The property was perfect. I don't think I've ever been to a rental property that has lived up to the listing photos like this one did. It had more than enough space and anything you could need for time away

Everything you would want in a vacation home

What a fantastic property in a beautiful location. The house is beautifully kept with plenty of amenities like a hot tub, movie theatre, pool table, surround sound throughout the entire house, and then some. We took our two boats with us, having the dock enabled us to use them the whole weekend. The owner, Steve, was a really nice guy also, he was attentive and made sure everything was in perfect working order for us. 10/10 would rent again!

Great rental for a large group

The property was exactly what I was hoping it would be. A couple notes for the homeowner and future renters. The upstairs guest bathroom shower was not operable when we arrived so no none used this shower. The tub worked but not the shower head. If your not used to a Webber genesis grill you will have a hard time getting it to start (I own the same grill) and it was out of propane. Other then that the house and location were outstanding. 5 stars all around.

Great property, almost great overall

The location, size, and layout of the house: spectacular. Long dock on a beautiful lake, hot tub, game and movie rooms, beautiful views over the lake... Exactly what the price implies. So too the attention of the owner (Steve) and key property manager (Robert). Maintenance and cleanliness? Not so much, and not what we expect for this cost. Also, the house was not quite ready for guests. Various examples: - The grill was flaring badly outside the enclosure; it was a fire hazard. To their credit, they bought a new grill immediately, but two of our family members had to help unload and deliver it. It should have been identified before we arrived, and not what we expect to spend time doing as guests. - The water trampoline was out of the water. We asked daily to have it put in. We were told it had holes and they were waiting for patch material. I would like to have known in advance. Eventually, we were told it was back-ordered and it wouldn't get installed. - My family likes to cook. Doing so, we discovered various items missing, like plastic storage containers, a cutting board, a griddle, a non-stick pan, serving spoons and forks, etc.. Again to their credit, it was delivered the next day but should have been identified and addressed before we arrived. - 10 lightbulbs, most on the main floor, needed to be replaced; nailheads protruding on many steps made it a risk getting to/from the dock; there was a private party 5 days before our arrival which had not been fully cleaned up... You get the picture. - Three bedrooms either didn't have a closet or had so much bedding, clothing, and personal items in them they were unusable. - They recently upgraded the WiFi, movie room TV, and sound system throughout the interior and exterior. All terrific. Unfortunately, it highlighted the age and condition of the remaining TVs (old and bad), and instructions would have been helpful. - Certain issues come with travel and are difficult to control, like ants in the kitchen, a bed frame that partly collapsed, and a wine fridge that overheated, but unfortunately reinforced the bigger picture. Summary: We loved the location and amenities but wouldn't rent it again.

Family Celebration

My family gathered for a Graduation Celebration at the lake. WHAT A VIEW!!! The house was amazing....we had a very large group and it accommodated all of us with lots of room to spare. We had between 16-20 guests stay throughout the week. The house came with everything like it says....plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, linens, etc. If we ever needed anything the owner would send someone in less than 5 minutes to address our needs. We rented a boat for the week which was fantastic. the steps down to the dock are not as bad as we thought. We used the hot tub every day. We enjoyed the fire pit at night. Our vacation was simply fantastic.....my 18 year old daughter said..."best week of her life"! Alton Bay is a great location....much easier commute for those that live south. Highly recommend this house!

50th birthday girls getaway

9 ladies spent a wonderful weekend in this amazing property. The only time we left the house was to hike Mt Major. The helpful caretaker gave us a secret parking spot there to avoid the crowds. The amenities and comfortable surroundings were all we needed for a fun filled weekend. No need to go out to dinner with a kitchen like this. Great place to hunker down with friends or family at anytime of the year.

Look Elsewhere

This property has the potential to be fantastic, however, it is poorly maintained. While staying the first night, the heat went out and we woke up freezing. The water pressure is so bad that only the basement shower was usable, and we had to make sure that only one person used the shower at the same time. We were told that there would be half a cord of firewood, but there were maybe only 20 logs when we arrived. The pool table was totally unusable as the pieces of slate that made the table did not line up. Half of the jets in the hot tub did not work. The dinning room table was wobbly and the chairs were ripped. There were no towels in our rooms upon arrival, some bathrooms did not have hand soap. Our property owner seemed like a nice enough guy, but offered no concessions upon our complaints. It's a totally shame because with some TLC, this could be a great place. Very disappointed.

Awesome weekend getaway

Amazing property, right on the lake. House was beautiful and spacious. Had more than enough room to accommodate everyone. Game room and movie theater down stairs were perfect for Friday night when it rained. Property owner was easy to get a hold of and answered all of my questions. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Awesome Place

We had 3 families of 4 stay together over a weekend and we all had a fantastic time. The house had plenty of space for all of us with kids running around during the day and sleeping well at night. The setting is gorgeous on the lake - elevated a bit so the view is spectacular but not too many stairs down to the water for water access. The house has a wonderful open concept on the main floor, a great lower level for all ages with pool, ping pong, a movie theater, and a bar area, and the upstairs is spread out with 5 of the 6 bedrooms (the 6th is on the lower level). We would absolutely recommend the house and stay again.

Property was perfect for the family who was together to celebrate our mom’s 70th birthday.

The property was great for all ages. The kids loved the hot tub, playing pool, and watching movies in the home theater. The adults enjoyed time together on the open kitchen and living space, and we all slept comfortably in the perfect number of bedrooms.

Wonderful sibling and spouse weekend

There house has everything you could want. Dining table for all, large gathering places to laugh and visit both inside and out. There were many quiet corners to have some serious discussions or hide away with a good book.

The most perfect place for vacation

This place was perfect for our group of 16. I'm grateful we were able to stay here. The house was spacious and comfortable, plenty of room for everyone to stay. It had everything we could needed. The view of the lake is breathtaking from every corner of the house.
