Although we hit an incredibly hot and humid stretch in August - unprecedented in our years of vacationing at the Cape, the large awning right on the beach made it possible for us to spend most of our time right there enjoying the ocean breezes. Cottage had wonderful selection of pots, pans, gadgets and, fortunately many fans! Would have liked a gas grill instead of charcoal. Breakfast on the kitchen-side porch and dinner on the seaside porch were very nice and comfortable. Kitchen garden provided tons of delicious cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes, and lots of spices.
Hands down the best vacation rental I've ever found. It's tempting to write a bad review so that the house doesn't book up completely but it was a perfect stay for our group of four families. The back yard is your private beach. Bedrooms are plentiful and common areas--indoor and out--are spacious and comfortable. It's a classic cottage home that will really allow you to feel like you're getting away from it all.
Our group varied in number from 7 to 13 and there was plenty of room for all. A beautiful and rustic home filled with comfort and all the conveniences you might ever need. Private beach was amazing; warmest New England waters I have ever experienced. We have been experiencing new places every year, but this one we would repeat if given the chance!
Stayed here for a long weekend, we had a really great time! Loved the beach, the sail and chairs setup is amazing . The owners were very helpful and responsive, Halsey's input as i was lighting the pizza oven was much appreciated. Our first attempt at Homemade wood fired pizza, it was delicious and a lot of fun! Would definitely like to return!
Peaceful, secluded location with breathtaking views of the bay. Permanent canopy down at the beach was incredibly convenient. Accommodated all our family with ease -- house felt bigger than it looked in photos. Kids loved sharing upstairs space. Close to the bike path and town center. Excellent vacation!
This cottage is great fun even in the stormy, stark weather of Massachusetts. Drive on the dirt road into
the beautiful coastal landscape abundant with wildlife. Park near the weathered shed or under the trees
and then walk up the nautical styled ramp past a bountiful vegetable garden with direct access to the
cooking patio and well stocked kitchen. This 1950s classic shingled cottage sits atop a bluff overlooking
a spectacular warm water bay just a few steps away. It is simple and spartan with floors and furnishings
of pine. Step back in time as you choose a clean, cozy bedroom with beautiful views from the antique
windows. This prime location offers a gorgeous beach with a serious tent for shade, plenty of beach
chairs, a substantial ocean raft, and jetties for fishing. Take a solar outdoor shower and then sip cocktails
under the umbrella on the ocean facing deck with music piped outdoors. Youâll find all the modern
amenities of a gourmet kitchen, laundry room, and wifi if you want them. Feel the delicious breeze through
the cottage windows while watching the kite surfers sail into the sunset. Get your rest for the morningâs
bike ride on the landmark bike trail just past the dirt road entrance ⊠a perfect Cape Cod vacation.
This is a perfect house for a family or two. Plenty of bed space, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. It's not fancy. But if what you value is a gorgeous beach (no other spot on this beach was nicer or more private) and relaxation, then this is it for you. And the owners were fantastically helpful. Our kids loved it; we loved it. We'll be back!

The beach house has been in the family since 1939 and has been lovlngly cared for through the years.
This house is unique in its private location with its own beach. There is a shade tent on the beach for a break from the sun. After a day on the beach, enjoy the sunset looking across Buzzards Bay. Added bonus on July 4th watching fireworks from different towns all along the bay. A perfect spot for a getaway.
Park your car and bike for the remainder of your vacation! Easy access via bike to nearby West Falmouth Market, and Shining Sea Rail Trail to Woods Hole. Other nature exploration can be found on the path down to the marsh behind the house for excellent viewing of birds, fiddler crabs, and other wildlife.
