À propos de cet hébergement

Notre maison en bardeaux de cèdre a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour une escapade tranquille. Les plages de l'océan et de la baie sont à quelques minutes de route et le charmant village d'East Quogue est au coin de la rue.

La maison a un grand porche arrière et une grande cour arrière, avec beaucoup d'espace pour courir, jouer à des jeux, et se détendre. Une formidable salle à manger, des salles à manger et salons et des vérandas à l'avant et à l'arrière offrent de superbes espaces pour passer du temps entre amis ou en famille ou pour se relaxer avec un livre (ou eBook - nous fournissons le WiFi).

La chambre principale avec salle de bain et deux chambres plus petites (une avec un lit double, l'autre avec deux lits jumeaux) occupent l'étage. Il y a un lit simple couchage er canapé sur la véranda. Une deuxième salle de bain est sur le palier et une laveuse / sécheuse au cas où vous avez besoin de faire la lessive.

Les restaurants locaux (sushis, tex-mex, chinois et les célèbres Bagels de Goldberg en ville) se trouvent à quelques pas. arrière-cour. Le grand porche couvert rend les repas en plein air une brise, même les jours de pluie.

Des vélos, des jouets de plage et un berceau portable sont à votre disposition.

Just what we needed

The host, Rachel, was great - very communicative and helpful. The house was as-listed and it was just what needed for the weekend. Location is very close to main street in East Quogue and is easy to find.

Great location - charming property

Great time staying at Rachel’s place. House was clean, well stocked and very charming. Perfect location. We were able to walk to everything. Rachel was very responsive to any questions we had.

Summer in EQ

We had a lovely stay again at Rachel’s place in East Quogue. It felt like a home away from home complete with books and games for our kids. It was a short ride to the beach and their little neighborhood was also lovely to walk around or ride bikes. We highly recommend to families!

Charming Beach House

My husband and I recently stayed here with our 5 month old and had a really wonderful week. I had a few questions leading up to the trip and Rachel was very responsive and helpful. The house is very charming and looks just as it does in photos, including the backyard & porch. We would definitely stay again and already miss our mornings at the beach (10 min drive).

Wonderful, quaint E Quogue home

Older home with lots of character. Very comfortable. Great location. Close to Montauk Hwy yet private and very quiet. 10 minute drive to Tiana Beach. Homeowner was very responsive. Would definitely recommend this home

Cozy retreat

Rachel’s home was a cozy base to retreat to over the holidays. The house is full of books and games and toys and perfect for a family. There were lots of little nooks for everyone to retreat to and the kids loves running in the yard. The neighborhood is great for walks and bike rides for little ones and you can view the water at the end of the block. We had a cozy and lovely stay.

East Quoque get away

We totally enjoyed our stay at Rachael’s East Quoque home. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed for a month long summer vacation. It is comfortable and clean with loads of extra games and books for any downtime. Best part are the nearby beaches, restaurants and local towns. Rachael made communication easy for anything we needed during the stay. We highly recommend this home for your Hamptons get away.

We’ll equipped but one difficulty to note

This house was very well equipped—probably more kitchen equipment then we’ve had in any previous rentals. We knew the house had two bathrooms—one on the landing and one upstairs. What we didn’t know was that the stairs were so narrow and steep. My husband is 81 y/o and had great difficulty getting up and down the stairs safely. So—-this is a great house for young families but not accessible for elderly visitors.

It could have been better

Nice location. Very interesting old house. Unfortunately part of our stay was really uncomfortable because of air quality issues due to the age of the house paired with high humidity levels. It didn't help that there is no AC in the 1st floor. By the 3rd day things got better as the owner delivered a humidifier and air cleaner but I wish my family didn't have to deal with that situation and that things were taken care of before our arrival. It felt like the house wasn't really ready for us. Nevertheless the owner was responsive the whole time and tried to rectify the situation.

Perfect weekend getaway with friends

We had the best time at Rachel’s place. The house is super charming and equipped with anything you need for cooking and entertainment. We really enjoyed the collection of games she had in the house too. She was super responsive with any questions that we had. We really appreciated that she made an exception for our small dog to come and stay with us. The area is pretty quiet and quaint and the beach is a short drive away. Thank you Rachel, we would stay here again :-)

Perfect weekend getaway

Charming house with all you need for a weekend at the beach. We spent most of our time enjoying the beach with the more than adequate beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards etc.) and lounging on the beyond perfect back porch. Would definitely recommend this eclectic getaway for travelers near and far.

Ein wundervolles Ferienhaus

Das Objekt war einfach wunderbar für uns als Familie. Das Haus ist in jeder Hinsicht vollständig ausgestattet, sehr schön eingerichtet und geräumig. Es passte einfach alles. Rachel war sehr hilfsbereit und hat vor unserer Anreise noch den Wunsch nach einem weiteren Fahrrad erfüllt, einfach spitze. Die Strände in der Umgebung sind herrlich. Wir können Rachels Unterkunft nur empfehlen! Danke für die schöne Zeit dort.

A charming country home!

Of all of the properties we have rented through VRBO, this quaint country East Quogue home is our favorite! Fully equipped with amenities, the residence is within walking distance of a boat marina, local shops, and restaurants. Beautiful oceans beaches are nearby. The owner is a most pleasant and helpful person! We enjoyed our visit and hope to return!

Great house, great area

We stayed in the house 9 nights - with two boys age 12 + 14. The house is in very good condition. Its kept in its original look/feel which makes it very cosy. House is equipped with everything needed, including everything needed to go the beach. The back porch is excellent (looks new) and the garden is very well kept. The house is a short drive from several groceries and farm stands. We also frequented the local coffee shop in Quogue (5 min drive). There is several beaches close by. The house is also a good starting point from where to explore the rest of the area (Southhampton, East Hamptons, Montauk, North Shore etc.). Within 20 drive there several fine wineries to visit. Only downside is the lack of AC. We stayed in the house during a couple of very hot and humid days (+30c/86c) - lots of fanes around though. We would stayed there again.

Cute old fashioned home, exactly as advertised!

I had a wonderful stay at this home for four nights. It is a charming, older home, in a great location. You can walk into a little town where there is a nice Italian market and a very good wine shop, and everything else is a short drive.

Loved it

I have 2 kids (elementary school) and family that lives nearby--this place was a perfect place for us all to get together. Lovely house with a lot of rooms, had everything we needed. Beaches are close by and easy to get to, lots of options for groceries (farm stand nearby, and plenty in nearby Hampton Bays). The yard and porch were perfect for entertaining my extended family at night. Great place overall.

Southampton beauty!

This is a beautiful older home. It has three bedrooms with a delightful back porch which could accommodate many people. We enjoyed family dinners and early morning coffee overlooking the backyard. This is a perfect home for folks with small children since there are many games and toys to play with. It also came with beach umbrellas and chairs which were handy to have while swimming at several of the nearby beaches. We were very comfortable there. Warning: no air conditioning, but lots of electric fans were provided. I definitely would come back again and would recommend it to anyone.

I am an artist and professor at Parsons School of Design. My husband and I live in New York City with our two sons. I grew up spending summers on Long Island beaches, and this house has been our family sanctuary for over 40 years. Our house was built in the early 20th century by a carpenter who built many of the houses on our street. We love our place, and we are delighted to share it with you.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

East Quogue is a wonderful town, close to the beach and to all the bigger Hamptons towns, without the rushed or crowded feeling. Beautiful Ocean beaches are 10 minutes away, with public parking available. Enjoy the ease of going vineyard hopping or antiquing on the North Fork, or exploring our local wildlife sanctuary or the bays. The rest of the South Fork's beaches and towns are easy to get to and explore.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our quiet community is an ideal home base, whether you are just staying home and going to the beach every day or exploring the rest of Long Island! Our local sushi place is delicious, too! Even if you don't have a car, and just want a place to get away, you have plenty to do within a short walk or bike ride. The Jitney stops a five minute walk from our house, or a train to Hampton Bays can get you close enough for a cab ride. Our house is full of history, original millwork from the 1920's, and is bordered by a protected forest area that often has wild turkeys and deer wandering through. Coffee on the back porch is heaven for bird watchers.
