The villa was amazing and loads of room for 2 families within a 5 minute walk into Vence with all its shops, bars and restaurants. The pool waa fantastic and greatly appreciated in the very hot weather. With the extreme hot weather the only thing that was missing from the villa was AC even AC portable units would have been most welcomed as the fans just blew the hot air about.
Also a big thank you to Angie the Propery Manager, before and during our visit she couldn't do enough for you such a great asset.
This is a beautiful old property with loads of character. The pool and pool deck are lovely (though no shallow entry/steps for young kids so it was over their heads).
Our check in and check out process were great and Angie provided all the info we needed.
We had 4 children under 6 between 2 families and were a little concerned about a big drop over a ledge on one side of the property. It wouldnât be a problem for older children, but was a bit of a worry with younger ones so we ended up blocking that portion of the patio as best we could.
Overall the property is well equipped, communication was excellent and itâs so nice to be able to walk into the old town in just a few minutes.
Villa Lou Souleias is a gem of house in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood close to the centre of Vence. A car is useful for day trips around the region but not necessary to access shops, restaurants and other points of interest. A good bus service runs to nearby towns and Nice.
The villa is spacious, clean and charming. We spent a month at the villa and felt very at home in the warm atmosphere of the house. The manager of the house was always available and very helpful.
The pool is a good size and was great for our children and us alike, and regularly maintained and cleaned. The beautiful garden was designed to capture sun at different times of the day. Fantastic views of the old centre of Vence as well as the mountains behind.
Would definitely recommend a stay in the villa - perfect for relaxing, visiting the area and absorbing French life.
Lovely property, conveniently situated very close to the heart of Vence
Stayed as a party of 4 in late May '17.
The house is in traditional and charming French style, decor and fittings. Its thick stone walls help keep it cool inside in hot weather.
The pool - of very decent size and a gorgeously cool respite in hot weather - has wonderful views of the town in one direction and of the looming hills/mountains behind.
The property is within walking distance of the town, which has a good variety of restaurants and it is also conveniently near a very decent sized supermarket. Being primarily interested in relaxation (as opposed to sight-seeing in the area) we were able to manage perfectly well for a 7 day stay without the need for a car, just buying in as needed.
We would recommend this property to anyone seeking a relaxing break in a very nice part of the world.
We were a family of 5 over 3 generations and there was something for everyone. A great location only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town but quiet in the evenings if you have little ones who need to get to sleep. The house itself is well laid out and when the weather is nice there are many books and crannies to explore in the garden. Our weather was unfortunately mixed but the open wood fire warmed us up! The inside of the house is large and there are 4 good sized bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom has a fantastic view of vence from its window and there is even an outside balcony. The pool looks lovely but as we were out of season we unfortunately couldnât use that sure itâs lovely in the summer though. A lovely stay overall and would recommend
