Located in a quiet area with close access to bar harbor and Acadia national park. Lovely home with everything one would need. The host was very kind and responsive. I will definitely stay here again!
Perfect house for our family of 4 to tour Acadia and Bar Harbor! Owners gave fantastic details about the surrounding area and were very responsive! House and kitchen well stocked and very comfortable.
Our host was wonderfully communicative in advance of, and during our stay. The house is centrally located for easy travel around Mt Desert Island while still feeling private and secluded. We saw deer and wild turkeys in the woods around the house, and the home was very well appointed with everything we needed to make it feel like home away from home.
House had everything we needed. Plenty of kitchen essentials, towels and hangers in the closets. Perfect location to explore Acadia and the quiet side of the island. The lakes were great for kayaking. Every place we chose for dinner were delicious. Host was always responsive to text messages. Great place to visit. Donât miss out booking Eden House.
Everything for a family juggling two littles could need! Our 4 yr old loved all the games, puzzles, and books. The parents appreciated the easy single floor layout of the main living spaces, laundry, high chair, quiet and private neighborhood, and a kitchen with everything needed to cook a meal easily. Location is great for accessing the NP park from different entrances and great food options around with a playground right up the street. 10/10, no notes.
We had a wonderful stay at Eden House. Kathy was very responsive before and during the stay. Super helpful. Not that much help is needed because the house is well equipped, including lots of extra touches provided to make everything easy. We are a family of 4 and were comfortable in the house and on the large, very private and quiet property. Easy access to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor. Just an overall great accommodation. Thank you Kathy and Bruce!
Nice quiet setting in the woods. Convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Host was very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
We loved everything about our stay in this beautiful house! Clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed and offered the perfect peaceful place to come home to after a day of exploring. Kathy was readily available by text any time, and the check-in and check-out couldn't have been simpler. We would love to stay here again!
We loved the house. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was conveniently located to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
Such a great little house, very private and you felt like you were in the forest, so quiet and relaxing and still close to everything. Very clean and the kitchen and bath well equipped. My husband and I loved it and hope to go back for another stay!
Amazing location for visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor, close to everything without dealing with the crowds in a lovely house in the woods that took us back in time. Clean, quiet, comfy 50s feel. Well-supplied with a lovely host and great communication.
We loved our stay! Kathy was so responsive and the house had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, check in was a breeze, and everything was clean. It was also in a great location that made it easy to get to any place we needed, the shuttle stop is close by, and itâs away from the crazy busy Bar Harbor area. We would definitely stay again!
We had a wonderful time staying here as our home base while exploring Acadia with our kids. We appreciated the quieter pace away from Bar Harbor while still being able to easily get to all hikes and restaurants in town. Great recommendations from the hosts, property exactly as described, well stocked kitchen, easy communication â would recommend across the board!
Our stay at Eden House was wonderful!
Just like visiting Acadia National Park, it was quiet and serene. We found all we needed for our stay in a comfortable, creatively decorated space.
Thanks!
Kathyâs house was a gem on Mt Desert Island, tucked away from the crowds, yet close to Bar Harbor and the park. The house was well stocked with amenities, basically everything you need for your stay with a bonus of frozen Maine blueberries, pancake mix, butter and syrup to prepare a delicious pancake breakfast the first morning. Highly recommended for your visit in the area.
My husband and I built Eden House in 1975 on family property. Our families are both local and we are descendants of the first residents of Mount Desert Island. We are very proud of our island. It has been a wonderful place to raise a family and our children live close by!
