for exploring and playing, with an enclosed area for eating outside. The pool was lovely and a godsend as the weather was a bit unsettled during our stay. Host was easily contactable if necessary and responded very quickly. Would highly recommend.
Great house with plenty of room for the 10 of us with beautiful gardens. Clean and well equipped kitchen. Owners helpful and answered any queries promptly, even before we booked. Indoor pool very useful in English changeable weather. Close to sea and stony beaches, Dartmouth had Park and Ride, about 5 minutes away and open top busses (on good days) every 10 minutes.
We were a family group of grandparents, children, grandchildren and the house was perfect for us all. We especially liked that one young family could sleep in one area of the house and the other family in a slightly different area which avoided everyone being up once the youngest was awake. The bedrooms were all comfortable and lots of bathrooms which we love as a family. The kitchen/conservatory area is fabulous and far bigger than the pictures lead you to believe. This was the hub of our stay with meals as well as playing games. We did use the lounge which was very comfortable but mainly for the adults in the evening.
As for the extras, brilliant. The pool is a wonderful luxury and the children thoroughly enjoyed their time playing. The full sized table tennis table was used by all and there were many competetive games taking place. We loved the huge garden and had fun cooking marshmallows in the fire pit as well as just playing outside.
Although the house is a rural setting it is only 10 minutes from Dartmouth. We had trips to a range of beaches so plenty to occupy your time.
The area was very pretty and not too far away from things to do for all the ages. The property was well equipped thoughout, clean & spacious. The pool was amazing & when all 10 of us was in didn't feel full. The garden was well looked after, with lots of different areas to explore. The owners were very helpful & always quick to reply to any questions. There is a beautiful garden nearby, Rabbit Farm, well worth a visit. Whilst Blackpool Sands beach is only 2 miles away the walk is quite a hike with very steep hills to navigate. The local pub. The Sportmans Arms is about a 20-25 min walk away, very cozy. Despite being quite remote the Wi-Fi was reasonable. Good idea to take your t.v app logins with you. Our party ranged from 65yrs - 3yrs very one had a lovely time.
The house was amazing and the garden too. Wonderful views and an awesome location. We enjoyed sitting in the barbeque area for meals.
The house is large and we had plenty of space to spread out. The swimming pool was brilliant. Large enough for a decent swim and pool volley ball.
We recently got back from our second visit to Western Waters and it was every bit as enjoyable as our first!
The setting within the residence is warm and welcoming - perfect for families, particularly large ones, with the abundance of space available. The open kitchen area and sun room especially brings everyone together with refreshing natural light, even in the winter. The indoor swimming pool and table tennis are must-haves; they provided us with hours of entertainment and were utilised heavily due to the poor weather on our more recent trip.
The dwelling is situated on beautiful grounds allowing for plenty of exploring and it is a short drive to Dartmouth and within easy reach of Totnes for a day-trip. This time, we did not manage to have a BBQ and enjoy sâmores but next timeâŠ
Western Waters was an excellent property for our 3 generation family holiday. The rooms and layout appeared even better than portrayed in the photos, we never felt short of space.
The kitchen is well equipped with a large range, 3 fridges and freezer, with the added bonus of a large utility. We would suggest a few extra plastic chopping boards as the wooden ones were very large and heavy for vege chopping.
Many hours were enjoyed by all in the pool which is a good size and heated to a good temperature.
The grounds are extensive and interesting, with a great BBQ terrace and dining area where we spent most evenings.
Although well lit, the other outside lights need attention as only one appeared to work.
There is plenty of parking albeit somewhat challenging to manoeuvre cars around.
Bugford is such a great location and we were fortunate to have a couple of heat wave days to enjoy the beach. The Tour of Britain Bike race passed through Dartmouth during our stay - so enjoyed by the 6 cyclists in the party. Our e bikes were much appreciated with the hilly terrain.
Highly recommend this property - we would certainly book again.
A fantastic, large family house in beautiful setting and grounds. Private indoor swimming pool is an added bonus. Plenty of room for large family or friends to have own space. High quality furnishings and decor. Can highly recommend and have been visiting for the past five years.
Brilliant Accomodation. Great location. Perfect amenities.
Everything was good about this property. If there is anything that could be bettered, it is the internet speed. It was a brilliant holiday. Canât say anything negative about the property or any of the other the facilities. I guess internet speed could be tricky in a rural location, so totally acceptable.
The Pool was the great attraction. The house was rather like 2 houses joined together with a multi level, multi tripping central joining area. (We were warned, but it still caught us out). The kitchen was well equipped with lots of fridge/freezer space. The pool itself was very good and a fair size and this was the saving grace for our less sunny week. The surrounds were not so well cleaned and it was a pity not to be able to open their patio doors. The nearby shower was very useful.
One end of the house appeared to have nice new carpets. The other end had older carpets with a slight musty smell. The large lounge had a good sized TV.
We were our entire family - 3 generations with us grandparents, our 2 children and their spouses and 4 grandchildren ages 1-5. The beds would have been better for us with another double split as 2 singles. The suggestion that we might have to pay extra to the cleaner for the use of a cot/high chair was rather surprising when you are paying ÂŁ3000 for one week.
The house is fronted by the gravel drive which requires careful manoeuvring, and then there is the large multilevel garden and BBQ area removed from the house. We prefer to be able to exit a house directly onto a garden.
All in all the pool was the great plus point and the house worked well for us.
The owner responded quickly and pleasantly to us.
A nice spacious house great for children with games room, a big garden and the indoor swimming pool which was a highlight. Good communication with our hosts. Everything was as described and spotlessly clean when we arrived which is impressive considering its size! Thank you - we look forward to visiting again.
Three generations comfortably accommodated in slightly quirky and rambling house in lovely quiet spot with a spacious garden . The indoor pool was very much enjoyed by everyone
We are a professional couple with adult children. We are happy to share what is essentially a family home retained for holidays and retreat with other families who will care for it as we do whilst enjoying its facilities and splendid location.
This is our own house bought 10years ago for family visits and has been decorated and furnished with that in mind. We are pleased to share it with careful families who will enjoy its quiet ,beautiful setting and the many delights of the South Hams area. We simply fell in love with Totnes and this part of Devon and then found Western Waters with its generous sunny space, lovely gardens and indoor swimming pool. It is very private and yet most amenities are a short car ride away. We would be happy to pass on tips for restaurants, days out, fishing spots and boat hire locations
Really private and self contained the house is looks out over open countryside and has sole use of a large indoor pool and extensive gardens and paddock. It is linked to another property at the rear but to functions like a fully detached house.
