Casa Mihrab est une belle maison de ville de quatre étages restaurée avec amour située à moins de 3 minutes du centre du village avec une vue imprenable sur le château, les montagnes, Gibraltar et l'Afrique. C'est une maison joliment meublée avec Wifi et TV satellite (anglais) pour rester connecté si vous le souhaitez, tout en offrant une véritable évasion et une saveur de l'Espagne avec des poutres d'origine, un feu ouvert, des murs blanchis à la chaux, des sols en pierre apparente et en terre cuite. Le dernier étage, une terrasse isolée est idéal pour bronzer et manger en plein air, et la petite terrasse couverte est parfaite pour un petit-déjeuner tranquille. La cuisine / salle à manger ouverte est bien équipée pour le cuisinier passionné et il y a un barbecue, mais une variété de restaurants, cafés et bars à tapas sont tous disponibles à quelques pas pour assurer un séjour tranquille. Beaucoup de produits frais locaux disponibles, y compris un boucher fantastique. Le salon est spacieux avec des portes entièrement en retrait ouvrant sur la terrasse au dernier étage avec toutes les vues. Les chambres sont au rez-de-chaussée et au rez-de-chaussée, face à l'arrière de la propriété, chacune avec balcon Juliette et salle de bain attenante ou à côté. Les draps égyptiens de qualité offrent un degré de confort supplémentaire à nos clients. Logement spacieux idéal pour un couple ou jusqu'à 4 personnes. Un parking gratuit est disponible immédiatement à l'extérieur de la maison ou à quelques minutes à pied.

Gaucin is a lovely village & our stay at Casa Mihrab (Charming House) was great. It was very central with lots of restaurants nearby. The views from the terrace were spectacular. We would certainly stay again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. The views and location were the main things that led us to buy the house and they still never disappoint. The village is still very welcoming and authentic even as the great range of restaurants and tapas bars gets better all the time.

Lovely property with wonderful views

The property was clean and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. The house is nicely decorated and the views from the balcony and sun terrace were outstanding. There are 4 floors in the house so would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues, otherwise I cannot praise Casa Mihrab highly enough. We had a lovely stay in Gaucin.

Lovely house in mountain village

The house is very nice, well equipped and stocked. Check-in was smooth. Gaucín was still quiet - pre-season. It has all you need. We did a few trips and nice walks. Thank you!

Beautiful Gaucin

We enjoyed our stay in this unique house. Gaucin is a beautiful, friendly and peaceful village. The views over the valley are stunning. The kitchen has a lot of the basics many other properties do not have - spices, oils, teas, tinfoil, etc., which we appreciated. Be prepared for several flights of stairs - good exercise after eating out in the lovely restaurants! We would definitely visit again.

Lovely house with great views

Well presented and well-equipped. The (soft) double bed and balcony views from the top floor were standouts in this accommodation. This property extends to 4 levels so a lot of steps involved. Great week, would come back again. Gaucin is a great destination for a relaxing holiday.

As good as we remembered

We had fond memories of our previous stay in this lovely house a few years ago and I'm glad to say our return visit in August was just as enjoyable. The house is perfectly located on the lower part of the village for an easy stroll to the shops, restaurants and bars and car parking is easier than for houses located further into the village. The house is spotlessly clean and furnished with everything you need for your comfort. Throw in the wonderful view over the campo from the terrace and you've got one helluva holiday experience.

Fabulous

We ended up staying here at short notice when our previous property was cancelled at the last minute. We are all so delighted that this happened, what a find!! Great little property, lovely terrace and a delightfully cool bedroom to sleep in during the hot July nights. We are returning to the Casa Mihrab next year and frankly for years to come!!

We loved the village of Gaucin and this house!

The previous reviews are accurate....the house is spacious, nicely furnished, a perfect place to relax and read after touring or hiking. I can't say enough for the views from the terrace....breathtaking. As we sat out the first night, gazing at the stars, we could hear goats or sheep in the hills around us. Linens are excellent quality and the house was spotless. Fun little resturants and bars around the town. This is a get away from it all kind of place. We loved it.

lovely traditional spanish house in a fantastic location.

We have recently returned from this lovely house in Gaucin and would recommend it, very well situated in the village with wonderful views from the roof terrace. We had a very relaxing week, enjoyed reading several books from the great selection on the first floor, there are lots of little bars and restaurants very close by and we enjoyed eating out at Azulete in the square and el at'ico just along from the house. The house has four floors and lots of character, our favourite floor was the top floor on which we spent many an evening enjoying a glass of wine enjoying the view and listening to the swallows and swifts as they swooped and dived across the terrace. Our least favourite part of the house was the basement which is where we slept, it was very clean and had a great bathroom and was very cool however it had a damp/ musty smell and on the first night I actually thought the bed was damp (it was not) The room improved as the week went on, we continually left the windows open and let the air circulate and by the end of the week the smell had gone. Perhaps the house had not been occupied before our stay. We have stayed many times in the village over the years, always choosing somewhere different to rent and would recommend this property, it is a great base in which to stay and enjoy the beautiful countryside, it is within easy reach of Ronda, the coast and many pueblos blancos.

Lovely Gaucin House

We stayed here in the week leading up to Easter. The house is located in the centre of Gaucin a few minutes walk from all the bars and restaurants including a bar that provides free WiFi just 50m down the road. The house is arranged over four floors with a lovely bright and airy lounge on the top floor opening via sliding glass doors onto a roof terrace with fantastic views over Gaucin and off towards the Rock of Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast. It was lovely sitting here watching the swifts and eagles fly overhead. The house is furnished and designed in a traditional style and is very well looked after and clean, there are a good supply of magazines and books as well as local information. Gaucin is lovely, full of history and character and plenty of small tapas bars and restaurants to choose from, almost every winding street seems to reveal a couple that you won't have spotted before. There are numerous walks in the local area and a climb up to the castle is recommended. Further afield you are 90 minutes from Malaga and its airport and we travelled to Ronda in less than 45 minutes as well as Tarifa and the nearby Roman ruins in the south. Seville and the other highlights of Andalusia are achievable in a day or for a stop over if you want to take more time. Booking was straight forward and friendly and the guy who met us to give us a key and house tour was very friendly and helpful with useful local knowledge on where to eat etc. It is worth noting that the open staircases would not make this property suitable for anyone with very young children or mobility issues but for anyone else I can recommend Casa Mihrab without hesitation. We'll be back!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and found many of the things we love about our house. Gaucin is for us a special place, with a relaxed pace of life and still wonderfully Spanish in character. It 's position is beautiful and dramatic and you can access the wonderful historic cities of Andalucia with ease. Where else can you get to both the Atlantic and Mediterranean and have a view of the Rif Mountains in Morrocco as part of your daily outlook! We hope to welcome you back soon. SUPER MAISON AVEC TERRASSE AVEC VUE FANTASTIQUE

Maison très belle, atypique à plusieurs étages, avec tout les équipements nécessaires, avec pièces spacieuses, belles chambres, se terminant en apothéose avec un magnifique salon au dernier étage où l'on peut lire, écouter de la musique, avec une super terrasse (nous y avons souvent dîné) avec une vue époustouflante sur Gaucín (adorable village blanc Andalous à flanc de montagne en étages, avec tout ce qu'il faut pour passer de bonnes vacances, Bars, Restaurants, Magasins,...), El Peñon de Gibraltar et les montagnes du Rif et l'Atlas que nous voyions très bien les soirs clairs. Seul bémol la propreté pas au rendez-vous, ménage approximatif, poêles très grasses, poussière partout et brosses de toilettes inutilisables (très souillées). A part ce souci, nous avons adoré notre séjour dans la maison de Jennie et Mark.

Charming, old world house on 4 floors. Furnished tastefully with North African, Indian and Spanish pieces. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with equipment and food extras. Balconies, particularly the one on the top floor, provide a sweeping view of local mountains, the Strait, Gibraltar, and Atlas mountains in the distance. Comfortable furniture, super-clean, and a relaxing space. Location within the village but away from noisy establishments was perfect. A small suggestion would be to provide written instructions near the induction stove, which was tricky to operate, despite our familiarity with those types of cooktops. A larger bed (180 cm) for a couple would be nice, although using the two twin beds was quite workable, and they were comfortable for sleeping. Special thanks to the manager Esther who quickly helped us out when we mispaced the house key. Our best accommodation in Andalucía!

Casa Mihrab is an absolute gem in an idyllic location.

Casa Mihrab has everything you need for the perfect relaxing holiday. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the basement bedroom had the most calming spa like feel, a lovely place to rest after a hot day. The icing on the cake for us was the upstairs living area looking out to the Village and Mountains. I curled up on the comfy sofa looking out at the breathtaking scenery listening to Flamenco, bliss! A perfect delightful village house.

Lovely place to stay - highly recommended

What a cosy little house - perfect for a truly relaxing holiday! The house is ideally located, in the centre of a beautiful "white village" in the Andaldusian mountains. Restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance and the kitchen is well-equipped, so you can decide between eating in and going out. Sitting on the roof terrace, sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the fantastic views was heavenly. What we loved most was that the village did not feel touristy at all, despite being only 30 minutes from the coast. We loved every minute of our stay. HIghly recommended!

Enjoy Gaucin

It is a very pleasant house! You really live in the center of the beautiful village. The beds are good and the house is cosy, well furnitured. Beautiful view from the terrace upstairs. We were very happy in the house and we did have a beautiful week there! One little thing is that we would like to have the possibility to make some shade on the upper terrace.

The house is adequately furnished but as it is not airconditioned, it gets warm at night and there are many mosquitoes and insects. We get quite few nasty bites that cause itch that last couple of days. Thus be sure to bring mosquitoes repellent or oilment when you are staying during the summer.

así que me alegro de que la casa le haya parecido una buena relación calidad-precio.La información de la casa en Homeaway muestra claramente que solo tenemos televisión en inglés y no microondas.

Typically Spanish Home

We recently had a fantastic holiday at Casa Mirab! It is a beautiful home that is well equipped with a cosy and homely feel about it. The interior is typically Spanish and the views from the roof terrace are to die for! We found that the view changed every day or we would notice something different to look at. It is truly mesmerising. The upper sitting room was where we spend the most time, it had a lovely cosy feel about it. The location is fantastic as it is very central and local amenities are only a walk away. Would definitely recommend this property! A wonderful place to stay.
