We could not have loved it more. Everything was clean and roomy and comfy and the location is the best with cool stuff to walk to on one side and a peaceful stretch of the beach on the other. We loved it 10/10

Well appointed beautiful home located along the bay. The home has many amenities that make your stay comfortable and the harbor offers incredible views. While there, we spotted a seal playing! We appreciated how close it was to a store and early morning coffee shop - with jet lag and a wedding to attend there was little time in the beginning to find what we needed through exploring.

Great place to stay for families!

I stayed here with my friends and family over the holiday weekend and we had a great time! Perfect location and great for all age groups. You also have everything you need within walking distance! The hosts are very kind and accommodating and respond right away. We will for sure be back!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Being right on the water was lovely! Saw lots of wildlife out there. The property was tidy and spacious! Suited us just fine. The unique thing about this property is that it is tucked behind a local market where you can get produce and the market across the way has everything else for staple snacks and supplies. We also had easy access to hiking trails. The bridge did not bother me and could barely hear it from inside! I was also able to communicate with the owner easily about any questions that came up. They were very responsive!I would definitely consider booking here again.

Great place to stay

The host was very helpful. The property is right on the water. It’s a beautiful location right near the bridge. We used the kayaks and had a great time. I would recommend this VRBO.

Great property

Perfect location for all local events and the property managers were so accommodating and prompt. The view is wonderful as is the sitting room and beds. Slept great! Will come again.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient being next to the marked and close to all the destinations we required. It was also nice to be able to beach comb and relax in the evening by the water. The host was quick to respond with questions.

Fun place and great location for what we needed

We loved staying here while in town for a wedding. House was clean and inviting and communication with the property manager was easy and had quick responses to questions. Only downfall was that the employees at the near by market were a bit nosey and were always watching us

Beach front property

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and conveniently located. At the beach we saw all kinds of marine life. Starfish, crabs,ssea lions and other interesting shells. The host was friendly and always available. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation for my family and I. We will return someday.

We had an absolute blast. Love the access to the beach. Parts of the beach house could use replacing or updating (I.e bathtub/ shower) but overall we had a great time and would come back again!

Very Nice House

The house had a very convenient market nearby. Our group really enjoyed the firepit and privacy the house provided. They had ample towels for everyone to use, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean.

Visiting Grandma in Gig Harbor

The home is decorated so nicely and the backyard view is amazing. The beds were really comfortable and the space was easy to be in, and we were a big group. The boys (adults) enjoyed having a fire in the firepit and watching the water! Kitchen is well supplied for cooking and dining. Need to bring your own spices/oil and shampoo.

Nice view and back yard. Sort of odd location.

This is an older home that appears to have been expanded. The kitchen is decent, the bedrooms are large, the bathrooms are old but functional. The back yard is very pleasant with a view of the Purdy bridge. The home is located behind a bar but we did not detect a noise or parking issue. The location is only 5-6 minutes to Albertsons/Costco/Target.

Place was a dream!

As a homeschooling family the nature and water animals were incredible. Nightly around 6pm you’ll see the sea lions swimming and popping their heads up. Around noon we walked down to the shore and seen sooo many starfish. It was so cool and such a fun learning experience for our kiddos. Definitely family friendly. Would totally recommend to anybody needing a getaway just outside of town.

Sweet Comfortable Beach House

Everything is very comfortable and clean. We stayed with our four children 3 months. 2, 4, and 6. They loved the beach and discovering all of the treasures. We were lucky to have an impressive firework show on the fourth, the neighbors are very friendly and the market behind the house has friendly staff and really good meat and produce. We had such a wonderful getaway from the city!

Best amenities!

We’ve stayed here twice a couple of years apart in the summer, and have loved our time here. For our second stay, we looked around at many properties in the area, and you won’t find a better location for a family in the price range. We wake up in the morning and kayak with the two kayaks provided for use while the tide is high and calm, and again in the evening as well as fish (although we didn’t catch anything). We explore the many hikes and restaurants in the surrounding area as well as take day trips to Point Defiance for the zoo or Olympic National Park or Poulsbo. There is so much to do in the Gig Harbor area! In the evenings, we often have a fire in the fire pit and make s’mores and watch the seals pop their heads up and see crabs walking by in the water below when the tide is high. If you live in a city and are used to some noise, the noise of the bridge or shopping center behind the property won’t bother you. We love to pop over to the Local Boys market behind the home to pick up fresh produce and other necessities. We’ve Door Dashed dinner a couple of times, and had no problem with the delivery people finding the home despite the pin on the map being a little off. Our kids love staying here, and we’ve made great family memories. Pack some water shoes to take full advantage of the backyard on the shoreline.

Perfect getaway!

This home was the perfect destination for our family! The house was perfectly clean and decorated, with all the basic supplies we needed. Cathy was honestly one of the best hosts I have ever dealt with. She got back to me right away with any questions I had and even made it possible for us to check in a day early with very little notice. The location was absolutely perfect! Plenty of fresh food options within steps of the front door, while also somehow feeling like our own private bay. Thank you so much for making our last summer getaway so wonderful. We look forward to many more summer getaways at your home. I only wish we could stay longer!

Thanksgiving in Gig Harbor

We were here during Thanksgiving, visiting my son and granddaughters. As such, we didn’t really spend a lot of time in the house. We were five adults, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The two bathrooms made life a lot easier. A couple of us enjoyed a morning coffee while watching the wildlife. There were eagles and an otter or two
and lots of birds. We took beach walks every morning and were enthralled with checking the tide! The house is decorated in a cute, beachy motif. Management was quick to respond to a question I had.

Previous reviews have not done this home justice, the interior is updated, very comfortable beds, spotless and clean. The owners are doing a wonderful job updating and helpful. The views and access to the beach are unique and special. Basically you have your own provate beach to watch fly fisherman in the distance, seals, eagles, and a variety of waterlife. This is a cute enclave with easy access to GH and Hw 16. Plus, Purdy Boys is nearby with the freshest fruit and a variety of healthy foods, Bridgeway Market carries some essentials and if you dont feel like cooking there is Dexters Burgers and a Thai place. Great place with a modern kitchen, (but bring your own spices/oils), and greater neighboring people.

Perfect little escape!

This property was perfect for our vacation. It was a bit of a drive to some of the places we wanted to see but we knew that going in. The high and low tides in the backyard are absolutely mesmerizing. We had a few seal friends visit almost every day. There are eagles to admire as they fly by. It was a warmer week there and each bedroom has a fan, which was very handy. The taco truck next door was amazing. Massimos may have been my favorite meal of the trip! Whether we spent they day out seeing sights or laying low, this was a great house. So much room, we didn't even go in the 3rd bedroom. Fresh flowers in the bedrooms and living room. Very nice touch.

Front funky back bliss

Driving into the location we wondered if it was in the small strip mall, but nestled behind is this renovated property. The beach decor is tasteful, charming, with a well furnished small kitchen with many tables to eat at, including one outside where you're facing the beautiful water, or having a fire. We came to find that the location touts excellent fishing and got to watch many fly fishers as well as people coming to look for oysters during low tide. We used the kayaks and had a really good time but be sure to watch the tides, it is strong at different times of the day! Honestly we didn't need to bring in as much food as we did, the little market across from the car port had fresh seafood, meat and a good range of fruit and veg! That would have saved us a lot of packing - buy there and save yourself the effort! The bridge you see in the photos is kind of busy, so if you're looking for super quiet and serene its maybe not that quiet, but looks neat at night with the cars passing, but it does take away from star gazing. All in all we really liked it, were very comfortable (family of 4), could have had more people easily, and the locals were friendly. While we kayaked (2 singles at property) we saw a seal hunting for fish and saw many of those jumping out of the water, found sand dollars, and looked into tidal pools.

Description of property completely fabricated.

Fails to mention the following: 1. property abuts a bridge with all night traffic. 2. The 'easy walk to amenities' does not mention that the property shares a PARKING LOT with a strip mall. 3.Less than 50' feet from the property, under the noisy bridge is where the town drunks seem to congregate for their morning drinking. 4. the amount of broken glass on the beach from broken beer bottles made a walk on the beach a risk for the kids. 5. literally 510' from the master bedroom window is a produce market. The use of a forklift every morning at 6 am with its engine noise, reversal beeping warning and the drift of diesel exhaust coming in the windows was miserable and not as described. 6. the diesel exhaust from the forklift would also set off the smoke alarm waking all of us. additionally there were these issues. 1 roll of toilet paper no garbage bags no bath soap in bathrooms no salt, pepper, coffee or any simple things for cooking. 4 beach towels in a house that sleeps 6 If any one of these items were made clear in the listing, no one would rent the place. They would just click the next listing. These facts were clearly omitted from the description to deceive the customer. We had terrible time beacuse of all the constant noise and smells - clearly NOT a restful place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEEK OUT OTHER OPTIONS!
