We had an incredible stay at this lovely home in Glen Ellyn! The house easily and comfortably sleeps up to 12. Very clean with a beautiful kitchen. The grounds are incredible. The pool is delightful and so is the rock waterslide. We loved dining on the Tuscan inspired outdoor table each evening and listened to music around the pit fire afterward. The gardens are so pretty. Our host was just lovely to work with! We will be back next year.
Six adults stayed comfortably for a long weekend. Home was exactly as advertised and the owner was incredibly proactive and helpful. The low water pressure made showers for 6 a bit tricky, but the pool house shower was perfect and allowed us to get everyone ready quickly. The home is landscaped really well with total privacy and minimal noise despite being on a main road. There were many places for us to relax and have fun. And Sonoma was just a 15 minute drive away! Overall, a lovely home with a caring and very responsive owner. Thank you for letting us stay at your property!
Secure, private family home with large garden, pool and hot tub, unfortunately for us the hot tub was out of order but the host arranged for a maintenance call quickly. Local village of Glen Ellen is very quaint, there is a lot of history in the areaâŠâŠ
Lovely home! It's definitely an oasis once you get through the gate - lemon trees, blooming wisteria, the pool & hot tub, the outdoor seating areas! The inside is also quite lovely and comfortable - there were 8 of us who stayed there. Everyone said their beds were comfortable. We loved having our morning coffee on the back porch overlooking the gardens, watching the sunrise over the mountains - perfection! Our evenings were spent in the hot tub enjoying cocktails! Jennifer was very helpful and accommodating - gave us lots of recommendations and provided us with extra towels and kept us posted on check-in and check-out times. We followed her recommendation to get sandwiches from the market - yummy! A few issues in the kitchen that I have let her know about - I'm sure she'll get those fixed - but we were able to prepare our meals there despite those! Highly recommend this home for your visit to wine country!
We rented this house for a girls trip and it was perfect! Great pool and hot tub and easy access to all wineries. The owner was so helpful and communicative!
We stayed at this Glen Ellen getaway for 3 nights celebrating my sister. We were able to comfortably sleep 9 adults. The house had everything we need. We stayed in one night and had a private chef dinner outside on the large wooden table under the string lights. It was a beautiful setting. The pool and hot tub are also amazing. Nights were cold so we ended up spending a lot of time in the hot tub!
Overall, this was the perfect house for what we needed! The host was super communicative, helpful, and responsive.
We loved our stay, the house had everything we needed. we enjoyed ourselves in the pool and having our morning coffees on the front porch. This house is super close to Napa and surrounding area. Jen the host was excellent, always just a text message away. If we ever return, we would stay here again!
We had a great time at the glen ellen getaway. We were 6 adults and 4 kids (8-11) there to celebrate my mother in lawâs 80th birthday, and the house was perfect for us. The kids (and adults) loved the pool and the slide and we all had fun exploring the areaâŠa hike in Jack London state park, wineries and the very cute glen ellen market. The host was very communicative, and gave us tons of recommendations before we arrived, and was available if we had any questions while we were there. We will definitely go back sometime again.
Perfect size for a group of friends or families. The outdoor space was magical. Great location to Sonoma center and many wineries! We came for our 40th birthdays and it did not disappoint. Thank you for everything Jen!
A super clean, easy to be in house with a cozy spaces, great backyard & fun pool! The owner could not have been nicer or more accommodating & we will definitely go back!
My friends and I rented this home for a friend's wedding weekend in Sonoma. It was perfect - lots of room (in terms of sleeping arrangements AND outdoor space). The backyard and pool area were a huge plus. The best part about the stay was how wonderful the host, Jen, was. She was very accommodating, communicative, and really just very sweet :) Would definitely recommend for friends or family trips.
Our annual family tripled us to Glen Ellen. We chose this property for the location, the pool and all the outdoor space. We were not disappointed. Our host, Jen was so wonderful with the communication about everything. When I did have a question, she promptly got back with me. She had wonderful suggestions of where to go and what to do. Honestly we enjoyed the property so much that we hardly left. Pool days and outdoor dinners led to the perfect environment! Our dogs were thrilled with the fenced in large property too!! Our 3rd annual trip just might be right back here!
The property is very spacious and comfortable, even for a large family (4 adults, 3 kids). The kids loft was very nice, and enjoyed thoroughly by our kids. All the amenities were as advertised. Pool and waterslide were amazing, and it was really great for hot summer afternoons in Sonoma.
Jen was a great host, and was very easy to reach with any questions we had during our stay. Would definitely recommend for a family vacation in Sonoma wine country.
There were 8 of us and the house was big enough for all. Unfortunately, it was a very rainy weekend so we weren't able to take advantage of the large yard and all it had to offer. The property is beautiful. We all said we'd like to come back in late Spring or summer to see the yard in all its glory. Very centrally located. Jenn was very helpful. And for people with children, this would be a fantastic place for the kiddos.
My family of 6 adults and 4 small children met in Glen Ellen for our first reunion in 2.5 years! Unfortunately, it rained steadily over most of our stay which put a huge damper on our activities. We spent most of our time at the house which accommodated our crew very comfortably. We cooked and relaxed and were thankful for a well appointed kitchen!
Jen was amazing to work with. She responded to communication quickly and went above and beyond to provide some extras that made our week spectacular. The home accommodated 9 of us very comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner. The yard offered fresh herbs, lemons and Granny Smith apples we incorporated in our dishes. The whole experience was so special as we enjoyed dinner under the pergola. Lots of great outdoor seating areas. Highly recommend.
We stayed for a week at this house about 5 minutes south of Glen Ellen with my nearly 90 year old mother and brother for our annual family summer getaway.
The space is lovely, with a big pool (not heated) and hot tub, grass areas, lots of seating, big back yard with large dining table and fire pit. We mostly used the pool and decks due to stairs to the backyard which my mom couldnât navigate. There is a ramp near the front which works for handicapped.
The beds were comfortable and Jen was easy to communicate with. We had some glitches with the tv (error message on smart tv so couldnât get reception for two days) and with the bbq (no propane, doesnât get hot enough). Sheâs been made aware and is looking to fix it.
With a few minor updates, this place would be spectacular. Close to many wineries, about 20 minutes to Sonoma, hiking.
The house is beautiful however the stars lost are because the host has no customer service skills. Check-in was clunky. I texted to receive the check in code information from the host directly as there was not much information shared in writing prior. Cleaners were still there when we arrived so we waited outside for them to finish. We were promised 3 full bathrooms, when we arrived to the property, there were only 2 full bathrooms due to the 3rd bathroom still being under construction. We were told this right before we arrived. 2 showers for 7 girls was a lot to juggle. My friend ended up slipping and falling in the pool house bathroom due to the rain and slippery tiles and having to frequently go outside due to lack of showers provided inside the house. The host responded defensively and with aggression to the feedback I shared. She eerily said that she had been watching us on her cameras and saw that the check in was "fine". She insinuated that I was lying. It was surprising because she was lovely at first and had shared recommendations on places to go. Her demeanor completely changed when having a conversation around the issues that we had been having.I never received any sort of refund even though the property was not as advertised. She has not followed up with me to make this right or apologize for her aggression and attitude over the phone. It was such a fun trip with friends to celebrate me getting married and dealing with her was the worst part of it.
Our family had a great time renting this property in Glen Ellen. The location is excellent and the pool, water slide and hot tub are amazing. The large pool and yard are great for families with children. Lots of room to run and play plus a garden with vegetables and fruit to pick. Host Jen was super responsive and helpful when we had an issue with the hot tub. She was able to make adjustments from her phone and it worked perfectly!
A few things to be aware of. The treehouse is pretty dilapidatedâthe owner prefers kids to stay off it because it unsafe. Our kids were a bit disappointed it wasnât functioning. There is an AC unit in the kids loft bedroom upstairs but we were unable to get the rest of the house sufficiently cool during the heatwave (over 100 degrees) so we ended up all staying in the kids room because it was the only cool room. Overall it was a great stay with a nice host and the outdoor space is what makes this house a great vacation spot for families.
We enjoyed our stay! The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor space is great. Our favorite was the hottub! Nice and big to fit all 9 of us! Host was very helpful and available! We loved the local restaurant âThe Millâ and the village market was perfect! It had everything we needed!
We have many fond memories of our kids and their friends enjoying our "Crunchy" house (3 year old Sam couldn't say "Country" so "Crunchy" stuck!). From Easter Egg hunts to carving pumpkins grown on the property, stargazing and pool parties, Fall harvests (we make our own olive oil) and spring plantings - there are lots of ways for kids (and adults) to get dirty and have some good old fashioned fun at the place. We love sharing our house with guests and want everyone to have a great time and make wonderful memories like we have... and continue to do!
It is the geographic center of Sonoma Valley so the best location to easily reach any of its world class wineries, activities, concerts, events, film festivals which are scheduled year round.
Due to its many unique microclimates and significant terrain differences Sonoma Valley has 425 wineries within its 30 square miles. It is both the oldest wine region in the state and has the most diverse selection of wine grapes (60 varietals).
Despite its world class status, with many celebrities choosing it as their home, it has remained rural and down to earth in character. All people are welcomed equally and you can dress up as little or as much as you like and feel completely comfortable.
The valley is full of history and includes a large natural Wildlife Corridor. Hiking paths into Jack London State Park and a local regional park start right at our front door.
There are many specialty shops and fantastic restaurants all within a couple minutes of the house.
In short we never run out of things to do and places to explore and it is enjoyable year round!
Large private property to stretch out in with many separate areas within to enjoy. A small orchard, a garden, lawn areas, a swinging large bench under an oak, views from many places on the property in both directions, nestled in the narrowest part of the valley between the two mountain ranges. Great microclimate keeping it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Great location yet private enough to feel like a true country getaway.
