Bellingrath est nommé en l'honneur des jardins de Bellingrath situés à travers Mobile Bay juste au sud de la ville de Mobile. Les jardins de Bellingrath ont été développés par l'un des premiers aficionados de la côte du Golfe, M. Walter Bellingrath. M. Bellingrath et sa femme, qui est devenue riche grâce à son entreprise de distribution de Coca Cola, ont mis leur passion dans leurs jardins bien-aimés. À sa mort en 1955, le jardin et la maison ont été offerts à la Fondation Bellingrath-Morse et ont été ouverts au public. Aujourd'hui, vous pouvez voir l'émerveillement et la beauté des jardins de Bellingrath.

Excellent Beach Access

The walk to the beach was short and easy. The house was clean. Parking was easy with our 3 vehicles. The driveway isn’t paved so expect sand when coming and going. Overall we had a great time. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house with beach view

Place is amazing. Plenty of room for all of us. We had 7. Ocean is out the back door. Best thing about our trip was the dolphins playing and swimming by every day. Definitely recommend this place if your looking for a family time away from the crowded beaches

Great week at the Beach!

We had a great time at this beach house. It was well stocked with everything that we needed from the kuerig to the grill! Quiet street and fantastic views! The only improvement would be some higher outdoor chairs to make seeing the view a little easier. The chairs there were low so it was hard to see over the railing. We will be back! Thanks for a relaxing time

Sits right on the beach.

Step off the deck and you are ON the beach. No walking across any streets or through other properties. Nope. You're already there. Really enjoyed the very large deck which provided a perfect view of the water, sand, and sunrise/sunsets. Would definitely book this house again.

Great place for short-term

The house was fantastic for the 2 nights we stayed. Could use some house numbers on the exterior so we could be sure we were at the correct house apon arrival. The beds were extra firm and small, so by night 2 my back and shoulders were in a lot of pain. I would not have been able to endure another night. The beds were the only thing I would have changed.

Good times!

Had a great time, beach was awesome. The house was a bit rough, but that didn't detract from the overall experience. It definitely does not sleep 14, 10 at best. That black futon needs to be trashed. But regardless, everything functioned properly.

Annual Extended Family Beach Vacay

The house was the Perfect location in Fort Morgan for our family trip. The private beach access we had from the house was amazing. House had everything we could need for the one week stay. The kitchen was well equipped with all needs for cooking and preparing meals. There is a charcoal grill that is provided in the front of the home as well. We did have a small issue with the smoke detector activating a few times while using the dryer. Not a huge deal, But kind of an annoyance. Did swap out the battery thinking it was that. But we deternined it must be fromt the dryer being in use, which was right near the detector. Overall a great stay and would recommend this property to someone else

Beach in the back yard

Definitely enjoyed the beach being only STEPS AWAY (closer to the fort Morgan side even if it says Gulf shores). Enjoyed the convince. Private , more family oriented area . Not far from our fav. Lil quaint Restaurant Sassy Bass(8mins). Further down you have Tacky Jacks. SassyBass pizza & fort Morgan pizza (10-15mins drive). Stores are further , be sure to pack what you need . DG and other small mart are maybe 10-15 away. The house is good w all the essentials. Seatings for everyone. Enough beds (6 adults & 5 kids)Coffee makers , microwave , pots & pans, crockpot. Need sharper knives & Not so flexible spatulas. The sinks in bathroom have short faucet & small knobs. Hard to twist for kids and big hand ppl 😅.

Not what I was expecting....

The location is the only good thing about this house!! You are literally steps away from the beach. The house needs major updating... The tin on the roof is partly missing and rusted. The front door didn't work I called on Monday needless to say the door didn't get fixed until Thursday. There is nothing nice about the inside of the house. The air conditioner vents leaked, the washer made a horrible noise, and the dishwasher was broke. The half baths inside the bedrooms were tiny! The bathrooms were outdated. Beds were uncomfortable I could go on and on.......If you are looking for a nice beach house this is not your house!

My family and I arrived during an unprecedented cold front. The pipes to the home we had rented had burst moments before we arrived. We were quickly settled in to a new home. Wonderful people to work with. Very attentive. My family had the best Christmas ever!

Great if your looking for privacy

The house was located on fort Morgan which is a lot less crowded then other beaches and that we liked. However you do loose the convinces of stores and restaurants being close by. The house fit our needs however wasn’t really as described there was no king bed and ALL the beds were squeaky/not that comfy. The pillows were great on our bed though for the price I thought the mattresses could have been better. Byron was quick to bring us a tv that worked and was very friendly. The coffee pot needs to be replaced it doesn’t come on right away but having a keurig as back up was great.

Bellingrath on the beach

We stayed at Bellingrath on Fort Morgan beach for a week in mid-August. The location was perfect for us. The large deck and private beach access was great. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the house easily accommodated our family of eight plus my daughters dogs. My sons- in-law and grandson enjoyed fishing just beyond a sand bar and we all enjoyed swimming in the surf and walking on the beach. During the pandemic, we needed a vacation where we could enjoy the beach but avoid busy public beaches. This was just right!

Simple but sufficient

Stayed at Bellingrath for thanksgiving week with 6 adults and 2 children. House is very roomy, beds slept well, kitchen stocked with basics adequate for cooking Thanksgiving dinner for our group. Best part? Walk down the steps from the deck and onto the beach. Great little sandy area for kids to play just off the deck and just a few more steps to the water. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets even though there are several gas/oil rigs. WiFi worked well for us and having a washer and dryer means no laundry when I get home. Bonus Blue Angels practice gave us own air show on a couple of days. We enjoyed our stay very much and we plan to stay again.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the location and VIEW!!

The house worked out perfectly for our family of 10. Plenty of room. The only thing I would add is that there be a TV in each room. The little's were not happy at night but that is just our preference. Only thing we found dirty was the extra bedding in the laundry area was covered in dust. I had brought sheets so no BIG issue for us. We will for sure return again. WE TRULY LOVED OUR STAY!!!

Very Happy!!

Very clean..had all the items in the kitchen needed for cooking. Beautiful ocean view!! Will definitely be going back..Harris properties was quick to respond for all information..they also text to make sure we arrived safe!! Great family vacation!!

Lots of memories made!

We really enjoyed this beach house, especially the proximity to the water (just a few yards of sand from door to shore). Our toddler quadruplets did find every child-safty issue (easily accessed plugs, fun cabinets and drawers, picture on the wall just hanging one nail under the frame lip, wide porch rails). None of those things would matter with older kids, but it kept us scrambling. This was our first family vacation and it was wonderful watching/chasing our kids (and dogs) as they discovered the fun of the beach. Thank you for this wonderful home and the fantastic memories.
