This cabin is awesome and has all of the amenities you could want or need. The location is great and we enjoyed our stay tremendously, the owner is wonderful to deal with!
My husband and I spent 4 nights at this cabin and really enjoyed our time there. The owner was very responsive when we had a little trouble finding the place and friendly. The location was great for us being tucked away in the woods. The area itself is beautiful and the property very well maintained. The cabin was very cute, clean and had everything we needed. We would stay here again.
The cabin stay was a great way to unwind and have a peaceful weekend. Lots of privacy and space. The host left great details, information on places to tour and eat, and was quick to respond. Pictures described the cabin perfectly. We will definitely recommend staying and plan to return in a few months. 10 out of 10 !!
We enjoyed our 39th anniversary at this wonderful cabin. It was stocked with everything we needed plus extras that made us feel welcomed. A quiet and peaceful weekend allowed us to enjoy the area.
First of all , I was aprehensive about going in the dead of winter to a cabin., but WOW. Winter has it's own beauty with snow capped mountains. Make no mistake you can still use the hot tub. We got to take advantage to a first class cabin in the dead of Winter. My son and I only stayed 2 days, but I could have easily stayed another day just to relax further. The view was majestic.
My bf and I always look for something to book for our birthdays. This year we wanted a motorcycle trip in the mountains. Your place was very close to eating, and lots of attractions, plus the nice curvy roads to ride the bikes as well. Loved the very private location of this cabin. We will definitely be back. Hopefully this fall. Thank you!
I booked it for 2 nights but only stature one since my wife got sick and we had to stay enroute. Very steep grade getting up to the place. Normally wouldn't matter but we had a take in tow l on our suv one we got there our was nice. Lots of stuff tu do in the area. The owner wasn't responsive to any inquiries I made either through message or by my attempt to call.
I was left to be in charge of setting everything up for this trip to bring our roadster to run the dragon during "Miatas at the Gap" and while my girlfriend was expecting a plain 'ol motel room, she was dropping the jaw with enthusiasm when we showed up at this wonderful little gem. The cabin was beautifully decorated in knotty pine throughout with post and beam and a fun loft. Decked out with any amenities you'd need to stay a few days and we even used the hot tub! Ease of use / check-in check-out and stay were very helpful. (The drive is kinda steep, so we were thankful to have rear-wheel drive.) Very nice stay and not 'buggy' like other outdoorsy places. Quiet and relaxing.
This home was clean, comfortable and had all of amenities that we needed for our stay. The location was excellent, quiet and peaceful exactly as described.
My buddy and I brought our bikes from Maryland to hit the tail of the dragon. The ride was super enjoyable from cabin to the dragon, not very long maybe 25 minutes. The rest of the area around the cabin is beautiful and plenty of places in town to get supplies for your adventures. Highly recommend this property only downside I could even think of is the gravel drive way is pretty steep and loose but the bikes and truck/trailer didnât have too mich of a problem
The cabin is cute and cozy. Please update the instructions for the mini split. It would be helpful to know the upstairs railing doesn't go to the floor. Our 3 year old had to sleep up upstairs with her sister, but it wasn't safe for her.
We purchased the Moonshiner Cabin in 2013. Two years later, my husband, Bob and I, gave up our 30-plus-year careers in aviation and journalism, respectively, to become caretakers on a 45,000-acre ranch in New Mexico. The goal was to get closer to my 87-year-old mother while trying something different. The move gave us the opportunity to share our home in Bryson City -- a place we plan to retire to one day. We appreciate Bryson City for its rivers, boating, fishing, hiking, scenery, people and tranquility. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we have.
This home is in a perfect location. It's secluded and private, yet only minutes away from a main highway for visiting Cherokee, Bryson City, Fontana Lake, the Nantahala Gorge and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
