Wow what a great little place! Very clean and super convenient with the boat slip right next to it. The owners were super friendly, accommodating and always very responsive. We loved it there and will definitely go back!
The owner/property mgr was amazing. Met me shortly after arrival to let us know about the amenities. Super conveniently located for access to the shops and restaurants. Excellent stay!
The place was off the main road and boat channel to be very quiet. The motel was completely destroyed by Hurricane Ian in Sept 2022 so has been restored since then and the owners have done a good job with lots of hard work. I was very comfortable and loved being able to control my own room temp with the mini split in my room. Parking available in front of door and boat mooring available for those who have boats. Otherwise chairs in screened outdoor space or dockside lounger available to sit and relax. Community park across the canal which gives privacy and trees for birds to perch and pelicans, ospreys and herons to hunt for fish. Janette was very helpful and responsive. I would be happy to book another stay there in the future.
Haven't been here since 2006. Would come yearly with family. Great memories. Brought tears to my eyes to see so much recover Still needed after more then a year ago hurricane. But happy to hear Berts will be rebuilt and to see the progress made. Had a wonderful visit and would return to Anglers Inn.
This unit was very clean and cute. The shower was excellent. There was a coffee pot and they provided coffee. (We brought our own) The second bed is really a pull out couch and a little uncomfortable for an adult. The location is awesome. And the best part is they let me bring my dog.
Property claims to sleep 4. We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids, the pullout couch is a single. Definitely not space for 4 to sleep and we were charged in the booking for extra people
Born in 1961 - we are travelers and water-bugs. We don't like to sit still and we love to meet new people. One of us is from Mastic Beach (NY) and the other near Baltimore, Maryland. We are members of local charities (Matlacha Hookers, Civic Associations, Elks and Moose) hoping to pay it forward as much as possible. We enjoy scuba diving, backpacking and camping, attending Blues Festivals, Seafood Festivals and just floating on a boat! If we are unsuccessful fishing that day, we just walk over to the seafood store and get some fresh fish from their boat! And, owning a small "Botel" means we usually have a guest room when family comes to visit :-)
Raised in and around salt water our whole lives - moving to Matlacha with its Old Florida feel and charm was a no-brainer! We vacationed here in 2007 and staring at retirement, having our little "mom & pop" motel allows us to earn a living and to meet people from all over the glove who want to share our experience of living where time seems to have stood still. We are blessed to have found our slice of paradise.
Located in a historic small town that's kitchy, artsy and rural. Off the beaten path, Angler's Inn is on a quiet side street in a nice neighborhood walking distance to shops, restaurants, and pubs. Short drives or boat rides will get you to see other areas on the coast. So much to see, so much to do yet you feel like you've stepped back in time...
