Location was great, very quiet- Wonderful!

The place was wonderful- plenty of room, bed was comfortable, and location was amazing. Marco, who met us, was very responsive and kind. It is a great place to stay and recommended.

Perfect apartment, perfect location, great hosts!

We didn’t realize when we booked how perfectly situated this apartment was to all we wanted to see in Bologna (our 1st visit)! Marco & Silvia were SO accommodating in the booking, directions, check-in, & parking! The apartment was a great retreat after sightseeing & quite comfortable in the summer heat! We would definitely stay again!

Bologn Secret Frog

We were on a short break to Bologna. The location of this accommodation couldn’t have been better. It was clean and had everything we needed. Marco, the host, was amazing. Kept in touch before and during our stay and was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend. Shops, restaurants, bars, markets and transport all close by.

Great apartment in perfect location

Very well located to everything we wanted to see and to visit, easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, bakery, grocery store right next door, bus stop nearby, a bright apartment with a well outfitted kitchen, plenty of hot water, well, in fact everything a visitor needs to enjoy a visit to Bologna. And a very nice host to top it all off!

Great Location

Frog’s Hideaway was a perfect location to explore and enjoy Bologna. Marco was a very good host, helping us to settle in and provide a wealth of information. The apartment was equipped with everything you needed. It was remarkably quiet. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Lovely spacious apartment situated close to centre, great coffee/wine shop and supermarket right next door. Quite a few stairs to reach apartment but Marco met us on check in and carried up our luggage.

Excellent helpful host with tips, restaurant suggestions and helped arrange taxis and waited until we were picked up. Older unit inside but spacious, comfortable and well equipped, the kitchen was very well equipped. Bed is good and moderately firm. Right in city centre. Note there are stairs and narrow corridors to gain entry. Generally queiet.

Amazing location and wonderful host

My husband and I stayed at Frog's Hideaway for 5 nights. We loved every minute of our stay. The check-in process was effortless. Marco showed up 10 minutes after our call to let him know that we had arrived. He showed us the property and gave us the name of his best restaurants. Very friendly. The property was lovely, clean and had an old time charm. The location could not have been better. We were able to walk to the major tourist attractions and restaurants.

Ticks all the boxes.

It was an absolute joy to stay here. This modern style apartment was spacious and comfy for our month in Bolonga. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking some of the superb produce of Bolonga. Felt very safe here. It was very central, a stone's throw from the towers. The access was lovely, nothing difficult for us seniors. The host communicated well and was most helpful. Definitely the place to stay for our next trip to Bolonga.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Centre of town, yet quiet at night. Marco was helpful in greeting us at the check-in, helping our luggage and also helped us bring down the luggage at check-out and called the taxi. Bed was firm and comfortable. Cons: rather mixed furniture with a coffee table that is tilted. Towels have seen better days, we felt. A little investment could bring the property to a top rating, we feel.

An oasis in the heart of beautiful Bologna

Too stay in this lovely apartment is to feel a part of the rich history of Bologna. From the entrance under one of Bologna’s storied porticos, to the interior courtyard and it’s towering palm tree, to the 90 metre walk to the famous towers and the slightly longer walk in the opposite direction to the ancient churches of Santo Stefano. Inside the apartment all is tastefully modern, clean and convenient. Our host, Marco, gave us a warm greeting and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. We highly recommend it.

Marco the most hospitable host!

Marco is amazing- met us at the apartment (we texted him that we would be a few minutes late - walking instead of taking the bus due to the afternoon bus strike - life in Italy). Marco gave us so much useful information about his favorite restaurants and told us so much about Bologna. Marco was there is see us off and to make sure in person that everything was great about our trip. The apt in an amazing location! Everything is an easy walk - so much on the street too. Apt is large and very comfortable!

Great location, spacious and quiet

We had a great stay at the frog’s hideaway. The apartment is very spacious and quiet. It has a very functional kitchen which we did not use because of all the great restaurants in Bologna. Our hosts, Marco and Silvia, were very attentive to any needs we had especially in making restaurant reservations for us before we traveled. They also checked on us to make sure we were OK and enjoying ourselves. It was like meeting good friends for the first time. The apartment is in a great location making everything within walking distance. When we return to Bologna we will definitely stay at the frog’s hideaway again.

Spacious, bright well maintained apartment. Great location.

Our host, Marco, met us at the door right on time. Gave us a tour of the apartment, showed how everything worked, and made sure we had his phone number if we should have any questions. The apartment was much larger than expected with two large, shuttered windows opening onto an inner courtyard. Comfortable living room with good lighting, eat in kitchen equiped with quality appliances and good dinnerware & glasses. Lots of storage throughout, a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower. The location is ideal - restaurants everywhere, within easy walking distance to all the major sightseeing and we always felt safe in the neighborhood. We stayed a week and wish we had stayed another. Hope to return next year.

A Perfect Week in Bologna

I have no hesitation in giving the owner and the apartment an unqualified endorsement. Marco presented us with an immaculately clean apartment, instructions for internet, the washer/dryer, even a list of his favorite restaurants, and was available by text the whole time just to give advice on things such as which bus to take to the train station (we walked everywhere and had no trouble finding our way anywhere). We really felt taken care of. The apartment cannot be more centrally located, maybe three minutes from the Two Towers, but once we went through the front doors we were in quiet courtyard and our apartment was quiet as well. We could not hear the cars or people on the street. I was hesitant to use Vrbo for the first time, and to rent an apartment from someone I did not know before, but I was never disappointed.

Location, Location, Location

We spent 3 nights in this very well located apartment. Marco and Sylvia were wonderful hosts for our stay in their well supplied home. Literally just steps from market and coffee shop. Only 5 minute walk to piazza Maggiore and all the architectural history of the old city.

Another fantastic stay

This is the second time I have rented this apartment. Everything is perfect from the host to the location. Right is the heart of Bologna yet quiet at night. Will definitely stay here again.
