Great stay in a residential neighborhood

My wife, daughter and I stayed at this property for 2 nights to drop off our daughter for college. The property is a 5 min drive to the university district. Our host, Kelly, was very helpful in providing useful background information about the unit and nearby shops, restaurants, etc. She was also flexible in allowing us to check-in early & checkout late which helped our schedule a lot. The property was as advertised. We enjoyed the lake that is just steps away. This will be our first choice to return to the next time we visit Seattle.

Proximity to Green Lake, restaurants, groceries and major attractions couldn’t be better. Key pad entry lock was unlighted and frustrating to use. Apartment interior was recently finished and well appointed. Access to public transit was excellent.

Great spot!

We stayed at this property for four nights and it had everything we needed with a great location to boot! We were able to walk to several places and there was easy on-street parking. Excellent communication from the Host. Highly recommend!

Awesome Location

This is a great location and spacious property that is self- contained. The owner is thoughtful and accommodating. Other than the typical foot traffic noise from upstairs and some minor updates that would be helpful, the property is good choice for visitors. The proximity to the walking and running trail along Lake is convenient and lovely. Locals use it daily. Downtown Seattle is literally a hop skip and jump. If you want to stay outside of downtown in a lovely tree lined neighborhood with local coffee houses and restaurants, this is your choice!

Great Location!

The house is in an awesome neighborhood! One block from Green Lake and only a couple minutes walk to restaurants, a great coffee shop(Zoka) and a donut shop(Mighty-O). The drive into downtown was short and easy. The property itself was quiet and had plenty of room for our family. The house was stocked with the essentials, and bonus there was even a locker with kids games and books! If we come back to Seattle we’ll definitely look to stay here again! Thank you Kelly!

Great stay

We were very comfortable in this cozy little apartment. The owner, who lived upstairs was incredibly responsive to our needs. We were long term rentals in the area for medical reasons and the owner was a great source of suggestions and answers to our many questions. She provided a well stocked kitchen. The bed was comfortable and furnishings were contemporary and a nice reflection of the area. Our favorite activity was a daily walk around Green Lake which was only a block away.

Perfect location, great stay

This is the second time my family stayed at the apartment. The host was very helpful and responsive to messages. My family loved the design of the apartment - it is a cool, modern space that has everything we need (particularly a washer, dryer and modern kitchen). Lots of parking, recreation attractions, and bus stops are nearby. We plan to stay again in the future.

Great location and clean space!

Six of us stayed here and loved it. Being right next to Green Lake allowed us to take morning walk/runs around the Lake and walk down to local coffee/food spots to enjoy! Kelly was accommodating and reminded us to use the deck/patio which we ate dinner one night on. We also were in a great location to Uber to downtown or go more north if we wanted. Thanks for a great stay!

Excellent value, terrific location

This is a great getaway spot for a couple or small family. It is modern and clean, with everything you'll need to have a comfortable stay. We came with our two small children and it was great - the place even had some toys and books that the kids enjoyed. I walked to Green Lake, one block away, for a lovely morning stroll. We had a rental car, but I know the buses are close by and can take you downtown or most anywhere you need to go. I'm a Seattle native and know this location is terrific; plus, it's quieter and easier to park than downtown or the more touristy areas. This is a great value for what you get. Highly recommend.

Nice, quiet basement apartment with everything you need, right by the lake

My family and I (5 adults) came to Seattle for a long weekend. We used to live in town and were returning to some of our favorite spots. This was the perfect basement apartment for us for the long weekend. 1 block walk from Greenlake, but parking was still ample. Not really any noise to speak of. The apartment is stocked with towels, bedding, dishes, etc. There is an iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer as well. Some games & books for kiddos, etc. It does sleep 6, but this can be a bit tight depending on people's sizes. One couple had the largest bed, I believe a queen size. My wife and I shared the full size bed, which was tricky for my 6' 4" height. Our final guest grabbed a couch, which they gave mixed reviews for sleeping quality. I believe there was an air mattress available, but we didn't make use of it. For the price and location, we were absolutely thrilled with our stay. Would definitely rent here again in the future!

A beautiful neighborhood, very quiet and safe and one block from Green Lake with fabulous views and walking path. Only 2 miles from UW and 10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Some great restaurants and coffee bars close by. The apartment is very clean and well equipped with lots of space. Beds are comfortable and the whole apartment is like new. The family live above but we did not hear them and we had all the privacy we could wish for. Safe and secure with key code lock. Would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants a nice quiet residential area so close to everything. We will certainly stay here again.

A Great Stay in Seattle

We spent a week at this comfortable basement apartment in the Green Lake neighborhood. It's located just one block from Green Lake, which is a huge park heavily used by local residents and visitors. The location is also very convenient for walking to the Tangletown, Fremont, Wallingford, and Green Lake Village areas with tons of great restaurants, coffee bars, pubs, and beautiful sights and sounds. It's also very easy to catch the bus to downtown Seattle too, although our kids insisted on chauffeuring us around. A highly recommended property! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location, great for our family of four!

First of all, I should say this is an amazing neighborhood - it's like living in a garden. It is close to the lake and many great restaurants, so there were many places we walked to from the house. My family of four took a taxi from the airport and meant to rent a car, but it was so easy to ride the bus, we never got around to it. The bus line near the house took us to the aquarium, pike place market, fremont troll, space needle, etc. The only walk that seemed long was to the rose garden & zoo nearby. Then again, I was pushing a stroller & encouraging my other child to keep walking. :-D The apartment is lovely and private. The owners bedrooms are two floors up, so we didn't hear them at night. They claimed they didn't hear us either, but we are loud, so I am surprised. It is a basement, so there is less light, but there is a deck outside to relax on. We were out and about all day, so it was nice to have a cozy place to retreat. I'd like to rent here in the summer because we've had problems with too much light at night - the kids don't believe it is nighttime when the sun goes down at 10p.m. Very friendly, helpful owners. I will rent again if it is available when we are in Seattle.

Low Key Home Away From Home

My wife and I and our three adult children (ages 26, 23, and 21) stayed here for several days and loved it. The apartment is as advertised and is surprisingly spacious and easy to hang around in, as well as being an excellent home base to explore Seattle and the surrounding neighborhoods. Best were great, kitchen well supplied, and the washer and dryer (with detergent!) were super convenient. Potential renters should not be worried about the fact this rental is a basement with folks living upstairs. It feels private (has its own entry) and you won't be disturbed by the folks upstairs. Our kids gave it two thumbs up, as do we. The icing on the cake was the excellent and fun communication from the owners. They are prompt, professional and helpful, but also have a great sense of humor. We'd come back without question.

The place is very big and well distributed with a great bathroom and comfy living room area. The hosts are very friendly. The location is the best, only a few steps from the beautiful Greenlake, restaurants, coffee shops, supermarket and several yoga places and gyms.

Couldn't of ask for anything better!

Our family (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed here for 2 months and it was absolutely perfect! The place was great with 2 spacious bedrooms and the unit had everything we needed. Close to freeway and a block off green lake - you can't get much better than that. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again for any travel to Seattle.

Excellent Accommodation!

Our family stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday and were extremely pleased. The unit itself was spacious and comfortable. The owner was very helpful, responsive and pleasant to deal with. Tastefully decorated with a lot of fun accents. The area was beautiful in a quiet neighborhood with restaurants, grocery shopping, and quaint shops nearby. Easy freeway access and only a few exits away from downtown Seattle. The lake was less than a five minute walk away and was nice for a very pleasant/peaceful afternoon/evening walk. We will definitely consider this property for a return visit when we are in Seattle again. Definitely a great value for the comforts of home away from home. Thank you so much!

We have two young kids and an English lab, Isis. We're active, and Green Lake has a lot of activities and amenities close by. We're a one-car family, and able to make it work. Green Lake has a good balance of access to downtown and neighborhood feel.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

It was Kelly's favorite house in the neighborhood, and the stars aligned to make it possible for us to move in. It's been three years of renovations, but now we're all done.

It's easy to access downtown, but there's a lake and a lot of activities within a mile or two (even Woodland Park Zoo). It's a popular Seattle neighborhood, particularly in the spring and summer.
