We really enjoyed our stay. The location made it easy to access all parts of the island for hikes and sight seeing with a comfortable place to return to.
The house was perfect and very charming. The location was very convenient to Bar Harbor and we enjoyed the property itself as well. We look forward to staying at the property again :)
The house was perfect for our family. It was clean, very comfortably furnished and provided all the amenities you could wish for. It was centrally located and easy to access the park as well as all the towns. We were able to bring our dogs which was a huge plus
The home was excellent. All the amenities you needed, as well as being centrally located to every activity you wanted to do. Hopefully we can get back here sometime.

Came with our adult children to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We ebiked in Acadia National Park, enjoyed downtown Bar Harbor and ate all things seafood. It was a wonderful time. The home was a wonderful place for us to relax and enjoy each otherâs company.
The house was bigger than it appears in the pictures. Our family of five had plenty of space and the location was excellent as every trail and the downtown area had multiple ways to go get there.
Jim and Annette's place was clean and the space was as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked, possibly the best VRBO of any I have stayed in. We loved being able to bring our dog who also enjoyed the yard. The location in regards to BH/Acadia is great. Beds are soft, and it is close to major road causing more traffice noise than anticipated from the photos. Overall I would recommend.
The house itself was very neat and provided many of the necessary provisions for a comfortable stay. Would stay again in future trips to Mt Desert island.
Cozy, comfortable home away from it all, but close enough to everything you could want in Bar Harbor and Acadia. Jim is a master lobsterman and delivered our holiday dinner.
Wonderful home for a family vacation! We loved how quiet this house was but that it was close to Acadia and Bar Harbor without having to deal with the traffic. The house itself had everything we needed and more. We thought it was larger that the pictures showed. We always enjoyed ending our busy days eating dinner on the deck then playing games around the fire. We hope to rent this home again next time we are in town.
Lovely house on quiet street off very busy road. Twenty minutes to Bar Harbor, but great takeout nearby. House is big, clean with very soft beds. Nice outdoor deck and porch, big well-stocked kitchen. Communication with owners was minimal.
Had such a great experience last year, came back again. Very clean home, has everything you'd need in a rental. Hosts are kind and responsive to inquiries. Close to enjoy all Acadia has to offer but without the craziness of Bar Harbor. Quiet street, great pizza place within walking distance and other great restaurants close-by without that intense-touristy feel.
Annette and Jim's house was the perfect place to come to after a day full of adventures. We loved the location, and how close it was to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Their house was super clean and cozy, and had the most comfortable beds! If we are fortunate enough to make it back to the Bar Harbor area, we will be SURE to stay here! It was the most perfect stay!
Probably our favorite house we have stayed at on the island. The house itself is gorgeous with a lovely huge porch complete with a super cool fire pit! The house was stocked with everthing you would need and was very clean. The hosts were very responsive and extremely helpful. The location of the house is perfect. It's private but all necessities and of course Acadia are only a short drive away. Plus, our dogs were allowed to stay with us which was amazing. Could not have asked for a better home base for our trip!
We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was ideal for exploring Acadia National Park and all the charming towns nearby. The house was extremely tidy and comfortable with lots of attention to detail in terms of what a family traveling might need. We loved being able to cook meals in the well-stocked kitchen, making smores around the fire, and relaxing with games after a long day exploring.
We are local residents of Mount Desert Island, going back several generations. I have worked for the local school district for over 25 years and my husband Jim being a full-time year round lobsterman on his boat the F/V Blythe Megan named for our 2 daughters.
Our home is located on several acres that goes back 3 generations in my family, the Norwoods, in the village of Town Hill. There are several homes in our neighborhood with the majority still own by my family members.
Our home is located on Route 102 off the main highway in a wooded lot. We have a wrap around front porch and deck with lots of seating to enjoy the quiet of the evenings or coffee in the morning.
