The owner neglected to tell us until a day before we moved in and it was too late to cancel and look for alternative housing that the entire building is surrounded by scaffolding which is covered in non-transparent plastic. This has been the case for over a year and a half according to the owner, so clearly at the time when we booked. So, overall, you feel like living in a dungeon.Also, âbalconyâ and âprivate gardenâ technically exist, but not useable.The apartment is sparse (no tv or microwave for example), but functional. When we moved in, one of the beds had a ton of sand on it, so cleaning was spotty. Internet was spotty too, although frequent rebooting seemed to help.Shower drains super slowly, so itâs easy too flood the bathroom if you donât turn off the shower occasionally. You also know you are living in someone elseâs flat, because most drawers are labeled âprivateâ as are several strorage closets and the childâs room. So, not a ton of space to put your own things.On the positive side, the location is excellent. You can get anywhere very quickly. Lots of restaurants within just a few minutes walk. The unit has both a washing machine and dryer, which is great for people on a longer trip needing to do some laundry. The beds are smallish for two people, but quite comfortable and there is a second, separate toilet.In summary, it was ok but no more than that for us.
