Secluded Luray Mountain Home near Shenandoah Park: Fire pit, Hot Tub, Game Room!

Get ready for relaxation, comfort and views! Misty Mountain Getaway is a 2800 sq ft, fully updated, custom built house on 4 acres that has a secluded feel.

There are mountain views from every room in the house, but its crème de la crème is the view from the living room overlooking the Shenandoah Mountains and local farm pastures. It truly is a sight to behold.

MMG has 4 bedrooms. The first master bedroom features a king size bed and large bathroom suite which includes glass shower and soaking tub. The second master bedroom includes a queen bed and private bathroom featuring a glass shower. The third bedroom has a queen bed and shares a bathroom with the fourth bedroom which has bunk beds.
A washer and dryer are available for your use.

The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to cook or bake to your heart’s content! If you have burgers on the mind, there is a propane Weber grill just outside.

We have WIFI! At 60mbps, you will be able to stream movies/shows on the 2 Smart TVs and also connect your various devices without trouble.

Have a fur-baby? So do we. We love dogs! We are not charging an extra pet fee, but please no animals on the furniture or beds. They must also be crated when left alone in the home and their waste must be picked up prior to your departure. Sorry, no cats.

Fun fact: there is a train that runs through the middle of Luray and it can be seen from behind our property. On occasion, they will blow their horn (not at night) and it can be heard from the house. It should not be loud enough to disturb sleep or other activities, but we do provide noise machines for our lighter sleepers.

This custom-built home has a stained-glass window, beautiful stone fireplace, sunken living room with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the garage has been converted into a game room with an HVAC unit.

There is so much to enjoy the beautiful outdoors near MMG! Some of our favorite local hikes include: Massanutten Storybook Trail, Stony Man and Kennedy Peak. Also, enjoy swimming, hiking, fishing, and playgrounds at nearby Lake Arrowhead. They have kayaks and canoe available for rent as well. It is a 134-acre park!

Additionally, check out Shenandoah River Outfitters, where you can rent kayaks, canoes, tubes, and rafts to float or paddle down the river! It's a short 10-minute drive away.

We have many more recommendations to include local dining in our house manual available to all guests.

We provide a starter kit of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and other supplies with an extra or two. Also, we have a coffee bar that includes k cups, tea, sometimes local coffee bags, and creamers/sweeteners. Depending on the length of your stay or size of your party, you might need to pick up extras.
