Super nice hosts, very private and tranquil location and property with everything you need. Pictures do not do this place justice, positively. As pointed out, the road from the Deia carretera is very narrow with some 20+ hairpin turns, not for the inexperienced car driver
The house was located beautifully close to the ocean with a beautiful outdoor kitchen. The only downside was that it was not possible for us to drive the path to the house since our car was rather big. Therefore we had to carry our luggage to the house.
The house is equipped with all necessary appliances.
The communication with miguel was very easy and he was very helpful.
Dont forget your mosquito repellent.
This property would have been stunning 10 or 20 years ago, but sadly is falling into a state of disrepair, whch made it a difficult place to be in October. The garden is very overgrown, obscuring the view of the ocean almost entirely along the terrace. One of the main problems is a giant fig tree in the nextdoor garden, which blocks all the light. You can still see the ocean from the top bedroom, over the top of the fig tree. Many spiny centipedes needed removing from the house, and from anything we accidentally left on the floor. There isn't enough furniture in the house â living area has two small and mucky armchairs, and four garden furniture chairs, plus a small circular table. More plastic garden furniture chairs and a huge table outside.
Plates, serving dishes and utensils were dirty; bbq griddles and tools were dirty, all needed washing before we could use. Kitchen cupboards etc sticky to touch. House smelt of smoke from uncleaned log burner + damp. Bathrooms seemed cleaner, but everything dusty & lots of leaves/debris had blown in.
The coast path to Deia is next to the house which is a lovely walk. The road down to the house is crumbling, overgrown, and often terrifying, we were warned in advance and managed it, but the hire car was scratched to bits. We began parking next to the restaurant Bens D'Avall instead (uses a proper road down), crossing the dry stream using the steps for hikers, to join the lane, and walking the last 200 m or so.
Beautiful property with plenty of space and special features like an outdoor kitchen. House is nestled in the rocky cliffs with a steep walk down to the neighborhood swimming hole. Close to the town of Soller with great restaurants and shopping. Perfect spot to watch sunsets over the Mediterranean from the upstairs master suite.
We enjoyed this home's proximity to the local beach, hikes, the ocean views, the outside shaded/cooking areas, the small pool, and the nearby towns. We had some wonderful meals in Soller and relaxed at the surrounding sandy and rocky beaches. The sunsets from the property are breathtaking. WiFi was very functional but limited in reach and bandwidth. The upstairs master bedroom and bath were incredible with a far-reaching balcony view over the tree tops. This property had everything we needed and was hard to leave for excursions because it was so nice to be at. We hope that in the future the owners add more comfortable furniture to the common areas, but overall really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.
We spend 5 relaxing days in this nice house. The view from the house and the terrace is fantastic. The main thing that could be better about the house would be if it was equipped with air conditioning as it gets very hot during the summer. The view could be improved even further if some of the big trees in front of the house would be trimmed. The access to the house is a bit complicated if one wants to drive all the way to the house, but the nearby parking via a different road is a good compromise. Despite these things we would come back another time.
Beautiful location, finca was perfect. Well equipped and comfortable.
Exactly as described on the website. Spectacular views and when it wasnât too windy the bay was perfect for swimming & snorkelling. My husband and I did a few beautiful cycles from the finca. Our 4 children chilled virtually the whole week. They would have gone hungry however if we hadnât had the car! Also we arenât very used to the heat so found sleeping at night tricky as there was no fans or air con. This wasnât a surprise to me though! I would go back in a heartbeat ...... perfect!
Miguel was very helpful and on hand if we needed. Thanks !
We had an amazing stay in Miguel's house!
We can absolutely recommend it (but not with small children, due to the Location on the hill). Nice place also to swim and sun bath down on the beach (rocks), but absolutely private and quite with wild goats observing you sometimes and beautiful views into nature.
However, better park on the restaurant's parking place and walk the last few meters ;-)
Well equiped kitchen, beautiful terrace.
Also the host is very kind and speaks perfect english.
Thank you Miguel!
In every way this place is exactly as described. It is a place for quiet and privacy on a remote, slightly difficult to get to, private road. There is a rocky private cove and the views are as pictured and even more. The Villa is located between Soller and Deia on one of the most beautiful drives I've ever seen. I preferred the private cliff like beach of Calle Deia but the sand beach of Porte de Soller was a great visit also. I could have just sat in our private cove every day and been very happy ! Both Soller (different than the port) and Deia have amazing places to eat. If you go to a cafe in Deia near the end of the town playing classic rock and blues loudly with a front patio, Manny is the owner - tell him Laura and Mikala say HI!
For hikers - the trail along the coast which is quite beautiful runs right through the private road to Deia and the other direction to the port of Soller, so its an incredible addition to staying here. There is also Kyak rentals , hiking and rock climbing instruction in town.
The Villa itself is beautiful with all the essentials. It is not over the top - very modest in decor, modest beds. What's nice is that all bedrooms have beautiful views even though the upstairs master suite has the most room and light. As there is no wifi and limited service I would suggest downloading movies ahead of time, books, games and music if you plan to stay in. You will need to shop for essentials when you arrive so its best to plan ahead and do that before you get to the villa. There are markets in the town of Soller before you get to the Villa and in Deia past the Villa.
The kitchen has all the tools you will need for a great meal and the outside cooking is such a great , fun plus. We used the plunge pool just the last day when the seas were too rough to go in and it was a pleasure, especially with a Cava in hand :)
Overall this place, the water, the view is truly magical. A very special memory. I would have stayed longer if I could. We will definitely be back.
The location of the house is great with spectacular views from the terrace and bedrooms. If the sea is calm you can go bathing directly at the small bay down the road (50 mtrs).
The house is located down at the bottom of a steep coastline with a narrow winding road down to the house. If you want to park directly at the house you need a car that is not bigger than a VW Golf. We rented a Zafira and parked it on a parallel road which is a lot wider and easier to drive than the direct road to the house and from there it is only a 2 minute walk to the house. We had a very good time and would love to go back some day.
