What a beautiful home! Love the character of it! Also loved how it was well stocked and had plenty of room for family! Beautiful lake view also!! And a close walk to the park and a short drive to restaurants! Would love to come back someday!!
My family had a remarkable time in this amazing property on the river. The home is so beautiful and so well stocked with everything you might need. Communication with the host is perfect and she makes you feel welcome. The neighborhood is friendly and fun. Everything was perfect and we would LOVE to return one day.
The house was nicely decorated, a lot of little extras, even had it decorated in fall seasonal theme. Nice central location lots to do in that area, beautiful place right on the river had a nice dock although river was way low and couldnât dock our boat but otherwise very nice. Lots of outdoor seating areas and decks. Enjoyed family room and bar area, outdoor fire place, indoor wood pizza oven. We really enjoyed ourselves, would love to come back during the summertime.
We stayed during a Major Fishing League tournament. We stayed with a bunch of anglers with 8 boats. Had no issue with theft in a quiet neighborhood. We did get toilet papered one night by homecoming kids and had plenty of laughs in how sneaky they were! We did need to bring a few extra air mattresses as the futons were a bit too short for tall men. The kitchen was great to feed all the guys and clean up was a breeze with 2 dishwashers. Already planning on availability for next year.
My name is Tracy and I was born and raised in Iowa, I also have a home in Naples, Florida for the past 30 years, and am currently living in Alpharetta, Georgia. I host at all of my homes when I can. I love to travel and meet new people!
This home was built in 1845 and Iowa became a state in 1846. This home was here before it was called the state of Iowa, pretty cool! Your view out the back deck is the River and âŠthe state of Illinois !!
