Amenez toute la famille à la plage! Vous cherchez une grande maison pour réunir toute la famille? Êtes-vous prêt à réserver vos vacances? Cette ancienne maison en bord de mer sera parfaite pour vous en toute saison. Veuillez noter que l'âge minimum pour louer ce cottage est de 38 ans. Veuillez contacter le propriétaire si vous êtes une jeune famille.

Ce charmant chalet en bord de mer a récemment subi une rénovation majeure. Construit dans les années 1930, il conserve tout son charme d'origine, tandis que les mises à jour modernes le font entrer dans le 21e siècle. Un nouveau système de CVC vous gardera au frais en été et au chaud en hiver. La toute nouvelle cuisine est remplie d'appareils en acier inoxydable et d'un réfrigérateur à vin. Le chalet dispose de 2 chambres et d'un porche de couchage intérieur avec lit queen en bas, et 4 autres grandes chambres à l'étage. Les draps ne sont pas fournis mais un service de linge peut être recommandé. La salle de bain en bas a conservé sa baignoire sur pattes antique avec douche, tandis que la salle de bain à l'étage a une nouvelle douche. Le salon a un piano bien entretenu pour ceux qui jouent. Cette maison remplie d'antiquités a beaucoup de porches confortables pour se détendre et une terrasse en bord de mer pour prendre le soleil. L'accès à la plage se fait dans l'allée et dans la rue, donc personne ne traversera la propriété depuis la plage. Nous avons un parking hors rue pour 4 voitures. Cette location convient aux familles élargies ou aux familles en vacances ensemble. Nous sommes favorables aux LGBT. Il s'agit d'une location calme ne convient pas aux jeunes célibataires. Nous ne louons pas aux étudiants ou aux diplômés récents. Nous ne louons pas à des groupes de célibataires. Nous avons une tolérance zéro pour les fêtards.

Perfect Getaway for Special Family Celebration

We stayed at this beautiful, cozy historical beach house to celebrate my mom’s early 70th birthday, and it was truly the perfect setting. The home is full of character and charm, with thoughtful touches that made it feel welcoming and special from the moment we arrived.The sound of the waves, the vintage details, and the peaceful location all added to the experience. We’re so grateful for the chance to celebrate such an important milestone in such a special place.

Charming home!

Charming home right on the water with beautiful views. The location was perfect and we were able to enjoy the beach right from the house. Plenty of room and we would definitely rent again. 😊

Lovely beach home. Comfortable and welcoming

This was a short winter break for us. We took our dog. Home right on the water. Large house with interesting nooks and crannies. Easy to be together or to have some quiet time alone. This is a home. Antiques, a piano. But updated and comfortable. Lovely hosts. Very responsive to questions and very patient with a key fiasco we had. We’ll be back for sure.

Paradise

The house was very nice - furnishings mostly antiques and beautiful. This little get-away was the most relaxing experience of our lives - and we took our two Corgis. The house is right on the sand - we sat on the deck and stared at the ocean - even slept on the deck and listened to the waves - total relaxation - paradise!

Great location

A half way meeting spot for friends weekend with dogs. Great location. Great beach The house furnishings are some what outdated and tired. The floors and surfaces were a bit grimy and dusty . The house rooms were dark . Surfaces were cluttered . Bedding and mattresses were worn. The house needs a deep clean and windows cleaned The hostess was very responsive and was very receptive and accomodating

Perfect beachfront vacation

My family and I had a perfect trip. The rental process was quick and easy with the great communication from Valerie. The house was perfect. It has plenty of room for family to have dinner together out on the deck overlooking the ocean and then retire to their own separate spaces to read or relax. We rented off-season and for me being able to walk out the door right onto the beach and be the only person swimming in the ocean was a nice luxury. We have already rented for next year.

Absolutely perfect

What an amazing beach cottage! So roomy and yet very cosy. We were celebrating my parents’ big birthdays (yay 7-0!) and the whole gang - including the dogs - were welcome and comfortable. We loved looking at all the original photos and playing the piano in the evenings. This place feels like such a wonderful and long standing gathering place for the owners that you feel lucky they are letting you borrow it the moment you walk in the door.

Historic Cottage with lots of charm

This was a family vacation with three generations celebrating a 70th birthday. As soon as we walked into the cottage, we felt at home. There were plenty of bedrooms(6), porches with pull out couches, and a HUGE deck overlooking the ocean. Kitchen was well stocked with all needed utensils and appliances. The location was outstanding. It was secluded from the crowds, but close enough to walk to everything Dewey Beach has to offer. We will for sure be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay celebrating family!!!

Everyone in our family, including the dog, loves this house.

Charming house with piano in the perfect Dewey beach location. This was our second New Year's weekend stay. It is a perfect for our extended family. (Up on pilings, so not handicapped accessible.)

Sibling get together

The house was clean, comfortable and plenty big enough for our long awaited sibling get together. After renting other houses over the years, I was particularly impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was with everything necessary. With almost all of us over 70 yrs old the house was very manageable and extra sitting rooms to be alone to read quietly. Plus Dewey has plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Also impressed with the immediate response from the homeowner with any questions we had. If you have pets, and you are young or old, this house is a great rental! Highly recommend it!!

Wonderful stay in Dewey!!

Great oceanfront location, big house with plenty of rooms, wonderful back porch with furniture to enjoy the ocean sounds, love all the sun porches. And the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again!

Perfect for our friend's getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this oceanfront home. The deck was perfect for watching the ocean, with plenty of comfortable seating - and when it rained, the porch was second best. The location is great - besides being so close to the ocean, it's an easy walk to stores and restaurants, including those that are dog friendly. A lovely time had by all!!

Dewey Beach Historic Ocean Front Cottage

Even though Mother Nature wasn’t very nice to us, this cottage provided ample space for me and my family to gather in the large dinning room area for games and dinners. Clean and cozy. The 3 spacious sun room areas allowed for storage, quiet space and ocean front indoor seating for those rainy days. The ocean front deck is big, has great seating, gates to keep the kids or pets secure and 2 deck umbrellas. The 6 bedrooms worked great for us.. 3 twins in one room 2 twins in another, no bunks, the rest where double or queen. The kitchen is small, well equipped, no open concept, but this is an older home with lots of character. Antiques scattered throughout, which I like. The 2 baths are functional.. even though I think claw foot tubs are beautiful, they are hard to get into and out of.. I preferred the outdoor shower (totally enclosed) .. There where some sand toys and a small children’s pool for guest use. We might have used these but the weather didn’t allow. No beach chairs or umbrella, so bring your own. The beach access, is not out front, you have a short walk around the adjacent home. Location.. In Dewey, after coming here for 20 years, I don’t think there is a bad location in Dewey. Everything is walkable. This place, ocean front, how can you beat it, loved it! This is a great cottage! Rent it, you won’t be disappointed.

Location marvelous, house lovely, owner efficient and attentive

This house was perfect for our extended family's "New Year's at the Beach." Only caution would be that there is no entry that doesn't involve quit a few stairs, so not suitable for disabled. We loved the handy kitchen, in-tune piano, nice set-up for gathering around TV for movies, comfortable beds, and above all the location right on the beach. The owner was helpful and attentive to our needs.

Nice ocean views!

My family of 3, and our dog, had a very nice time at this quaint ocean front cottage. The home stayed cozy on a cold, winter weekend—and had everything we needed. Beautiful views, easy walk to beach, games, and good WiFi. Owner was easy to work with. Great time away!

Exactly what we were looking for - beautiful setting

This house was exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful setting overlooking the beach and we were blessed by lovely weather. This quaint and comfortable ocean front home is very clean and well equipped. The deck overlooks the beach and the view from the front upstairs bedrooms is wonderful. Valerie was helpful and swift in all of our communications - thank you, Valerie. We would love to return.

Wonderful week at the Beach

Our family group included three generations, ages 13 to 79, and we had a wonderful week. We all loved the house, plenty of space to spread out with rooms for hanging out together or other spaces for quietly reading or napping or playing a game or doing a puzzle. Cannot say enough nice things about Valerie and how responsive she was to questions and how easy she was to work with especially since 2020 has been an unusual year to travel. From the moment we arrived to find fresh pink and red roses in the dining room, we felt right at home and comfortable. The house is charming and lovely, filled with beautiful vintage pieces of furniture and lovely cozy warm touches. We knew right away we were in a special place where lots of happy memories were made over the years. The deck overlooking the beach was our favorite place to hang out for morning coffee and sunrise watching and then ending the day with a glass of wine. The view and the breeze and the sound of the waves was so peaceful. The deck has seating for 10 plus a square high-top table and two umbrellas for shade. Also fyi – there is a wonderful outside shower. The cozy galley kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans and dishes, etc. and has stainless steel appliances including a wine fridge. There was also a Keurig coffee machine as well as a regular one, a griddle and some kind of slushy making device (we didn’t use this) The large dining room table was big enough for all eleven of us to sit around and eat together. If you have never been to Dewey Beach before (we hadn’t) it is dog friendly and you are allowed to bring your pet to the beach during certain hours. There are lifeguards on duty and also a place to rent beach umbrellas and beach chairs. They also allow bonfires on the beach but you need a permit so plan ahead if you want to do this. Again, thanks to Valerie for phenomenal responsiveness. We had a minor incident where we couldn’t get the ice machine on the fridge to work. In normal times we would have just run to the store and grabbed a bag of ice or ice cube trays but we were trying to stay quarantined to the house and beach. When I reached out to see if there might be an easy fix Valerie got back to me right away. Within minutes a neighbor came over with two large Ziploc bags of ice, within hours a grocery store had delivered two large 20lb bags of ice. We were blown away and very grateful. We hope to return to this special place!
