Tout ce qui est fourni, il suffit d'apporter votre brosse à dents. Lave linge privatif. Nous fournissons même un détergent à lessive! Équipement de plongée, parasol, chaises, tapis, glacières, etc.(peut coûter 15 $ par jour + à la plage) De nombreux guides, et encore des connaissances locales. Micro-ondes de cuisine complet, four grille-pain, mixeur, contremaître George, balle nutritive, etc. Promenade facile à la plage et le meilleur temps à Hawaï! Nous sommes à 100 miles au nord du volcan.

The best week ever!

David, our host was wonderful. Booking our place was easy since David responded so quickly. He met us when we arrived and we took a walk to see the sunset together. He had suggestions for what to see and wedid them all. We will be back and we will stay with David again. The studio is perfect and we had everything we needed. Snorkling gear is there for free. There is a lovely place to have coffee outside the unit and we enjoyed the privacy. Perfect. Five stars...wish I could give it more. Gratefully,Caroline and Tom Quinn

Absolutely recommendable accommodation with a very nice host

I booked David's apartment for 14 nights and was very happy with my stay there. The accommodation is very clean and in good condition. Everything you need is there, and the host David is very helpful if you need assistance or have any questions. I booked the accommodation during my participation in the Ironman World Championship 2024, and David and his family even cheered me on during the race with an original sign :-) Thank you very much for that! You can park your rental car right in front of the house, which is very practical. The accommodation is very close to the beautiful White Sands Beach (a few hundred meters). The area is very quiet (no street noise), which is very important for me. I really enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend the accommodation. Thank you David for the nice stay and the interesting conversations with you!

Home away from home

My husband & I have stayed at many condos in our extensive travels around Hawaii. This was our first stay on the big Island so wanted something very reasonably priced but also an escape from the rush of a new vacation site. We found it with David & his lovely family. Our space felt so safe, comfortable & inviting, as well as quiet except for lovely birds! Highly recommend as a safe place during busy travels! Plus lots of snorkel/board equipment & good travel advice!

The studio apartment needs updating. The cabinets are all taped up, the apartment needs paint, there was a smell coming from the bathroom, and the screen door was broke.

Perfect for a Hawaii Stay

The room was perfect for what we were looking for! Comfortable and well stocked. Close to the beach and restaurants - everything you could ask for. David was very easy to communicate with and get a long with and was willing to provide anything we needed. Would stay here again when we come back to Kona! Thank you!

First time visiting the Big Island from Alaska

The property was perfect for my visit, as I came by myself. David (the host) was very welcoming. He was always suggesting places to explore and experience. He was very helpful if you need anything. As long as you took care of his items and asked, he is happy to lend them out and let you borrow it. The kitchen had everything you’ll need to cook while you stayed. If you don’t see something, ask, and he’ll make sure you have it. The surrounding area was quiet and safe. I plan to come back and stay here again.

Enjoyed our visit to Kona

We stayed 10 days in David's studio suite. David was quick to respond to all our enquiries. The bed was very comfortable. However, it was a little warm at night as we had record temperatures on the island. There was no a/c. The location was great. We didn't rent a car and rode the free shuttle bus to Kailua-Kona and Keauhou Shopping Mall. We walked to the Magic Sands beach and also enjoyed happy hour dinner there. The studio was within walking distance to Kahalu’u Beach Park (great snorkel beach). David provided snorkel equipment and beach chairs which was a bonus. Mahalo, Anne & Rob

We enjoyed our stay!

Friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable hosts! Clean, comfortable accommodations with everything that you need to cook your own meals and to play at the beach. Private patio featuring a clothes line and washing machine. It’s in a residential neighborhood close to the beach. Relax and explore the Kona coast!

Convenient and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The location is convenient to several beaches and it's relatively easy to get all over the island from here. Loved that there were a number of beach amenities available for our use.

Location, Location, Location

Very sad to be leaving this Vrbo today. The house is just off Alii drive and about two or 3 blocks to the beach. Magic sands beach area is close to everything but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona. The house itself has a queen bed, 2 recliner chairs, a coffee maker, and enough appliances and stuff to make your own food. We averaged 2 meals a day on site and one at a restaurant. It was nice having access to the beach equipment, chairs, a cooler, towels, and snorkeling gear. The island has a lot of rocks,…make sure to take beach shoes or flippers when you go snorkeling. They have a few in the closet on the patio. The best place to snorkel is just about 5 minutes south. (Keauhoua) I think is the name. There are 3 fans in the place and we were never too hot even though we had 3 or 4 beautiful sunny days. This is the perfect place to call home base while you explore the island. Make sure to go to a coffee farm, we enjoyed Greenwell which is about 10 minutes away. We also went to the Kona brewery which is about a 15 minute drive. The volcano National park and waterfalls can be done in a day trip! We left about 8am and returned around 7pm circling the entire island. I just copied a viator tour and drove it myself. Have fun! Stay here and save the money. In general everything is expensive so it’s nice to get a good deal on the Vrbo.

Great Stay

Very clean, excellent location, and priced right. Everything we needed and more. Washing machine was a great bonus as we were traveling to another island before heading home. Host was also great to work with and made checking in easy. Mahalo David!

Super friendly owner treated us like family

We felt very welcomed when David stayed up, waiting for us for check-in when our plane/car rental was delayed at night. When the neighbourhood experienced a short power outage during a heavy storm, he came by with flashlights and matches, and checked to see that we were doing alright. The property came with everything we needed, from towels to soap, kitchen supplies, and snorkelling gear. All we needed was to show up and everything was ready for us. David also took the time to provide us suggestions on where to go for safe snorkelling and swimming adventures, since my wife is pregnant. Overall, we had a marvelous experience staying here! We highly recommend David and his unit!

Fantastic location!

We had a wonderful time snorkeling daily with the snorkel equipment provided (so thoughtful and helpful!), and this location makes it so easy to get to a wide variety of good snorkeling spots. The property has all the beach gear you could ever need, and David and Akemi were friendly and communicative hosts. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend it!

Hy husband and I stayed here for a week, and next time we return to the Big Island, we know where we are staying! The host, Dave, was very welcoming and told us all about the places to visit on the island. The room is very cozy and spacious. The kitchen has all the necessary things if you want to cook at home, with an adorable patio where you can have your meals or coffee. Also, you will find anything you need for the beach at the place (beach towels, coolers, chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkeling gears... and more!) that will save you some money! The best part is it's just few min walk from a beautiful local Magic Sands beach.

Just about everything you need close to just about everywhere you'll want to go

This property is a great value, especially for those of you who understand Kona and the western side of the Big Island. And if you don't understand, read on... The place is walking distance to Magic Sands beach (one of our favorite beaches). A comfortable distance from downtown Kona (about a 5 minute drive). A block from La'aloa avenue that gets you quickly up to the Hawaii Belt road to head north (towards Hawi) or south (to Ho'okena beach). David and Akemi keep the place stocked with essentials you'll have trouble finding at other residences: snorkels, masks, boogie boards, flippers, beach chairs, washing machine and clothes line, beach towels, little smokey joe grill. If you've tried renting these on the island, you'll appreciate the value here. Inside, plenty of fans to keep the place cool and a fully functional kitchen (meaning not a few items but a lot): pans, dishes, glasses, various helpful amenities like tinfoil, plastic wrap, etc., and filled drinking water dispenser. The bed is comfortable and, something you'll learn to appreciate if you stay around Kona, the place is super quiet. David is direct and friendly, a pleasure to talk to, and will work to answer island questions as they come up. So, forgot something? Let David know-he'll take good care of you. We highly recommend this residence for your stay on the Big Island!

Beautiful studio, best location and the kindest host!

We have been coming to Kona for a bit… I can honestly say that this is my favorite place to stay. David, the host, is kind and offers wisdom about the island, and their studio is just perfect. The location is central and the neighborhood is beautiful. Best spot all around

I have been in Kona my entire adult life, born on Long island in New York and then moved to San Diego. I am a professional photographer specializing in underwater and nature photography. Now taking reservations for portraits and weddings etc. I am also a sponsored Pickleball athlete with Gearbox sports. I started an advanced group of Pickleball players called, Dave’s Kona Pickleball Misfits.
My wife is a retired surgical nurse born and raised in Japan, near Osaka. We have a lovely teenage son. We live an active lifestyle and try to get in the water as much as possible

We have local knowledge of over 35 years. MANY many return guests. We are always updating the apartment with new and improved things. Linen, paint, chairs etc. Private and secure with gates.

We have everything supplied. We even supply laundry detergent for your private washing machine! Snorkel gear, beach umbrella, chairs, mats, coolers etc.(can cost $20 a day + to rent at the beach) Many guide books, and again local knowledge. Full kitchen microwave, toaster oven, blender, George foreman, nutri-bullet etc. Easy walk to the beach and the best weather in Hawaii!
