This was our second time staying at Turtle Cottage and we loved it just as much as last year. Its super clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The host is wonderful in accommodating needs. I hope we can stay again next spring. Love it!
Lovely home perfect for our purposes - a week working remotely. Several screened porches and a sunroom allowed for some variety during the day. Pine Island is very quiet but has a reasonable number of restaurants. Bikes were a nice add.
What a great cottage. Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice and I felt completely safe. A great place to get recharged.
Great little house, basically had private pool, quiet island. Went to beaches on Sanibel, visited Ding Darling, kayaking of Matlacha, and took day trips to N. Captiva and Cayo Costa. Good central location for all those adventures. Great visit.
This was our second stay at Turtle Cottage and it was just as nice as last year. Stan and MaryBeth are great hosts. The location is very peaceful which we liked a lot. There is one small screened porch where I spent nearly every afternoon listening to audio books and cross stitchingâŠ.loved it!
Very nice cottage, clean, well stocked with kitchen utensils supplies for kitchen, washer, bathrooms
Owner has done a great job of preparing this property. Everything was in really good condition and working order. Quiet neighborhood and very relaxing place to stay. Marybeth answered all of our questions and gave us some places to dine.
Beautiful, immaculate and nicely decorated house. Quiet neighborhood, pool next door and close to local eateries and shops. Everyone we met was kind and engaging. Our hostess was always available to answer questions promptly. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Cozy, clean, comfortable. Community pool next door was awesome. Marybeth was a great host, and we found lots to do and see in the Pine Island/Matlacha area as well as on trips to Captiva and Fort Myers.
The property is neat and clean and the property manager made arriving and leaving seamless. The Pine Island Village site is quiet and off the main road. There is a bike trail, easily accessible, that traverses the 15 mile length of Pine Island. 2 bikes available.
We had a wonderful getaway at the Turtle Cottage! The location was peaceful and quiet and the cottage was extremely clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we could possibly need or want, including beach towels and chairs. When we weren't off exploring the island and surrounding areas, you could find us on the screened-in porch off the kitchen. Thank you!
Renter property for 1 month to do repairs at my home that was heavily damaged by hurricane Ian and liked it so much rented for a 2nd month. Property owners are great!
Super clean comfortable place in an ideal location. Had every amenity including coffee. A welcome bottle of wine and a toy for our pet Shih Tzu was a great way to say welcome and enjoy your stay. Most informative guide book I've encountered in any of our previous vacation spots! Thanks Marybeth- you're a super host!
we were lucky enough to stay at this property for 6 nights and it exceeded every expectation we had. the home is sparkling clean with tasteful layout and decoration. we particularly loved the screened in porches (there are 3 of them!) for reading, dining and simply drying our towels/bathing suits. personally i enjoyed the fact that the swimming pool was right next door and i enjoyed it every day of our visit with never another guest in sight!
it was a great privilege to spend our valuable downtime here and we were so impressed that every creature comfort was thought of provided to us.
Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us!
We had a relaxing stay at this wonderful cottage. Marybeth went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you need for a fun getaway. We visited Naples, Sanibel and enjoyed the quirky, fun restaurants on Pine Island. The Indian ruins were a highlight as well. Access to bikes and the swimming pool were much appreciated! Thank you for having us!
Upon arrival we saw two beautiful surprises! A wine bottle with turtle wine glasses and a turtle squeaky toy for our dog! Itâs a charming cottage, very clean, and I highly recommend this place. Marybeth is a very kind human being.
My husband and I spent 5 weeks here in Turtle Cottage and loved it.
The cottage is adorable. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well kitted out for those of us who still cook while on vacation. My favorite place was the the screened porch off the kitchen. I spent many hours out there cross-stitching....it was wonderful. The pool next door is a treat to have and the neighbors are friendly. We enjoyed meeting both MaryBeth and Stan and are looking forward to going back next year!
This was a great stay in a quiet neighborhood. House was clean and up to date with plenty of amenities. Plenty of outside space to relax of an evening. Although closed from hurricane damage, so we didn't get to use it, the association pool is literally right next to the house. (it was set to open later this month) Short drive to both ends of the island for dining, as well as in to the main land. Easy access to nearby bike path. Mary Beth was great to work with.
I'd never heard of Pine Island before our stay there. It turned out to be a great place for a winter getaway. There's really no true beach on the island but we didn't mind. We found so much to do on all parts of the island - small galleries and unique restaurants kept us busy as did the pool right next door to the property. Even though the temps were in the 60's - 70's, the sun was shining and we got a good dose of vitamin D. The cottage itself is very well laid-out with plenty of neat spaces for sitting (three screened in porches were awesome). The kitchen is well appointed and great for cooking. Overall it was a great cottage in a great location and I'd very much consider coming back here in the future. Our host was very attentive and responsive. She even left us a bottle of wine to share which was great! Travel delays got us into the cottage very late (1 am), so a glass of wine before bed hit the spot (as did the chunky monkey ben and jerry's ice cream in the freezer). Great host, great property!
We had a wonderful time on Pine Island and the house was unbelievable. It had everything we needed and more. Quiet neighborhood, close to everything, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. There was a binder full of suggestions on Things To Do. For those new to the area, stop by the Welcome Center and be sure and grab a quesadilla from the food truck next to the Welcome Center.
The owners were great and property was very nice. I rented due to having to gut our home in St James City due to hurricane so location was perfect for going back and forth to work on home as it was like a 7 minute drive. Highly recommend this property for vacationers the pool is literally next door!
