Very convenient to have a Hannafords closely! We had bicycles and were so near the park. Could leave car parked by the VRBO and get to the park in minutes without negotiating traffic! You could get some new fry pans that are flat....but otherwise, everything was great. We ran out of salt, so you should stock up on that. Great to have washer / dryer. Watched Netflix on the TV screen. That was great! LOVED THIS PLACE!
The perfect location for our Bar Harbor visit. We were just across the street from the sand bar and walking distance to all Bar Harbor has to offer. Our host was quick to respond if we had questions. The unit was spacious, clean and adequately stocked. The beds were comfortable and quilts were provided to take care of the chilly nights. A huge plus for me was the amazing collection of books! I could have stayed forever to read them. Hope to return one day!
The location of the property is great and the apartment is spacious, well stocked, nicely decorated and gets beautiful natural light during the day. However we would not choose to stay here again unless some items are addressed by the host. The box spring of the queen size bed seemed to be broken, making a very loud sound at the slightest movement. And the door of the bedroom with the two twin size beds didnât close. Our daughter had to rest her suitcase against the door to keep it closed. Also, there was a family staying in the apartment above and we were woken up by them walking around each morning, so it would be very helpful if the owner of the above apartment gets more carpeting, etc so that the sound doesnât carry as much.
Great location. Itâs an easy and short walk to all the restaurants and the waterfront. The unit was clean and comfortable and has off street parking. I would definitely stay here again.
The owner was very helpful and so nice. The property was perfectly located, The parking was super easy. Loved the big and well stocked kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was an unexpected bonus. I couldnât have asked for a more perfect place to stay while my adult daughter and I were in town. 5 out of 5 stars in every aspect from my perspective.
The location of this property is fabulous allowing us to walk to restaurants, grocery store, breweries and anything else we wanted or needed! Also, only a short drive to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our days. The property was spacious and well stocked, but we did not find the beds and pillows comfortable at all. Mattresses were thin and quite hard. Would probably think twice on another stay for this reason only.
We were in Bar Harbor for a long weekend for our sonâs wedding. This apt was the perfect size for our family â cozy, clean & easy walking distance to downtown area + short drive to Acadia. We would def stay here again!
The apartment was clean, filled with interesting art, books, washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. The location was superb! We could easily walk to the harbor, the restaurants, and shops downtown. We enjoyed breakfasts at Jordans, and lunch/dinner at the Side Street Cafe and Finback Ale among our favorites. We both discovered the wonder of tides for the first time at Bar Island. Wow!
5 Stars on all accounts with one slight exception:
TV receptions cuts in and out for sometimes 10 seconds but often to over 30 seconds and beyond. Limited access to major networks.
Perfect location for our trip to Bar Harbor & Acadia - walkable to all of the shops & restaurants, and an easy drive to Acadia hikes. The off-street parking was amazing to have!
The house was well-stocked and comfortable, and generally clean (bedding and linens, etc) but could very much use a deep clean and vacuum.
I lived and worked in Bar Harbor for years and I spend as much time here as possible. My brothers are fortunate enough to live here year round. In 2004, we built this house for our mother. This is where my family and I stay when we're here.
