Historic Farm House called Oak Cliff w/ spectacular view of Mississippi River
There are 5 acres of native grassland boarded by a 40 foot cliff overlooking the mighty Mississippi, giving you a 10 mile unobstructed view of the Iowa shore line. A long quiet country road to stroll that parallels the Mississippi and runs adjacent to the Great River Road. Have a restful quiet vacation in the country as it was!
The amenities were plentiful, the cleanliness was incredible (even knick knacks not a bit dusty!), floors were clean (my socks didn't get dirty, it was great), bathroom spotless, bed comfortable, chairs and couch clean and comfy. Enjoyed the gazebo by the Mississippi. We loved it here.
My second time there, only had a few hours last time and enjoyed it so much I had to go back. Can't wait for the third beautiful historic property with great views
Amazingly relaxing. My in laws had a death in the family so it was just my husband I. Such a relaxing get away! I wish we had more time to spend and enjoy more of the riverfront from the gazebo. Decorations were so homey. Instructions were on spot. If we are ever planning on coming this way I will definitely rent here again!
This Farmhouse is my favorite Vrbo stay to date. It was way more than I expected my only regret is we only stayed 3 days. We definitely will come back a stay longer. I caught over 10 catfish in a few hours.
The historic farmhouse is beautiful and situated on large welcoming property overlooking the Mississippi River. Kitchen is well appointed and bedrooms roomy. Lots of places to sit and relax both inside and out. Great communications with hosts. Highly recommended!
I found this place to go to after losing my mom recently. I have never felt so close to her and to heaven as this. The place was immaculate and very well stocked. It reminds me of home. It was peaceful and the kind of place i want to go back to next year. I absolutely loved my whole time there.
We arrived during a storm and the house was easy to find. The house itself is beautiful and cozy. For a family with toddlers there are a lot of little trinkets we had to move to ensure nothing got broke. The house is very spacious especially with the front room. The fully stocked kitchen was a dream so we didnât have to pack as much. The view from the backyard is absolutely beautiful. The only thing I wish it had was curtains on the front room windows.
The owners of this property have obviously gone above and beyond most other rentals I have stayed at over the years. The house was spotless and had everything you could possibly imagine needing and more! Spent hours sitting, relaxing and watching the river. Stairs going down to the river appear new and are well lit. Unfortunately it rained several time during my stay but could still enjoy the outdoors via the covered front porch. Incredibly comfortable furniture, bed and the whole house felt like home.
Stayed here with the family while exploring the world series at Cordova Dragway. The house was very nice and the property was a quiet retreat to go relax and unwind.
My friends and I stayed at the house for working at the Quad City Nuclear Power Plant. The house was a great farm house with plenty of room and close to the plant for us. We would definitely return next year.
Such a beautiful home on the river! I love watching birds and this home did not disappoint with a perfect grain gazebo set up for my tripod overlooking the river which gave me the best view of a pair of bald eagles nesting there. So many other beautiful birds, woodpeckers, friendly squirrels and cute raccoons that loved the peanuts I had to offer. A peaceful and tranquil stay. I canât wait to come back!
The river access via the new stairs was our favorite element! Location is easy to get to and the grounds are amazing. They call it a farmhouse, and it has charm in every room. There's more space than we needed and lots of areas with great natural light to just sit and read or relax. Will stay here every time we're in the area.
