Old Wagon Lodge est une grande unité de vacances située dans les bois de Shenandoah, à l'ombre du parc national de Shenandoah, près de Luray, en Virginie.

Old Wagon Lodge est parfait pour les grands groupes. La salle à manger peut accueillir 10 avec des sièges supplémentaires dans la cuisine. Les enfants adorent notre chambre avec lits superposés, salle de jeux et jeux de plein air fort et balançoire. Adultes aiment notre grande Caldera bain à remous sur le pont. La chambre principale dispose d'un lit king size, TV LCD et d'une salle de bains principale avec baignoire à remous et douche. Il ya 2 chambres à l'étage plus chacune avec un lit queen. En bas, vous trouverez une autre chambre avec un lit double et une chambre avec 2 lits superposés pouvant accueillir 8 personnes. Il y a 3 salles de bain complètes et une nouvelle cuisine entièrement équipée. Le salon dispose d'une cheminée à bois de gaz et 50 pouces HDTV avec Dish Network, y compris les chaînes premium et lecteur Blu-Ray. Notre immense salle de jeu a un Mme Pacman, table de billard, table de ping-pong, babyfoot, air hockey, table de jeu, HDTV avec Dish Network et chaîne stéréo avec connexion iPod. Tous les pots, casseroles, ustensiles, sont fournis avec une cafetière et un grille-pain.

La beauté de la nature vous entoure lorsque vous êtes assis dans le bain à remous, que vous lisez un livre sous le porche ou que vous vous détendez au coin d'un feu. Ceci est une maison très propre avec des touches rustiques pour vous faire sentir à l'aise. Tous les draps et les serviettes sont fournis pour une capacité de couchage maximale.

Nice Property

The house is nice and cozy with a good game room. No major issues but we were given the wrong code for the lock box which was a little annoying. Lisa was very friendly, easy to reach and accommodating.

This property is pretty and quiet and conveniently located to Luray and Shenandoah National Park. It's nice to sit on the porch and relax (but check for wasp nests first). The hot tub is nice also. However, what the listing doesn't tell you is that the bunk room and the fourth bedroom are basement rooms WITH NO WINDOWS - I don't know how that meets code. We also discovered part way through our stay that most of the smoke detectors were non-functional, and the basement game room (which would be one of the escape routes for anyone staying in the basement bedrooms) didn't even have a smoke detector.

Wonderful quiet retreat

Great large house with many amenities sure to please any age. We stayed with grandparents, parents and kids and thoroughly enjoyed the large yard, fire pit, and hot tub. The game room called for a tournament our last night that topped the stay off perfectly.

Walker Family Trip

We overall enjoyed our stay. It's very quiet and peaceful. Lots of things to do inside and out. Although, the floor was sticky when we got there, the pac man machine was broken, the DirectTV in the master bedroom wouldn't work, the internet was spotty.

A wonderful place to stay!

My family and I thoroughly enjoy our stay at Shenandoah Woods. We have stayed in Old Wagon Lodge and Sunridge Retreat. The homes are clean, spacious and with every amenity you could ask for provided. We enjoy just getting away from the stress of everyday life and enjoy the remote woodlands and beautiful mountain scenery. We will be returning again and again.

Great spot for a remote getaway

This house was great for a remote wilderness getaway. Has tons of amenities and everything was in great condition. Had a check-in snafu with the code to the key box being wrong and having to wait for the property manager to come out and reset it, but even with that, I would recommend this place and would consider it again.

Great family trip

Great property. Plenty of room for the kids to play. Loved the playroom. Enjoyed the remote location. The only negative is having to haul off the trash. Other than that would definitely rent this property again.

Sibling Retreat

Old Wagon Lodge was ideal for our retreat. We wanted a place large enough to accommodate our family with lots of options. We played games, told stories around the fire pit and laughed and cried in front of the fireplace. SNOW was a bonus. I highly recommend the Old Wagon Lodge.

Fantastic retreat close to Shenandoah National Park

My friends and I (4 total people) stayed for two nights in the cabin. We climbed Old Rag and had a blast. The game room is fun regardless of age, we had a great time playing pool. The hot tub was a fantastic feature as well, however I will say the cleaning agents poured on the water made me cough, my friends enjoyed it a lot. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Fun

We had a great time at Old Wagon Lodge. It was well stocked with everything we needed and the property manager was so nice and easy to communicate with. We had rain during our trip which was the perfect excuse to stay in all day and have a family gaming tournament in the game room. The game tables were perfect for our two boys age seven and ten. We also enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and grill. The house is in a nice location with a short drive to Luray Caverns and town. We also enjoyed a day of hiking in Shenandoah National Park. Thank you for a memorable family getaway!

Great for Youth Groups

This is a fantastic house for a youth or Scout group. I was there with my Girl Scout group and it was perfect for us. The bunk room is the bonus! All girls could stay in one room without any discussion about who gets what room. The game room also a bonus! I highly recommend and would definitely book again! P.S. It would not let me fill out "other" for who stayed so it says friends however it was my Girl Scout Travel Troop that stayed.

Relaxing in Luray

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hot tub is very nice and seemed clean. The kids really enjoyed the game room, as did us adults at times. The fire pit is nice and big, and kept us warm outside in 20 degree weather. It snowed while we were there and the kids had fun sledding down the hill in the front yard. The house is very secluded and you literally cannot see any other houses nearby. The inside of the house had everything you needed to eat, entertain and sleep comfortably. Overall very enjoyable and would certainly go back again.

Good to relax

Place wasn’t clean and the overcharged for no reason, have to disposal our garbage because is not place to disposal, charged me for fire wood that I didn’t use.

Hipolito, we never heard from you during or after your stay. We would have been glad to send someone right over if something wasn’t right? As far as firewood goes, as it says in our listing, it’s an optional charge. All you had to do was let us know that you didn’t want it (before your booking) or didn’t use it (after your booking), and that fee would be refunded to you. I’ve actually gone ahead and refunded it to you as of writing this response. I wish you would have communicated with us- we are here to answer questions and help.

Great house for families

There were only two of us but this house had so much space and could have fit both our families! Beds were comfortable and Game Room had everything - air hockey, ping pong, foosball, magnetic darts, and even a card table. Kitchen was also nice and there was lots of seating for dining and lounging. Drive to the town of Luray was only 15 min (of very scenic views). Takes awhile to get deep into Shenandoah Park but that’s the case unless you stay in the actual park. And it was a good central location for the other activities in the surrounding are. It was a great home base for the two of us but would especially recommend if you have a large group including kids!

Quiet house in the woods

Spacious house in the woods. About 15 south of Luray. The house has lots of room for several families to stay. Each bedroom is conformable. The kitchen has up to date appliances. The front porch and back deck were really nice for socializing. A large game roo m (even has a working Ms. Pac Man). No cell service, but wifi works well. The property would look really interesting in the fall when the leaves change.

The property was beautiful, however the cleanliness was not what it should have been.

We had a great time I do think that whoever owns this should do some checking in on cleaning staff you could tell floors haven't been mopped in a while (my little ones had black feet after just a few moments of running around). The rugs in the bathrooms also were dirty so I just washed them myself. I liked that it was close enough to Luray but still out of the way.

I gave 4 stars on cleanliness due to hallway floors being very dirty. No white socks remained. Communications were horrible due to phone being very static filled. Master bedroom lamp was broken. Exchanged it with one from another bedroom. TV remote controls need new batteries. Otherwise, very nice place.

Nice, but...

Wasn't aware property was on a dirt road, luckily we had SUV. The house was larger than expected which was great. We didn't have time to use the hot tub or fire pit. Would appreciate being reimbursed for the wood! Beds were comfortable. Might want to consider large walk-in shower in master bath, or at least replace caulk, it looks nasty. But, overall i would recommend the property, wish we would have been there for a couple extra days.
