We consider ourselves the victims with your booking. Our team chose not to visit the unit to check the freezer, as your communications with us were aggressive from the outset. You expressed dissatisfaction that our cleaner did not provide a “Meet and Greet” for check-in and opened the entrance door for you. However, these details were clearly outlined in the Welcome Instructions, which you did not print or review, resulting in difficulty accessing the property.  We thought that this is the 3rd party booking as you have confirmed your welcome instruction saying you have all the details.  There was no questions to any of our instruction. For this reason, we requested VRBO customer service to manage all communication moving forward.During your stay, several items were damaged, and the property was left unsecured, with both the door unlocked and the key box open. This caused significant concern and dissatisfaction for our team regarding how the property was treated.We must remind you that you are responsible for your booking through VRBO direct Owner's booking where we do not offer Meet and Greet check in.  and for the damages incurred during your stay.

Our villa offers one of the lowest prices for a 3-bedroom, 3-bath accommodation with beautiful views in Kauai, especially in the North Shore area. Our records show that our communication during your stay was responded to within 35 minutes, with only one reply taking 4 hours. We have a very large ice maker in the freezer, and our large fridge is relatively new, only 3 years old. Each bedroom has large ceiling fans, and in the living room. We provide two small desk fans in the villa that guests can move to different rooms as needed. These fans are not listed as amenities; they are offered as a gesture of hospitality to ensure guests' comfort and safety. Most houses and units in VOK do not have A/C, as we are located on the golf course and enjoy full winds throughout the area. We apologize for not providing an extra desk fan for the upstairs bedroom. We hope that you stay with us again.

Thank you for your review. We were disappointed with your stay and the tone of communication, as we always aim to provide a positive experience for our guests. Regarding your concerns, you reported finding hair and sand on the bed the day after your first night; however, our cleaner confirmed that all linens were freshly replaced prior to your arrival. Our team also felt uncomfortable returning to the unit after multiple requests. Wi-Fi details were shared prior to arrival, and for security reasons, we do not resend them via chat. Just like hotels, they do not provide Wi-Fi passwords via email or chat for security reasons. As noted before check-in, there was a same-day turnover, so while all towels were freshly laundered, some may have still been finishing in the dryer. We apologize that the jacuzzi was temporarily out of service due to an unforeseen issue, which was resolved shortly after your departure. As stated in our listing, the property is on a small island, where occasional delays may occur when parts must be delivered from the mainland. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to improve.

You informed us about damages to the entrance door and claimed there were no beach towels in the unit. However, when our cleaning company arrived the next morning, they found no damage to the door and confirmed there were six beach towels in the unit. We asked you to stay in the unit to meet the cleaners, but you chose to leave just before they arrived at 9 a.m. Later, at 9:30 a.m., you returned and accused the cleaning company of lying about the beach towels. You also claimed there was someone else's underwear next to the towels. Although VRBO contacted your group to evacuate the villa, we accepted to allow you to stay until the end of your booking.
