I stayed with my 14 and 19 yr old daughters for a weekend get away. We live in Tampa. It was clean. Perfect bc itâs towards the end of the beach strip but just. Short walk to pier 60 where all the activity is; plus Frenchyâs is the perfect dining spot. The hotel is small, quiet, and perfect.
I went to Clearwater (From Tennessee) to have a work remote get-away. My only disappointment for Frenchy's was closed for remodel. Obviously not the property's problem. WONDERFUL unit. WONDERFUL location. I loved it!!!!
The agency that handles the rental failed to include in the listing the following. Giant bucket- trucks would be against my window from 10:pm nightly, drilling, and chain sawing until 5:30am for two nights. Of course they said there might be a power outage on one night. This was a terrible experience and congratulations to the host it was our first bad VRBO experience ever. I called the host after hours and left a voice message and oddly no call back. This was a terrible experience and we spend a lot of money with travel sites, but rest assured I will never do business with this host again.
I recently stayed at Clearwater Beach Suites, booked through VRBO and managed by Belloise Realty, and I must express my deep disappointment with the overall experience. The numerous issues I encountered during my stay, coupled with the unjust charges imposed by the host, have left me with a negative impression of this property.
First and foremost, the quality of the bedding was far from satisfactory. The mattress was uncomfortable and had a plastic mattress protector that caused excessive sweating. Additionally, the pillows provided were also uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a restful night's sleep. It was evident that the mattress was worn out, as it felt lopsided and the edges were noticeably worn.
Furthermore, the condition of the room was subpar. The bedroom had two windows that were unable to open, with one even having broken glass. This lack of ventilation was both inconvenient and concerning for safety reasons. In the bathroom, both the jetted tub and the sink lacked stoppers, making it inconvenient to use them properly. To make matters worse, when attempting to test the jets in the tub, black sediment blew out, indicating a lack of proper maintenance and cleanliness.
The kitchen area was also in disrepair. The kitchen window had a broken pane of glass and was unable to open, limiting fresh air circulation. Additionally, the kitchen door did not function properly,
This place was exceptionally clean, a very nice unit. The Beach & unit/ public parking was great, an ez stroll to the beach! IMMEDIATELY upon entry, easily got in the front secure gate, but the LOCK AND DOORKNOB FIXTURE was OBVIOUSLY BUSTED! ASKEW AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE!! NO WAY YOU COULD PUT THE CODE IN THAT DOOR TO GET INTO YOUR ROOM!! We accessed the DOOR KEY from another compartment but with the DOORKNOB TRULY HANGING OFF, the key entry wouldn't work either!! MANY THANKS to: THE GUESTS, who were swimming in the pool (a lovely area), who saw 3 Golden Girls struggling in the heat to get into their room. Several different GUESTS OFFERED HELP! About 30 mins. later, one determined lady guest got us in the room with THE KEY (the doorknob code still wouldn't work). We called Property Mngmt who said they would call maintenance. While awaiting maintenance, the cranky old lady who was to stay on the livingroom couch noticed the CEILING FAN in the Livingroom & the Unit's AIR COND. was NOT WORKING!! No temps displayed on the thermostat! We checked the control panel & saw no fuse was tripped. Still waiting over 1 hour. Finally maintenance arrived. He did not announce his arrival- rather I saw a guy come with tools while i was standing outside. He screwed in the doorknob & he just left! I chased him to the parking lot & knocked on his window. He said "Just use the code now- it works" IT DID NOT WORK! I told him about the fan & air cond. & he told me that is NOT an emergency- call prop. MGMNT"- & he drove away. WE WERE LEFT with a ONE KEY for 3 people entry door! ANOTHER GUEST-a young man came to our aid to look at the Door, Air Cond. & Ceiling Fan. NO WAY could he could fix the door! He fumbled with the Air Cond. & he too checked the fuses, then pulled off the thermostat plate. He messed w/ the batteries in there (2 AA's) & got our thermostat working! He recommended we go to the nearby convenience store & WE BUY NEW BATTERIES for the thermostat. He to get the Livingroom Ceiling Fan going, but that was impossible, like the doorknob. We later found an EXTRA BOX FAN in the bedroom closet. An employee next day told us they had reported that busted doorknob the day b-4- so why wasn't that fixed prior to our arrival? No Bueno!! And put a small smoking section "In the back of the patio area". It is NOT SAFE to smoke outside the gate at night!!! Too bad, cause the place is nice. $300+ total for a 4pm-10am stay and we lost a couple hours due to the door!
Great little location steps from beach with a fun restaurant next door. Overall unit was clean, updated and perfect for two people. The parking is iffy if you donât get a pass on location but since it wasnât a busy time we parked right on mandalay with the city pass provided in front of buildingâŠotherwise it was a block to the public lot. Just keep that in mind. We had an issue with wifi that was handled promptly. There were only two things that were minor issues, the housekeeping crew continuously left security gates to sidewalk open. The other was them loudly yelling back and forth as they went about their tasks while we (and others) were enjoying the pool. It wasnât the most relaxing with that going on. Weâd definitely stay here again if we ever return to Clearwater Beach.
Location was great, walking distant to everything. Looks just like the picture's. The parking was scary, we did get to park right on the property. But the night of checking in was scary. We arrived late at night. The code for the gate, then the door.
We come to the area about once or twice a year & LOVED the location of this condo when we booked it & the photos looked great! But when we arrived I didn't have the info for check-in, I made the mistake of thinking it was at 3 (like most places) but was actually 4. The email should come earlier so that it can be read and understood ahead of time. When we finally were able to get in, there was a huge bug to greet us in the bathroom - apparently these are common, and they were great about getting someone out to spray, but they didn't even take care of the huge bug! The pull out couch sheets were dirty, luckily we were able to find sheets tucked away... I took a shower & it leaked everywhere!! It needs fixing for sure!! Lights were flashing in the bathroom.. the laundry was not well labeled (we actually never found it). The photos make the place look much bigger than it actually is, cause it's tiny. Sand is a given at any beach place so that's to be expected. I wouldn't say this is the worst place we stayed at, but I wouldn't return either.
What a week in Clearwater Beach! The location is perfect and the room what exactly what my wife and I needed. We parked our car the first day and literally didnât move it until we left to come home. So many shops and restaurants within walking distance, not to mention the beach 100 yards away. Weâll be back!!
Close to beach, but also the business of the North Beach Neighborhood
We loved that we could walk right out to the beach and everything was close by. One drawback was that because of that it was a bit loud at night and the neon on the building next door and the parking lot to the restaurant behind us was bright and loud. We would look for a quieter place. Also, we had not received any communication about the check in process and didnât have codes to get into the security gates or our room. I had to call them when we got there.
Good stay. Only problem we had was they may tell you that it's possible to check in early but that is NOT the case. You will get a check in email at 4:01 and not a minute sooner. Parking is not close to the property, so be prepared to walk a few blocks.
Great location... very close to the beach and within quick walking distance of the many shops/restaurants on Mandalay. Pool is heated nicely and there is an outdoor shower to rinse off from the beach. No parking issues. Clean room and pool area. Nice gates securing the property (now with added material to prevent people from simply reaching through and opening it using the inside handle.)
This time it was just a quick one nighter with my wife. A few weeks ago we stayed with my two young girls. The queen size bed in that room was decent, but the king size mattress in this room is absolutely horrible. The A/C in this room was not working either, but that can happen. We didn't notice until late evening, and it was just cool enough outside to tolerate until reporting it in the morning.
Overall satisfied. Beach location is very crowded and busy. Although we were steps away from the beach, we traveled to Sand Key Beach to enjoy the beach without the crowd. Keycode was not automatically sent so waiting was prolonged for check in. Keyless entry was faulty making access complicated multiple days. Parking permit was two blocks away making unloading and loading difficult as well as traveling with small kids and transporting them across busy streets dangerous through the week. Towing was observed multiple times during our stay including guests at the suites who mistakenly parked on site without the correct permit. As far as cleanliness, the only complaint was that the floor was sand free but not mopped and was very dirty to walk on barefoot.
My husband and I just need a quiet place away on a beach for a few days in the fall every year and this was a good experience. The place was very clean and updated. A little smaller than expected from pictures but suited just the 2 of us just fine. Only a few steps to the beach and downtown area. The only issue was that we had to "reset" the hot water heater out back to get any hot water in the shower. We tried to contact someone about it the first night but got no response. Bed seemed fairly old and not real comfortable. Parking was a bit confusing but we are pretty laid back and can walk from having to park down the street no problem. Overall I rent from this company again. Thanks!
